  1. My dream is to write a book about the worst collapses in sports history! It's in the blood pal.
  2. There were 6 subs. That's at least 3 mins of added time.
  3. Assuming we stay up, would rather Huddersfield in the PL than Swansea. Weaker side that'll go down next season.
  4. Huddersfield are such a sh*thouse team
  5. Adam Blackmore said something similar.
  6. That article reads pretty smugly to me.
  7. What says ambition more than having a sweaty midget with a sports degree heartily slapping you on the back when you arrive for your first day at staplewood...
  8. Aaron mooy too.
  9. Boufal certainly is toxic. Would figure.
  10. Did he even travel? Good to see Lemina looking happy though.
  11. We were going to have to roll the dice at some point - its clear that we needed a win and there wasn't a clear like-for-like option on the bench. What were going to do? Bring a raw Mcqueen on and shuffle Bertrand, one of our best attacking threats, over to the third CB?
  12. 6 mins felt short tbf. Given refs typically play 3-4 mins injury time, it felt as if Bednarek was down for longer than 2-3 mins.
  13. Quarter finals, wasn't it? Thankfully there weren't too many controversial incidents last night. A couple of dodgy handball shouts but nothing seriously troubling.
  14. I'm sure he'll be at SMS on Sunday, looking pleasantly sedated...
  15. Not seen that much of his shot-stopping; but he's an old-fashioned keeper who's brave and decisive.
  16. No Calamity Yoshida compared to Cack Stephens and Wesley Shîte? He's probably the best of a sorry bunch.
  17. Their biggest winning goal margin this season is 6 (Watford); they've also won by 5 goals against Liverpool, Palace, Stoke and Swansea. Their average winning margin is 2 goals. Of course Swansea also have to deliver on their side: they've not scored in the past four games, are the joint lowest scorers in the league and actually concede two goals for ever goal they score, though they did beat West Ham by three goals earlier on in the season. Freak events do occur -hell clueless Dalek's prediction of 17th might be correct for once; but a 10 goal swing is beyond even that pale.
  18. Assuming Bertrand and Cedric go, we’re looking at possibly a new back four. With Yoshida seemingly on his way out, I hope we bring in not one but two CBs. Otherwise we need pace and power further up the pitch and a mix of players - dare I say it some with actual PL experience. Wouldn’t be against shopping in the championship again.
  19. We’re better than Brighton - not so sure about Watford who have some decent players but seem a mess behind the scenes. Note both those sides have beaten the top sides which we’ve singularly failed to do now for two seasons.
  20. This isn't a bottom three squad but unless revamped it is a squad that will struggle again next season. We've been pretty dire all season - management certainly explains some of it but not all of it. I would shed any tears if the vast majority of players who featured tonight weren't at the club next season.
  21. For a side already starved of confidence, it would have been very easy to throw in the towel after the West Ham rout, conceding late goals at Arsenal and Everton and collapsing against Chelsea in less than ten minutes. That he helped the side ride out those emotional rollercoasters while having his hands tied to a large extent underscores the top job he has done.
  22. Arrogance, hubris and a willingness to court publicity when times are good yet disapppear when backs are against the walls aren't favourite qualities of mine.
  23. Time to put the scumbag out to pasture. No doubt, somewhere, Les is patting himself on the back. What are the odds that we hear statements about how we didn't panic and kept calm under pressure in the next few months.
