  1. He's one of our most creative players, one of the few who can pick out a through ball, according to some on here!
  2. There have been plenty of games that we've dominated but ultimately created very little in. It's propaganda football.
  3. Pal, it's called having a Plan B (C, D, E, F....) on here
  4. An obituary on here for a female comic. The times they are a changin.
  5. Why was it a big factor in us going out? Apart from the last 10-15mins, they scarcely threatened us and we had plenty of the ball. What we missed that night was some composure and creativity on the ball (just like the previous Watford game where Wanyama did feature). Mané, if anything, was the bigger miss in Denmark. Wanyama was a nob but the usual platitudes and herd-like revisionism don't change the fact that his absence was largely a sideshow.
  6. The idea that Koeman doesn't have a defined style is feeble drivel. Two seasons in and its pretty clear what Koeman's priorities are: the emphasis on defensive compactness, including from midfield; the importance of conventional wingplay as our main source of creativity and the relative indifference to possession - both of which have implications for the type of forward we use. The formations may change, though the style doesn't. The comparisons with Pulis are obvious hyperbole; but I'd argue Koeman has more in common with Pards (at least when he was at the club) than Poch or even Adkins.
  7. Agree. ALWAYS_SFC is also playing his usual blinder. It'ssome feat on here when happy-clappers and bed-wetters alike think you're a nob.
  8. You might call it schadenfreude.

  11. Remember up at Hartlepool on a Tuesday night, some of our lot creaming themselves silly over some steward that had a passing resemblance to Alan Carr. #epic bantz #L1glorydays
  12. Suspect the author who hasn't seen us play much - among other things, he overestimates Tadic's impact and inportance. Perhaps Tadic has less margin for error in Koeman's spartan, no-thrills system; but it's not like he hasn't had chances. On the whole, Tadic has failed to live up to his billing.
  13. We don't retain the ball as well when only Long plays - not holding Long responsible, more its a reflection of our ball retention in midfield. With Pelle, at least, we have a more reliable outball, notwithstanding the careless flicks. Long is excellent at attacking the ball in the air, but doesn't hold it up as well. We also swap one form of predictability for another with Long: we hit too many hopeful balls down the channels to chase. For every result like Arsenal (though it was hardly vintage football), there's been a performance like Bournemouth when Long leads the line. They're a decent partnership, even if RK has sometimes played Long out of position on the wing. Frankly until Austin shows he can do what Pelle does, I wouldn't let Pelle go anywhere.
  14. VVD wasn't playing that day. Physically he's more than a match for Lukaku.
  15. Morgan not strong enough.
  16. A very good commentator. Always very balanced.
  17. He's looked very good in the games I've seen him. Newcastle changed their gameplay in the recent derby because of him. Actually thought Souey's comments were pretty funny given the general leicester love-in. Properly c**ted them. What an atrocious miss...
  18. Kirchhoff HCDAJFU
  19. There already is one against joining ISIS. Not sure what your point is.
  20. They played nothing like Bournemouth - not sure what game you were watching pal. Compared to Bournemouth, there was no overlap to speak of. Fuch was Cedric's man in that passage of play and he simply failed to close him down.
  21. It was his man (we played 3-5-2 if you remember). Indeed Souness picked up on Cedric's poor positioning right away. That said, their move started from a rash and poor Bertrand clearance. Thankfully his name isn't Yoshida.
  22. Stoke's atmosphere is very overrated.
  23. B*****ks
  24. Would take Sissoko - good player in there; been coasting it with a sub-par side. Not sure whether some of the touted big clubs would still come in for him.
  25. We'll have to win all our remaining games if you want that to be the case.
