We’ve reached the point where many Brexiters are so morally compromised and set in their position that they’re likely to dismiss this as a witch-hunt, a political form of project fear and secondary to getting Brexit done. -

I think you’re thinking about Guided Missile. Not a dickie bird from you, Les and the rest of your merry little band. -

Not sure I agree. The Brexiters, led by the press, were chomping at the bit and pressuring May to trigger article 50. Its hard to see how she could have resisted that pressure for very long to hold what would have effectively been a moratorium on Brexit. Cummings characterisation of delaying article 50 is also highly misleading and naive: the EU explicitly refused talks until article 50 had been triggered, so the only benefit from waiting would have come from working with the rest of the House to find out what was and wasn’t politically feasible. But the Conservative government and Cummings have never shown any appetite to compromise or build consensus. Quite the opposite. Let’s also not forget that leading lights of Vote Leave believed that the UK held all the cards in negotiations. I suspect there’s a fair bit of revisionism going to cover up a basic underestimation of the complexity that Brexit involved. Much easier and less incriminating to pin the blame on poor execution than the folly of the project itself. The real error was not that May triggered article 50 too early but that she failed to reach out to the rest of the House after pîssîng away her majority in the 2017 GE. Indeed had she not called a GE early, her withdrawal agreement would have likely passed with conservative backbench support, making the timing of triggering article 50 of little relevance or importance in the grand scheme.

A proper oddball, worshipped by quite a few on here. -

Not sure how you draw the conclusions you have. If you accept the findings, remain voters may interact less with leave voters (than vice-versa) and may be more 'bothered' than leave voters; but it doesn't follow they exhibit greater abuse and hatred towards them - certainly not the types of abuse we're discussing. -
I thought Glasgow Born-Again Saint would be all over this - down to Euston in 4h30mins, jump on the Victoria Line and he could basically sleepwalk the rest.

Where's this polling? I'd be interested to see it. -

Both are terms of abuse but being called thick (it’s true in Guided Missile’s case mind) is far less incendiary and dangerous than being called a traitor. -
They’re not even attempting to hide it. There’s nothing novel or clever about it; you just have to look at the discourse and language on here over the last three years to see what sells.

Jess phillips receiving death threats directly quoting the PM and now her office on lockdown; lawyers involved in the Supreme Court prorogation case forced to wear stabproof vests. Those leftie extremists sure do get around a fair bit #bothsides

To be fair, the idiots who were drawing a false equivalence between right-wing and left-wing violence have gone very quiet. Presumably because they realise how stupid their comments were. -
To be fair, that fan should be ashamed of himself. Absolute clown.

I’ve been a big critic of his. After a bright start (well a game or two), he went badly off the boil under Puel and Pellegrino: however, he proved me wrong last season and had seemingly stepped up a gear. Was really looking forward to see him progress again this season. So far, however, he’s regressed and his old habits seem less like growing pains than basic features of his game. Don’t get me wrong: he’s a decent player but lacks the technique and finesse on the ball to play for a big club and be much more than a rich man’s David Prutton.

If you ever need any help, give us a shout pal. It can be quite hard building a trackrecord without a ST or any real away travel record. Shame about your no-show at Wembley last season. Getting on the membership ladder is a start but it’s all about baby steps. Don’t give up. Its precisely fans with your passion that the club should be encouraging and rewarding.

Didn’t Danso originally start as a DM/CM with MK Dons?
-
Why’s that? He’s historically struggled against Harry Kane but his performance last night was excellent.
-
Sounds like his injury is pretty serious.

Anyone travelling down by train from London? Likelihood of getting the last train back or are they going to force us on the train to soton? OB are very quiet.
-
Nobody is saying it wasn’t offside - point is they cut us open pretty easily in a way we struggled to do most of the match.
-
Didn’t he play left back/LWB against United? And tonight he starts on the right...

Outplayed tonight. Lots of huff and puff second half but no real quality. Defense remains a liability, so makes Ralph’s team selection all the more inexcusable. Anyway we’ll lick our wounds and move on.
