  1. You're a clown - you obviously haven't seen us play much or forget that our inability to score from open play this season is not a new issue. Relying on our two FBs is like getting width on the cheap -and it's limitations are exposed away from home where the FBs do not have the same license to get forward, with or without 2 DMs. By 'extremely talented' you probably mean superhuman. Even at home its difficult to execute when your squad is thin -only Clyne and Shaw genuinely provide that option -and one has been injured and the other keeps getting injured. One reason we were so lopsided at times yesterday. Second you are setting up a total straw man. Nobody is saying we need wingers per se; but more pace and directness cutting in off the flanks gives us something different (it's probably the main reason Jrod continues to get picked, notwithstanding his patchy form). Indeed, most other teams that play a similar formation -Swansea, Spurs- set up with pace coming off the wider areas. Spurs aren't just keen to have Rose and Naughton to bomb on - they have Bale, Lennon et al. The contrast couldn't be more striking. No coincidence really that we were heavily linked with Sinclair who plays as an inside forward/striker/winger.
  2. Jrod offers us pace and directness that few others do -and for that reason he'll stay in the team. That's not necessarily a compliment to his current form -and it would be nice if he had more competition (Sinclair would have offered it). FWIW, Lambert didn't have a great day: some of his passing was poor -alot of underhit and telegraphed stuff.
  3. Agree the right hand side was our weak link first half - JWP was helped second half by the fact that Sunderland had dropped deep to the edge of their own area giving him and Wanyama plenty of time and space to carry the ball forward.
  4. Injury- Clyne wasn't playing on his preferred side. I like Chambers but he doesn't give you what Clyne and Shaw do. I hope MP goes back to that tandem for Norwich.
  5. Thought Lallana was very good - agree Jrod was pretty poor.

    Lee Mason

Was the lino's call correct for the disallowed goal?
  7. Or cos he's crap. Been poor for a while now.
  8. Didnt Sinclair basically play as a striker for Swansea?
  9. Moses > Sinclair
  10. Too many knee jerk posters who in their desire to ****** on others parade can't look at the question objectively. Not many clubs experienced a cup final, got relegated after years in the top flight, fell again and were on the brink of oblivion, were saved by a white knight, hurtled up the leagues and now look stronger than ever. End of.
  11. Maybe you'll just about break even after the s**t load you lost on Osvaldo then...
  12. Where have you been all day? Still looking for Pards in public toilets?
  13. No chance will we go with this. We didn't play three DMs at a tough place like WBA, why would we do it at home against a relatively weak side?
  14. The stat in itself is not particularly illuminating - what matters more is the number of long balls as a % of total passes.
  15. It's not that much - it's a million for every hundred appearances. Peanuts really.
  16. Pretty good. Possibly needs two verses for the chorus? the song is perfect for football, pretty status quoy and sing-a-longy
  17. He said in his interview on Saturday that he was going up to Liverpool to spend time with his daughter and family.
  18. Why are you taking your cues from a gibbering scouse drama queen (jamie carragher on Monday night football)?
  19. Unfortunately I can't make the draft at 7pm - can do the same day at an earlier time but 7pm is a stretch; otherwise feel free to give my place away.
  20. How's our crack habit looking?

  22. Do you know something we don't?
  23. Very tidy indeed. Only piled in today.
  24. Carroll will probably be having his hair done - being congenitally injury-prone, has enough time on his hands.
  25. Given we were reportedly offering £20+ for Damiao, its indeed a bargain. Would also suggest we have some spare cash in the kitty.
