I would play Harding against big strong opponents to start with but otherwise Dickson who has more going for him with ball control and talent. Would like to see Ryan have a really long run to reach his full potential. Can't help either to be unsure who is the number one LB and whether they will start a game or not.

I don't go along with this idea. If a player is upset because we have brought in a better player for his position so what. Get over it and improve or do the other thing and go elsewhere. We are trying to improve the squad so why should we worry about upsetting one or two players that aren't what Nigel wants.

Harley may be a good player but not IMO good enough for the top. Therefore we need some players coming through the ranks from higher clubs league wise that are unable to get a game maybe.

Left Southampton when In was 16 in 62 and have never returned. Lived close enough mostly to make home games and any away games nearby. Kids are learning to be Saints and apart from trips on matchdays have hardly ever been to the fair city.

I agree. Paul may have been slower than a beach donkey but he always gave his best. He just wasn't ready for a team that play as we do. Good luck Paul.

Lallana has to be the one. Even when unfit he came back from injury and started to show how badly he was missed.

Don't forget Richardson and Lallana were both injured in pre-season as well. Barnard also started the season with a few niggles which were eventually cleared up and only now is he fully fit.

Nigel does have a habit of saying too much with the number of words but he does show a positive attitude. I also find his talking about January very positive and more than a little interesting. It leaves me hoping that we will see our team strengthened big time where needed, to give Nigel the options he wants for the team to play as he demands.
