Woken up this morning and I'm still not quite sure how we didn't score a third. Their keeper did make some good saves but there were times when our players seemed reluctant to pull the trigger. Nevertheless, we played well second half and I'm sure there will be games where we don't deserve a point but get one.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but it's (somewhat) interesting to note that in the latest Saintsplayer coverage - of the under 21s' victory over Brentford- Martin Hunter talks about our defensive pairing and points out that we have now converted Harlee Dean from a central midfielder to a centre back; with some sucess. Not sure if this was the intention when we brought him in, I suspect not, but perhaps one to watch for the first team in the not so distant future...

Would be very pleased if we got Baldock- is in great form at the moment and with Adkins' track record with young strikers he could be a really great player in a year or two.

Fernandes looks like he has a bit of pace and can cause us problems.

I wonder if their bid is less than Peterborough's or MK Dons have upped their valuation.

Those of you saying about him not being a ball winning defender- I agree neither him nor Fonte have a lot of ariel dominance like Jaidi, but could a defence not be just as competent if not more so with two intelligent cbs who can both cover each other and pass the ball? Like having two Fontes playing together.

If he has pace and is comfortable with the ball at his feet and can pass to feet, sign him up I say.

As much as I think Puncheon is a **** and his attitude stinks, I'd still love to have him back in the 1st team squad, minus the attitude. Obviously never gonna happen though.

Have you ever seen him interviewed? He thinks he's one of the best strikers in the world. There's no way he'd drop down, even if we wanted him, which I sincerely doubt.

Would be an excellent signing by all accounts.
