Songs for the new boys...
for_heaven's_Saint replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
How about one to the tune of the 'If I had the wings of a sparrow' song. The word's to the orignal are: My bonnie lies over the ocean, My bonnie lies over the sea, My bonnie lies over the ocean, So bring back my bonnie to me. If we call Forte Jonny rather than Adkin's favourite 'Jonno' you could change it to: 'Our Jonny will win us promotion, Our Jonny will win us the league..... I'll get my coat. -
I'll be there, with many other London Saints.

And his lack of side burns is unnerving. -
Morons to the left of me, morons to the right

No problem with name calling as long as it isn't racist. I don't think that's really an unusual stance? -

haha I need tolerance because I have a problem with racism? Do you not see the irony in what you've said? -

First comment is fair enough- someone's opinion. Second comment unacceptable and if you heard someone saying that you should have reported him. -
The Ex-Saints still have their box and they invite about six ex-players at a time to matches meaning that all the members get to see Saints at some point in the season. I agree it is difficult to draw the line because there are some players in the Ex-saints who never made a first team appearance but this isn't to say they don't love the club as much as others. However it does show that it would be very difficult and costly for the club to make concessions for Ex-Saints because some would have to be excluded. I also agree that whilst some may not like NC, they do not want the club to fail. I actually don't think they realise that they are perhaps being a little narrowminded and selfish in complaining about the lack of recognition and concessions for the old players and truly believe it is detramental to the club.

Tbh I'm a little surprise by this story having heard first hand some of the Ex-Saints' opinions on NC. But if they are able to remain adult and professional and work through their differences that can only be a good thing.

Think he scored when I went to Old Trafford and we lost 2-1.

Truly unbelievable.

I'm not sure it says that people are going to be forced to eat vegetarian food? Which is what your first post implied. -
EDL 10,000 People March (Oh Ok then maybe just a 1000)
for_heaven's_Saint replied to Gemmel's topic in The Lounge
The problem is that the EDL complain that people aren't patriotic any more when they are exactly the reason I'm embarassed to call myself 'English'. -

How does people saying they're racist further their cause? -

I think you're wumming, but we both know that's not true. -

Can't remember where I watched it, probably on YouTube, but it only took a couple of pints for their leader (whose alias comes from the name of a famous football hooligan- go figure) to describe the enemies of the EDL as pak*s. They're racist, anyone who says they're not is either seriously diluded or trying to hide their own racism. -
Depends how good you are...

Bad news everyone. Tony Pulis, in his trademark cap, is negotiating a new deal for his son Anthony, who's sat on his own as usual.

Yeah it probably has and I'll visit them eventually I expect. Just thought people on here may have first hand experience of actually looking through applicants' CVs and therefore be able to offer a different opinion, which they have and it's been helpful. Now if anyone wants to give me a job you know where I am!
-
The only thing is with my CV, I don't really have any relevant work experience because I've gone straight from school to college to university and only worked part time in retail/a pub. The only transferrable skills I've really got are those learnt at Uni e.g research skills, ability to work to deadlines etc. Don't even know if it's worth including 2 years at Marks and Spencer when I was 16-18.

If by paper boy you mean photocopier salesman, I think you're on the right lines!

Thanks for the tips guys. As for the question as to what sort of job I'm going for, I frankly have no idea. I guess I need to work out what I'm good at quite soon :-/

Well not quite but that wasn't a bad bet really. Hopefully that should have tired Carlisle out before Saturday!
