Absolute sh*te.

This is the sort of game where it was great to have Pelle (and before that Lambert) up top. Someone to hold up the long clearances, win flick ons and bring others in to the game.

Insipid, blunt, banal, toothless etc

Away end is sold out.
-
It would be nice if we could come out attacking (like we did against Spurs) but actually maintain it for the whole game. It's so frustrating when we appear to take our foot off of the gas.
-
Forster is ****.
-
Hopefully Jrod won't make it hat-trick of putting the ball over from a yard out. Our best bet will probably be on the counter attack as I can see them pressing us high.

Need to replace one of JWP or Redmond.

Goals Here -
You must either be a new fan or have a bad memory then.

I wonder if Puel will persist with playing him as a 'striker' or might try him elsewhere soon. We have looked more like 4-3-3 recently so maybe he'll improve.
-
I actually think some of Bertrand's deliveries recently have been just as good, if not better than JWP's. It's good to have a left and right footer to take them from different sides.
-
Hope Jrod doesn't start tbh. Would rather see Sims up there. Hoping the fact that Boufal came off earlyish at Arsenal means he might start here too.

I love the behind angle video of that pass where you can see VVD applauding the pass!

Is this the best depth of squad we've ever had?
for_heaven's_Saint replied to Saint Jude's topic in The Saints
Indeed. Given the fact that we ultimately want to introduce as many youngsters into the team as possible, Puel really is our ideal manager. Interestingly, I read earlier that we have used the most amount by of players of any team in the league cup this year- 25. -

Ronald Koeman take note. -
This seems to happen a lot unfortunately- you just need to watch the recent Louis Theroux documentary revisiting Jimmy Saville to see a couple of examples. Perhaps people make some subconscious attempt to distance themselves from guilt they feel about not seeing it at the time. Or perhaps they're just ignorant and heartless.

Obviously a true supporter. Guessing quite a few of us would have seen him at games even if we didn't know him. RIP, 47 is way too young. -
I hope we're practicing our set pieces because I can't see us scoring from open play.

I'd go with ------------Forster------------ Cedric--Fonte--VVD--Bertrand ------------Romeu------------ ----Hojbjerg--------Davis---- Redmond---Austin------Tadic

+1. Don't understand why they haven't done it before now. Would easily be the best selling shirt for years.

Rumours of takeover/investment interest
for_heaven's_Saint replied to eling-saint's topic in The Saints
Not only this, but I'd argue that as the money from sponsorship and TV grows, income from matchday revenue becomes increasingly irrelevant. Though I suppose indirectly more fans means more investment from sponsors. -
Pretty much the whole of the Northam, a lot of Kingsland North and Itchen North stand up anyway. I don't remember the last time I sat down during a game (except at half time). As for the Hillsboroigh worries, it's really not comparable now is it? For starters the electronic turnstiles mean that you can only get into the section your ticket is for. I don't really understand why people are against it. No one is going to be forced to stand if they don't want to.
