  1. 4-2-2-2 or 4-2-3-1?
  2. Indeed. It's not often a player consistently beats Peter Crouch in the air.
  3. Hence the word 'eventually'.
  4. Depending on formation going forward, I think we need a quality, goal scoring midfielder (or two) and possibly an upgrade on Cedric if we are going with wing backs. Plus probably someone to eventually replace Fonte.
  5. Surely just the fact that all ticket barriers are automated will solve a lot of the potential dangers? It's pretty much impossible to get into a particular section of the ground without having a ticket for it.
  6. David Nugent is a ****.
  7. Spurs look like they want it more at the moment.
  8. To be fair we haven't got much silverware to display!
  9. I can't find them now, but I believe it was before the Swansea game that Koeman said he had left Cedric on the bench so that we could have better quality early crosses (or words to that effect). That said, Cedric later came on and crossed for the winner! Either way, I personally think that he could improve that side of his game. Defensively I think he has come on a lot though and the 5 at the back suits him. You're right, he has, but he is pretty inconsistent (understandable given his age). I'd like to see both full backs get further forward and try to beat their man a bit more often too, which is something we do well when we have the likes of Tadic playing. I'm not complaining as recent form has been great, but there's always room for improvement.
  10. I'd disagree, and Cedric's crossing is pretty poor really. I don't think he's a bad player but I think we need better delivery from him, and judging by some of Koeman's comments, I think he agrees. (Watch him whip in a couple of great crosses tonight now!) I agree that Targett is the weaker of the two though.
  11. I think I agree with this. If we had wing backs with more attacking ability (e.g we had Clyne and Bertrand was playing LWB) we could arguably do without the creativity of players like Tadic in front. However, as good as the 5-3-2 has been, I feel we have been missing some of our attacking flair, and it's surely against the bottom half teams that we should be playing a more attacking formation.
  12. If we do play 5 at the back, I wouldn't be suprrised to see Davis/ JWP play RWB. Cedric's crossing is pretty poor and that's a major part of playing that position when we are attacking.
  13. Just said the same. JWP probably the only replacement option that won't weaken us defensively.
  14. They were going to build a Skacel Court but the paper work hasn't been signed off yet.
  15. One thing's for sure- our bench is going to look mighty impressive, attacking wise at least. Mane, Davis, Tadic, Long, Pelle, Austin all fighting for 3 spots. Plus one of Clasie, Romeu and JWP will start on the bench.
  16. If everyone's fit, I'd go: -------------------Forster----------------- Cedric---VVD---Fonte---Bertrand---Targett ----------------Romeu---Clasie------------ ----------------------Davis----------------- ----------------Austin----Long------------
  17. Merson talking about Mertesacker being suspended- I thought that he was back for this one?
  18. At least he'd take responsibility and apologise.
  19. You can keep playin afterwards! I'm not sure that too many of the players will be in the final!! Lambert and Lallana the only possibles as far as I can tell.
  20. Davis back in. Keep it tight for 60/70 minutes and then we have both Tadic and Austin -our 2 recent super subs- to bring on.
  21. Did he not play pretty well in our last game?
  22. 'There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing by the Saints but FC Twente have ordered probes into a number of deals, including the one for the midfielder' Nothing to see here!
  23. In terms of a player with a signature move they do every time, who can forget the Papa Waigo head chop and the Tadanari Lee bow and arrow?!
  24. Where does this belief come from? Is it David Sullivan? Austin himself pretty strongly dismissed that he has any reoccurring injury issues: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/aug/20/charlie-austin-david-sullivan-west-ham-qpr
  25. Ronald Koeman's having a party, bring your Mane, bring your Charlie!
