Presumably a few have taken the mick out of Ralph for his lack of soccer experience, I guess that was judgement day! As all ended injury-free it looked like a really good laugh and ticked the correct boxes, even if one or two got chilly.

Well done boys, consolation prizes for not quite ripping up League Two. Awford has set a new record, he went into the red zone on the HeroVillainometer a month ago and has popped straight back. He can now complete the trick by going on a run of four defeats. Go for it mush, ya legend.

That could be a bumpy ride ahead for QPR, I believe they were totally solvent and comfortably midtable when Harry left, not that he knew anything about the money side of things, or how his phone works. A good spot that, and a little nostalgic. It reminds me of when pompey made stuff up. Luckily those days are long gone and we are now in an age of transparency so you don't get unusual little matey loans in the Trust accounts or donations described as shares.

Holmes and the case of the revenge of the former hero of Fatpipes Lodge.... That can't be right, wasn't he the bloke who was told by Awford that he wasn't good enough for League Two? A lucky rebound I guess.
-
if you're going to do your own jokes my work here is done...or is that the cunning plan? We need the Ho back, his approach was well entertaining!
-
because the play-off dates clash with the planting of the late potato crop on Fatpipes Farm?

what have I become....well done John Terry you beauty!

Let's just remember the pre-season targets.... Liverpool were aiming to win the league. Spurs were aiming for Champions' League spot. We wanted to improve on last season, despite the player exodus. I suspect the top two might struggle to achieve their aims, whereas we are just about on track.

The best way to avoid more glamorous clubs raiding our squad is to buy rubbish and develop no one through the academy. Every club has a limit - United couldn't hold onto Ronaldo, ditto Liverpool with Suarez. And even if we qualified for the Champions' League there would always be an offer from a club who might actually win it. Tis the way, but we are in a pretty good place, and able to offer quality players time on a pitch - if that motivates them more than shiny wheel trims and prison-style neck tats. If Lovren is worth £20M we should be able to get £75M for Clyne.

The thing that still astounds me is that senior people just let it go, they chose ratings or donations over doing the right thing. While hospitals and the BBC are big organisations, it was individuals in powerful positions who decided to protect a child rapist. How could you do that and sleep at night? What did you do at work today? Oh, just the usual, a bit of admin, had a few meetings, oh and I silenced a 12-year-old cancer victim who was raped in her hospital bed while under my care - but on the plus side, we should get the proceeds from a fun run!

While we are struggling a bit and recent defeats have been our own fault....I thought Friend was appalling on the day, but watching it back... By the standards of other penalties given over the weekend it is quite clear that we should have had two, and they could have been down to nine men. And while it was a difficult call for the handball outside the box, the keeper should have gone too. Truly shocking refereeing, even by the standards of the division's worst official, well done to Koeman for not exploding. So yes, we cannot score at the moment but I struggle to think of an occasion when a referee's poor performance has had such a dramatic effect on the result of a game. Swings and roundabouts? - You show me a game from the last 100 years when we have benefited from the amount of consistent 'luck' that Liverpool were given yesterday. That was one appalling performance too many, no player would survive that level of ineptitude, surely Friend is finished as an official?

I think the most admirable thing about their whole season is that the fans have never given up on the team or the manager, they have stood shoulder-to-shoulder throughout all of the tough times, never booed, never been negative, and have been an inspiration to sports fans everywhere. More passion than a little furry fruit.

I'm not that shallow Mack! Great win today, though it's fair to say that a victory over Cambridge is only impressive if it's on the Thames - just a pity that the play-offs are still 12 points away!
-
They really should have used some of these goals in those 0-0 draws! Awford is a super hero!* *He has replaced Micah who has been downgraded from investigative genius to dirty scummah.

I suspect that most fans are mature and balanced enough to recognise what a fantastic time we shared with Rickie and to give him a deserved reception. The road of 'he's no longer in a Saints shirt so he's dead to me' is the thing of slack-jawed simpletons and as pointed out earlier, leads to the removal of the statue, renaming of all the suites only after current players, and dismissing the contributions of anyone from Bobby Stokes to Matt Le Tissier with disdain. Do you want tea and biscuits in the Shane Long Suite, formerly the Luke Shaw Bar?...If you don't care too much for history there may be a little Italian out there you can chum up with, he must have time on his hands. So I'm looking forward to seeing Rickie, thanking him for his fantastic work getting us to where we are, recalling all the great times we shared, and they were great times! - and I'd also like to see him slip on his ar$e and miss an open goal. As for the other two, personally it's a sliding scale of disdain - with Lovren on the wrong end of it.

ONE DEBT BEYOND! Yesterday's Men...Embarrassment...
-
I was being generous, he cannot string four words together - which even by Portsea standards is barely half a paragraph. I'm not sure that picking up dogs muck and carrying cones about can be a full time occupation but I haven't heard him on Solent recently.
-
The last time Kelly spoke he talked of their academy as being the envy of all the top clubs. Indeed, the conveyor belt of football talent coming out of Portsea and wiping the dog **** and broken glass off their boots before going on to international recognition has been pretty constant since they released Mick Mills. Kelly is obviously quite unwell and in need of new medication.

It's StorrieTime! To save Steve G getting sued I'll keep it simple. The banks took the money because there was nowhere near enough income or value in the business to pay the debts - the club was in so deep it was going down faster than Fifi at Horton Heath. As for that fantasy set of accounts they presented to the High Court... The joke was on the rest of football as the judge accepted all of that nonesense about them addressing the debts and set them on their way to their next administration. Nice try at a history rewrite though.

Credit where credit is due, I'm staggered that they've managed to go three years without an insolvency event. That's about six weeks in real terms.
-
They do love their history, even the pitch is from 1965. Though it should flatten out a bit once they get the potatoes in.
-
The Trust held a shareholding of 48.6 per cent of the club as of June 30. That was before a property developer chipped in another £50K to cover the fact that the training ground fundraiser had failed. Did he do that out of love, or for another little chunk of control? Fan owned?

Lord T is quite dedicated, he'll be back from the meeting soon....

The ref was a joke, overturning one of his correct decisions is even funnier. Has Carlton Cole had his yellow upgraded to a red? #effingclowns
