  1. If there was a XXX DVD of Saints in action, I'm pretty sure I would splash out on that.
  2. send Brendan Rodgers a tape of his goal against Man City, he should offer us about £30m + Sturridge.
  3. I'm led to believe that we got the stadium for free by not paying our CVA. The former SS tank commander refused to pay anyone off so the council had to give us the stadium, which we now fill with free tickets issued to asylum seekers and illegal immigrants, many of whom leave at half time or boo their own team. These are all standard repeated 'facts' on Portsea. You need to understand the illness.
  4. The deluded simpleton few who argue about history, make up stuff about Saints and think that we are jealous are the main reason this thread continues, they fuel it with their madness. There are six simple words that they will refuse to hear, but this little sentence sum up where we all are in 2015..... They are no longer our rivals.
  5. Call me old school but seeing pix of Clyne hanging out in London night clubs with Arsenal and Aston Villa players, some displaying their homemade tats plus lack of taste and professionalism, just made me think one thing - sell him. As for Villa, if my team had just scraped league safety and been destroyed in a cup final, would I want to see them out partying with the winners?....
  6. If we forget the ridiculous amounts we managed to get last summer I would say that £13/14m is pretty decent for Clyne. But let's not give him away. If Liverpool really want him they will go to £15m surely? Either way they can stick their £10m bid right up their Mersey Tunnel.
  7. He'll be used to not getting paid from his time at Rangers.
  8. Yes, they took over the franchise of a disgraced club, just to buy Southern League success, in a lovely pink shirt, and managed to go 13 years before being wound up. The main financial debacles were 1911, mid-70s, 98 and the two recent ones. A glorious history. I look forward to Admin VI.
  9. Have you just quoted an entire chapter?....
  10. FIFA corrupt? I think there must be some mistake, no doubt there is a simple explanation for everything - including how Qatar got the world cup.
  11. I think they might have been too quick on Cook's appointment, had they waited a few weeks they could have had Ancelotti. He must be kicking himself too.
  12. I still haven't forgiven them for their small part in our relegation. Come back from 2-0 down now you ba$tards! #longmemory
  13. A great servant, he's been on our bus for the whole journey! I think he's also shown some pretty decent form. Let's not forget that keepers from De Gea downwards have been chucking them in all season - Kelvin has made some astonishing saves since Forster's injury and certainly hasn't dropped a clanger, nor tried to dribble his way through the Arsenal forward line.
  14. There were some occasions when we got lucky but in no way was it a season of swings and roundabouts - forget the tired cliches, they don't even out. And if someone disagrees, could they highlight the one moment where we benefited from a generous decision that gave us a six point advantage over a rival? That would make up for Kevin Friend's appalling season-altering performance at SMS. But in defence of inadequate refs everywhere, no wonder they struggle, Chris Foy is retiring at 52. How on earth is he expected to keep up with athletes at that age?
  15. At least the Premier League has learned something this season - with big games and even bigger consequences, Kevin Friend isn't refereeing today.
  16. The perfect breakfast? I'll stick with cereal thanks.
  17. I don't see why they should have paid any debt - Man United and Chelsea owe people money but you don't see them getting picked on by the football authorities. Fair play to pompey for making a stand and only paying a pittance - it's a victory for the underdog! And we should know because our administration was exactly the same as theirs, and we'll be back in it soon because I've heard that the Liebherr family wants to sell up asap because the fans boo their own players and the council owns the stadium. Etc.
  18. they don't need him, he's not all that, better off with one of the academy kids. #villain
  19. A vital part of our journey was Nige taking us straight through the Championship without the p!ssabout of play-offs etc. Hopefully he'll find a job that suits him sometime soon.
  20. Am I missing something? Where is the achievement in parking near a ground and attaching a flag to a ladder? Neil Armstrong had a decent reason to look smug when he planted a flag, ditto the Russians when they entered Berlin, but a roofing company on a public highway? I'd be mildly impressed if a fan took a picture in another club's boardroom or even on their pitch, but in the street? And P.A.R. Roofing - you've just reduced your potential customer base by approx a third - so good luck when you tender for the next Staplewood contract! #tinpot
  21. It's always surprised me how the few know very little about what is happening within their own club, the debts, the securities, the conditions of administration, the details of the penalties etc - but they know everything that happens in the Saints' boardroom. Do you think there's a mole?
  22. The credit supplier for the trust donations has gone into administration? It's contagious.
  23. A big clear out is the most sensible thing they've done in ages. Our only hope now is that their recruitment policy will be as bonkers as usual - and tied in to the annual free holiday that mysteriously doesn't cost anyone anything.
  24. Wave byebye to Waddock - another payoff to add to the bill.
  25. The best guy Liverpool have had in their back four this season is Kevin Friend. Sadly I think he will make the difference this season and keep Liverpool, and possibly Spurs above us.
