  1. We wont replace him IMO, the only one close what be the belgian tielmens or however you spell it at Anderlecht. But we wont get him. We could only hope he wont go, but short of a miraculous end to the season and ending up in CL places (doable) then I think he is off. Still, of course we miss him, but we are still keeping possession and creating good chances as well as defending ok. So Id argue that HE isnt the main issue. Its more likely to be the swapping around of the side (davis playing deeper etc, toby in midfield) a d the fact that Pellè just isnt clinical enough as well as the other attacking players.
  2. And what level do we need him to be at compared at what we have ? He has made one stupid mistake, the Villa one, and it could have been a damn sight worse. Blaming him for the backpass is moronic, and I couldnt care less what professionals on the soccer saturday panel commented. He was stiched up by fonte, I wouldnt of expected him to cone flying put and realistically if he did and got it wrong you would no doubt be the first to comment. He came out, faced up and looked big, RVP did a good job squeezing it in. The cross I think he could've done better but ultimately it was a good cross and good movement that did it. He isnt the finished article, and at 10m he was probably overpriced but he isnt as bad as the boo boys like yourself make out.
  3. If anything I wish Toby had done more really, if he had time to half spin around to get his strong foot in the way he had time to effectively block it
  4. Quite simply whatever Burnley want, whats the cost of relegation for them ? As that 6 months could effectively help stave that off
  5. Ive said for a while we have an over reliance on Pelle. Good player but out of form and snatching at shots, a sign he is low on confidence. Its not quite clicking right now but we arent a million miles away, stats wise still dominating games. Need a win to get our heads up. Thankfully january is close and we have players returning from injury. A top 4 finish was always highly unlikely.
  6. Said it all in 3 words CB Scary they let him loose at the keyboard
  7. Not working ?
  8. We might have to find somewhere with no itv reception
  9. Ill give em a gander, tonights choice is saints we depression fuelled ranting or X factor Its a genuine toughie
  10. Jesus christ we have some utter planks as fans
  11. Not far off the money duck, I wrote the movement bit about Pellè after the villa game. Why a bloke so far in a defenders pocket just kept doing as he was doing is beyond me, if it were me ? Id of dragged em out wide, deep and made them make a decision. I didnt understate what MoPo did, he was brilliant. At the time he got slagged off for having no plan B. I think people now realise it wasnt him, it was a lack of options.
  12. Indeed.. Potentially we have Pelle, long, Rodriguez, tadic, mane, davis and JWP
  13. Lol So the good ones were the current managers players a d the bad ones were his and not the managers..... Righto
  14. Utter crap
  15. From playing today Before I read much or post can soneone please pre warn me if we are in full saintsweb meltdown ? Ta
  16. Goes back to my main gripe, people telling other people what to watch and not to watch. If I dont like something, I wont watch it, not call for a ban. Isnt this all to protect the underage viewers ? Why dont they focus on reducing there access ?
  17. Complete woooooosh for me
  18. Very much so, but thats been our issue for years. I blamed FF for the second at first, but having another look after getting over the result I think its a tad harsh. Thats what Utd get with top level options, Falcao, Rooney, RVP none need many chances
  19. Just watched the goal again when it was repeated on soccer AM, if Im honest I might be being harsh on him for the second aswell. The cross was excellent and was way out of the 6 yard box for ages. If you watch it and honestly want your keeper that far out of goal then fair enough
  20. What ? So a head of recruitment that moves from one prem club to another isnt likely to have similar players in mind ? If that isnt sanity it'll be good if you could explain
  21. I wasnt saying his involvement has any 'edge' FWIW, its just another completely unimaginative article. Mitchell would have spent the past 12 months looking at certain targets, some of which will be good enough for spurs, he has just got to white hart lane and so probably hasnt got time to look at new targets straight away, and so will utilise those he already knows. Those writing him off as just another bloke is a little laughable, he has a great name for himself in football circles and headed up much of what has been built from a recruitment point of view. Will he be a miss ? Yes I think he will, will we be ok ? Yes we will be absolutely fine.
  22. What are you on about ?
  23. Head of recruitment in looking at the sane targets as his previous club shocker And to whitewash what he has done is just fickle fan crap tbh. He is highly thought of for a reason
  24. It'll only be 10 a season, so you may get 1 a season if you are lucky. I personally think its an interesting idea
