  1. Not just us he has lacked composure with then...
  2. This, young Harry Reed has undone much of the damage that would have resulted in losing Cork IMO Allow him to become a regular somewhere else as it wont happen with us
  3. I think he is fully aware of it adrian, I cant say I know what state of the FFP is or whether or not signing a proven goalscorer would impact the signing of Toby or Ryan but Im afraid believing that Jay, Elia or Manè could fill in a Pellè shaped hole is a little short sighted IMO
  4. It is indeed, there isnt a lot in it but for me I dont see that Lukaku has moved on much from his West Brom days. Decent player but needs to affect games more, far far too inconsistant for me. Ive been banging the Benteke drum for ages now, in a decent team he will be a machine
  5. I would argue Benteke is better player than Lukaku never mind Pellè, obviously quicker than Pellè too, hard to judge hold up play and ariel prowess but surely he isnt much difference there As for coverting chances Ive seen enough to think he is better than Pellè who struggles there imo. It doesnt help that Benteke plays in such a poor team, given half the chances Pellè has had this season Id say he would've converted a lot more
  6. If we can get an improvement on Pellè than that would be the obvious choice, someone like Benteke. Yes he will be expensive but a player at that level would all but complete our team imo We need to bring in someone of some description though as we will be very lucky to complete the season without the loss of Pellè who is integral to the way we play and unfortunately has no obvious back up of any quality
  7. If he wasnt a saints fan there wouldnt be this clamour for him. He isnt a natural replacement to Pellè, he could potentially play wide but we have Jay Rod, Ellia, manè and Tadic. Besides, Burnley would want a reasonably high fee for him considering the pressure of them avoiding relegation. Theres better out there that would actually be a reasonable back up to Pellè and so would fit the way we play
  8. Anyone that wants to vote greens needs only to talk to anybody living in Brighton. Definate bonkers Im not entirely sure the Tories have anything to worry about, Lib Dems have shown themselves to be an even more non-vote then they were previously. The greens ? Well, we all know about them. Ukip show themselves to be thin on the ground politically and even more absent minded when you spend any amount of time listening to them. Labour is their only real competitor really, which is a scary thought as anybody that employs Diane Abbot or even worse is fronted by Milliband is on a hiding to nothing. As a party that is suppose to be, for the people, they are so far away it isnt true.
  9. He was in Cafè parfait in town friday
  10. Brilliant article and surely shows the importance of Reed. Funny how those that commented on the progress made by the club under Reeds leadership were shouted down. That the bloke was a failure etc etc and that nothing could ever function unless under the complete autonomy of the manager. Like Steve, and Neville have said, its obvious this is the future. You only have to look at the constant upheaval of clubs such as QPR that it is not a sustainable model to allow managers full power to change. I think the problem with us as a country adopting more DOF is that many managers, or even some DOF out there dont understand the role.
  11. What a time to be alive !!
  12. Didnt I hear that Townsend was off aswell ?
  13. There is a god
  14. Nothing will change all the time the major parties just look to score points off of each other and they are brave enough to discuss the real issues such as NHS, Imigration etc without fear of reprisals from the other parties. These are the people with the power to change, instead they choose to have bun fights
  15. We NEED clyne, cork would be a plus but Id be more annoyed at losing him on a free rather than losing him as a player
  16. Excellent article, for me Prowseys ability has been evident for a long time. We have been told that Reed is the biggest thing to come from the academy in recent times but I firmly believe that young James has the biggest ability. Though as a Saints fan its incredible to see two young talents that could easily compliment each other for a good few years. Add to this the growing influence of the young Mr Sims and Seager in the under 21s and its good to see the clubs ambition to have 50% homegrown talent has legs. Prowse is the natural successor to Davis IMO, and with some defensive minded improvements in his game could possibly see him move Davis from his position sooner rather than later, which, considering Davis' obvious value to this team will be no mean feat
  17. He has a contract, so its either pay it up or convince someone to part with some cash
  18. **** knows what will happen now, how many years has he got left ? Surely nobody will take him without us paying the majority of his wages
  19. Didnt think it was unlimited, thought it was four ?
  20. Oh, and Osvaldos loan being cancelled, great news
  21. Another thing for certain is that nobody in they're right mind would put Adkins soley in charge of a transfer budget. It was the beginning of the end for the bloke was the Ramirez saga, not like its not happened before though. Anyone who says it was soley one person or another is just plain wrong Im afraid, though the Ramirez transfer was nowhere as bad as Osvaldo. Ok, Ranirez never really worked out, that happens, kid clearly has talent. But Osvaldo was a massive failure, never looked like he gave a **** and could have really caused damage to morale.
  22. There was yes, it is pretty stupid to think it was all down to just one man, in the same way as its not all down to just RoKo now
  23. He needs to be more composed infront of goal, he doesnt convert enough chances. We need a new striker whether he is converting or not, as without him or style of play is knackered
  24. His positioning isnt excellent and he isnt that tall but yes he has the potential to be very good. How much of a career he'll have for England will depend much on the form on Walker though who, when his head is sorted, is an equally good attacking wing back
