  1. Normally I rate your posts but A. If you are classing me as one of those supporters with little or no regard/patience or loyalty then you are being very wrong and B. If your telling me how to support my club you're being very pretencious.
  2. Its about systems aswell. Sturridge didnt suit Chelsea but has come up wity the goods playing in a top 2 and alongside Suarez. Not going to say we couldnt squeeze more out of lambert if we played a game that suited him as I honestly believe we would. The problem is he just doesnt fit or suit MoPo's tactics, and thats the main problem. (Just read your next post) - Im not slagging Rickie off by the way, not intentionally putting him down but if I cant pass critique on a member of the team without it being taken as a personal insult then what chance do we have discussing anything ? He has been great for us, unfortunately its not worked for him basically since MoPo, I blame the system more then Lambert, his legs havent gone as he was never a really able runner and under Adkins he was still giving top level CBs the run around. But you are right, I dont really know the answer except to try and buy some obvious and established quality, Id argue that a bid for Bony or even Welbeck (yes him) would be a decent shout.
  3. That is the problem, we have nobody, unless SG suddenly explodes onto the scene, though Id struggle to put faith in a 17/18 yr old (though I did say that about Shaw). Lambert had little assistance against Sunderland but even the bits he did try he couldnt achieve with any quality, though as I said Im not going to take much from the FA cup game as everyone including Lallana were substandard.
  4. He was very 2nd half against Fulham, poor 1st half though, coincidentally moving from striker to AM. Also worth noting that Fulham is the worst team I have seen this year and were terrible second half. Also saying I should show him respect is just utter kak, so is he free from criticism then ? Where have I denyed him his (deserved) hero status ? Merely pointing out since MoPo has been here he hasnt been the same force. As per assists and goals, of course they mean something against whoever, but it does show that he struggles against the better teams and arguably in those ganes if we had someone capable playing the lone role for us then we would be performing even better, which lets face it, is why we (wrongly) spunked 15m on Ossie.
  5. It might be actually, I remember reading somewhere that he was movingbafter the season and Barca rings a bell now. Isnt Valdes moving on after this season too ?
  6. The last two certainly arent but I think Ter Stegan has plumped for Dortmund ? Papadopoluos is decent enough but again out of our league and Pato wont come back to europe anytime soon.
  7. Whilst that would be incredible, I fear you have confused this with FM. Yue likelyhood is we would get none of those. Pato went to Brazil to sort his head out aswell, good player but not sure he will come back to Europe the same. We definately need a GK, without a doubt, the two back ups are so far below PL quality its laughable. Dump Jos and get another decent CB in to put pressure on Fontes starting place. I think Yoshi has potential to be a decent CB but also Fontes not getting any younger (top season though). Striker, we are crying out for a striker that has the ability to play up top in this league, effectively this means you'll have Lambert back up for both up top and the attacking midfield positions. Id like to say two but it will stiffle SG's progression. Any more than that and we would be laughing but I have a feeling many of us will be cery very dissapointed. I just dont buy that KL came in as she was unhappy that NC was not thought highly by the fans. This is a women brought up by a successful business family. In my honest opinion we will either be sold. Either way I cant see the levels of ambition that we held begore hand. Time will tell I suppose
  8. Yup when he moved back into the midfield he looked good against the worst opposition this year. Not a singke assist and only 1 goal against any of the top 10 teams is telling.
  9. Not slagging the man off, nor his workrate He just isnt as effective, or certainly hasnt been under MoPos stewardship. For me an issue with the system
  10. It was hardly Lamberts first poor performance this season TBH
  11. Yup Whilst I agree with the sentiments and certainly liebherr money/Cortese ambition was easily the best outcome (well, realistically) we would never have gone under
  12. Horses and courses. Wanyama pre injury suited our set up better I think
  13. And would the outcry have been lessened should we have lost to Hull ? How would it have been if we had the lost to Sunderland with a stronger team ? Boruc never made the bench (injured?) and Fonte had a badly gashed leg, so thats those two reserve choices accounted for. That leaves only Guly, who contributed as much as Lallana and Lambert TBH. Mountain and molehill springs to mind
  14. So you would change places with sunderland ? Fight relegation with the chance to get knocked out by a top side despite playing a full strength side ? So you dont think being top before Xmas and competing with the top sides, having the media fawning over our play and players isnt exciting ? Starting 3 reserves in the game against a bottom 3 side that made 9 changes is a disgrace ? It is a bit over the top really isnt it ?
  15. He most certainly was pre injury yes, Lambert played regardless of agenda, though admittedly not very well
  16. This I agree with, but I also agree that we could have fielded a weaker side against hull. But then innevitably the loss at hull would've caused similar levels of hysteria on here. Looking back now, the dissapointment has subsided and Im looking at the game without the emotion now. That team had the ability to win really. The defence wasnt massively bothered until we were chasing the game. The goal was a mistake but also needed a top strike to beat us. Realistically the midfield was v poor as were the attacking players, Lallana being the best of that bunch but still not up to his usual standards. And when you look at it, all of those with the exception of Guly are or have been 1st team starters on many occasions this year. So there you go.. As you say and I have said before our backup players arent good enough, lambert probably isnt good enough. So lets see what happens in the Summer as it will tell us all what we need to know Re ambition.
  17. Exactly this, as I said before on a previous thread. Arguably the club has never been as competetive as an entity as it was under NC, people may find that hard to swallow, but its true. First and foremost Im a football fan, I pay my money to watch a competetive team with interesting players, and everything else come secondary to that. Ask any football fan and I reckon that over 80% will say the same. So for me, not having Benali back, free parking and a personal letter stuck to my ST seat is bad, but a devolution of ability from a playing point of view is far more dissapointing. Why ? Because Im a football fan that supports a football club
  18. So you would rather we were fighting for relegation then ? That competing to the levels that we are is not exciting ? Was our exit from the club really a disgrace ? Really ? Its all a bit over the top really isnt it
  19. They really are the biggest selection of f*cktards. Claiming to be part of footballings biggest, and for what reason ? They really are an ugly club right now in every sense of the word. As per that thread love where one is comparing our crowds by cherry picking a season of our administration and lowest ebb.
  20. Not entirely sure how you managed missed the point ? But the fact you did with such unerving precision leads me to wonder whether your able to put a cross in a box yourself ?
  21. It was still, for me, a strong team that played poorly. Our real reservists are not good enough and those that played didnt perform well enough.
  22. The players are as much at fault as the manager IMHO. I still cant swallow the whole money issue of finishing one or two places higher, Im dissapointed yes but realistically the team should've been strong enough. If we are serious of our ambitions we need to strengthen in depth, I do hope KL dips into her pockets in the summer and IMO should have done so in Jan. Part of me wonders if we would have gone out of the FA Cup so meekley under NC.
  23. I have not personally attacked him from a personal standpoint, from a work standpoint or even attacked his books. I merely have responded to the poster and his posting history. It seems to me it doesnt matter who is in charge of the club after a small amount of time they will have done something of some sort to upset him and jump up on his horse again. It was only a matter of weeks ago he was fanfairing about what a wonderful chsirwoman we now have that not only acted to the will of the fans and also restocked the books (unlike that nasty Mr C) Now KL has fallen into his sights aswell. So Im sorry, but if you continue to react the way that FF constantly does, and continue to post with agenda filled drivvel then you get what you get. Agreed that care has to be taken not to get too personal but Ive not seen an awefull lot wrong with the replies so far.
  24. I think thats the point bud We either change the system or the personel.
  25. Im ****ed off at the whole thing really. Poch could have rested players at Hull and played a stronger team in the cup. Also, the players that played should have had enough about them to beat a very changed Sunderland, there performance was so far below their standards, so Im pretty annoyed with them too.
