He always had real talent, definate outside chance for Brazil As per Sunderland vs Newcastle, Poyets certainly got them more organised (and the little bit of south american influence). But they arent as good as 3 goals against Newcastle, they are ok, better than relegation. Newcastle, big blip at the moment. As good as Cabaye was (up there in top 3 cm's in prem for me) surely he wasnt that influential, certainly from an attacking sense but he wasnt always that defensive minded.

This, its only really been this season that he has been bang in form. Also I think AT gets the plaudits as he is direct and does make things happen, certainly isnt as good as his hype but his couple of good games against poor opposition for England have raised his profile

You really are an arrogant ****, and I have both played and coached at decent levels, in fact I have previously done some coaching at a now PL club. In fact the reason I dont have a ST this year is because Im back playing after injury. Im not saying Rickie is a poor lone striker, Im saying he tends not to fit in the system that Poch plays, dont get me wrong I hear he played exceptionally well second half, but Im not going to comment either way until Ive seen the game other then I hope that he is getting to his best, he has changed his game to fit our system or MoPo has tweaked us to fit Rick. TBF lambert consistantly not worked all season playing up top, its pretty obvious Ossie clearly didnt want to be here but we should have got a replacement

This really, its laughable the defence he gets when you dare to question him, no doubting what he has achieved and what he has done for us but realistically he doesnt fit for us upfront. We need someone willing to close down from the front, to be able to turn and run if required making movements in and around the oppo back four. Rickie doesnt really offer that. Yes he is a top target man but once he brings players in we then lose him as that goalscorer we need. Again the chances are he can do a job in one of the attacking three positions but not as our lone striker option. We needed a replacement to ossie and didnt get it

We needed a CB and we tried to get one in, noone knew he just couldnt hack it out of Norway. I really dont know if it means anything, I assume we will have to wait and see. FWIW we were working on deals apparantly so dont really no what happened. As for the nothingness, we can still drop down the table and could still grab a european place, plus the FA Cup so the seasons not over.
