  1. Been too much of a rot for a long time at every level, the influx of foreigners to the prem, although making it a very much more exciting place has made life difficult for the average youngster coming through the ranks. A lack of proper directive or decent technical guidance from coaches, especially at youth levels is now finally getting the attention it needs but had been neglected for too long. Also there is the problem of obesity and kids these days shunning exercise etc Its gonna take a while
  2. QPR I think
  3. Agree entirely The loan system should be for players that are under a certain age and should not be able to be loaned to teams in the same league IMHO
  4. Barry is Dune, that much is pretty obvious, I dont remember bournemouth Saint TBH
  5. I have said all along that Everton will struggle under Martinez, mccarthy for Felaini isnt the best move and like you say he has essentially bought players from the team that he relegated. Lukaku is a strong signing though, it certainly shows his value to a team when you look at WBA this year. Everton have always been solid but never prolific and RMs philosophy has always been to try and outscore the opposition, they are in trouble IMHO
  6. Did he ? I know he is a good player but he certainly didnt look worth 30m on his brief cameo against Arsenal
  7. I said should be Hypo, the talent they have they certainly should be. But agreed, we have not seen it yet, I fear the dropping of a certain cult hero would help
  8. We play like we played against Norwich, like Hypo said we are slow and compact. I wouldnt say predictable as such and with the players we have we still should be good enough IMO but our attack certainly loses a dimension. My real concern is the lack of goals for the last 6 months or so(ish)
  9. True, as much as I work in utilities I have never been an expert on metering if Im honest
  10. The meter doesnt reset though, if for instance you moved house you would take the final reading bla bla etc If that meters been installed since 86 then Id say its knackered
  11. Its a bit low, and FWIW gas will cost you less than electricity in the long run so if you can use gas heating etc
  12. Although I picked Yoshida, right now its more than harsh to drop Fonte who has done nothing much wrong at all (except nearly give a pen away) So I agree with this
  13. Boruc Clyne Yoshida Lovren Shaw Morgan Wanyama Lallana Ramirez Rodriguez Osvaldo
  14. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?46438-The-4-2-3-1-system-IDIOTS-guide-(idiots-please-read-this)#.UiX3NWS9Kc0 I posted a lot on it here but there was another thread that linked an article, basically your right about the full backs
  15. That is where the width comes from, did you not see the other thread on this ? (That wasnt a dig)
  16. Exactly, this place is getting tiresome
  17. TBF if I was offered Lukaku or Osvaldo Id have snapped Chelsea's hand off
  18. The only offers that were there were lower championship sides and perhaps Celtic had a slight sniff but nothing concrete, that was it.
  19. I would give it a B I think, the majority of our windows since ML bought us have addressed the situation we are in pretty well, every year we achieved what we set out to do and I have no doubt this year will be any different. For a start we managed to keep hold of everyone we required, we have tied up the quality youth that we have coming through aswell which is a real bonus. Also the emergence of Chambers took the pressure off of Shaw indirectly as it allows Clyne to play in his position if he has to. JWP was another gem, though I rated him last year he appears to have improved again which is very very pleasing to see. I knew if we were to progress this year that Lambert, Cork and Hoovield would have to be the casualties and we have signed quality replacements in this area which bolster the squad and fit in with MoPos tactics accordingly. Departures I am happy with, clearing the deadwood, it was obvious Punch wouldnt get much of a look in this year with our array of forward talent, I have my doubts about him at this level consistantly anyway. Would have been nice to clear Sharp off the books as well but you camt have it all. All in all cery pleased, hard to see how anyone wouldnt be chuffed with what we have done unless they are very greedy or acting on agenda TBH. I know for a fact we looked at another CB or wide man to top things off but the deals were not there so it was a slight shame but I am fully confident what we have can achieve what we want, the same as we have EVERY year. Overall - B
  20. I find it quite strange that 3 prem clubs wanted him yet the only other offers came in the form of lower league championship sides......
  21. Its professional football, he is paid very well and besides when he joined us he never really wanted to move south and was using us as a stepping stone
  22. People have popped on and given their opinions, you have basically replied to anyone saying we have had a good window with the same tired old crap, thankfully people are starting to realise it now. Dont take this post as the fact that Im engaging your trolling BTW as I wont be getting in an arguement with you Besides, cant handle what ? If anyone of us struggles to handle anything its you and a bit of optimism
  23. How have we stopped him persueing his premier league dream exactly ? Or have you been sucked in by Glasgows bullcrapping that we blocked prem moves ? The only clubs that have come in for him are bottom of the championship and we have said we want his wages paid in any loan, and I fully expect he expects his wages matched from any permanant deal. Either way, Im not massively bothered by Billy ****ing sharp
  24. Alpine, do you really have to try to derail every thread ?
