Not a small bloke there either Perhaps like Lambert he needs someone to reign him in, like Lambert needs people reminding him that keeping an athletic build takes work. Though not quite to the level Boruc was when he arrived Rickie didnt look like he missed many pies over the summer.

Tbf the last few incarnations of Dune showed that he was susceptable to a day or so of rediculous rantings, Im sure when the drink wears off or the meds kick in he will be ok. Fair play to him though, he kept up the sharad for longer than his last entities, but it was always going to cone out eventually wasnt it ?

Meh, my avatar has been there ages, cant be arsed to change it, pick me one. Transfers were pretty good for me, dissapointing we didnt get a keeper or a new reserve CB. Cortese and Adkins are part of the transfer commitee, neither have sole responsibility to sign players, this is something I agree with is needed at all teams. How can you say we have not played with passion ?

Yoshida is growing into a great little CB for me, his reading of the game is great and works V well with Fonte. Rodriguez shows me flashes he will be a good player, he needs game time. Mayuka ? Has a decent name for himself as up and coming player, looks lively, Ill reserve judgement but yeah concede its a little dissapointing. Then you have Clyne who is fantastic and Ramirez who is or will be V soon easily our best player and arguably too good for us. Ive read a few of your recent posts Bazza, 11.30 is a bit early to be on the sauce Dune.

If that chelsea team wants to turn it on then they will destroy teams, but the fact that they are not top of the league shows their problem, they are very inconsistant. It took them time to get into their stride but then when they get in the ascendancy you are knackered. The array of talent there is phenominal and Ba has taken them up another notch too. We met them on a good day, QPR on a bad day. Lucky for 'arry nothing chelsea really threw at them worked, it was almost the opposite against us come the second half. Would we have stood a better chance with our better players ? Of course, but in reality Chelsea is the best team in the league on paper IMO

Pretty much my thoughts, very well summed up, it wont get you anywhere though, trying to reason with this joker is like trying to counsel Alpine. Id accept the arguement that all three arent good enough, but putting Davis back in goal ? Really ? I blamed him for the majority of the goals at the start of the season, and reckon with Boruc or Gazza we would have atleast stolen a draw somewhere.

Hopefully we will be back in for Dawson, but not mess around so much this time.

Yeah well Im gonna start adding some kettlebell work into my normal gym routine, twice a week, hopefully Ill get a bit of tone

The January 2013 HCDAJFU thread...

There is nothing available at a reasonable price that will get us over the slump, and lets face it even if we brought in Friedel a single dodgy parry etc would mean the ***ts in the Northam would be on his back straight away. Boruc didnt even get a whole game for his debut before being ridiculed. Fwiw I think he currently looks our best option, not great no but certainly better than a poor Davis and an inexperienced Gazza. Added to this is what someone said the other day on here, I forget who, but basically there is now a culture of fear, a mistake could result in being dropped and that gets in players heads. -
A bloke who refused to work as it was 8am starts

Whilst I agree, prepare for the PC brigade to tell us why we should pay so much to those that contribute so little Poor little darlings -
I managed to drop 2 stone over the summer in order to get myself into shape for the football season, aswell as add a bit of tone and get myself back to a level of fitness that Ive not really been in for the last few years. I have had two ACL tears in the last 8 years, coupled with the recovery times and poor NHS diagnosis I had been unable to properly train for ages. I got over the last one, only to make my well deserved comeback.... And tear my hamstring. I got over the hammy (v hard work), got pre season training and was the most unfit out of the team of 22 confirmed by bleep test, this got my back up and I set myself a target of being in atleast the top 10. I worked like a beast for 6 weeks, looking to put on mainly leg muscle, cardio work and a little top half. I cleaned up my eating, got on the creatine and protien and it all worked wonders. Every night I did a 40 min interval sprint/jog at a 1:1 ratio followed up by weight work alternated each night between upper and lower. In the mornings of 3 days a week I did Plyos and had weekends off. Eating, just cut out crap, the physio who sorted my hammy also studied to be a nutritionist who basically told me the one mistake people make is look at fat content and cut that out, which doesnt work, its the sugar. So I tasked myself of ignoring the fat and eating less sugary things (its amazing how much sugar is in food !!) What I will say is if your really training then skipping carbs isnt an option, without them I just didnt have the energy to push myself. I changed to wholewheat pasta, salads and a protien and veg. Porridge is a brilliant energy booster for the day too. Anyways, 6 weeks and I had slimmed noticeably, and come the bleep test was now 3rd in the team, not bad going, it was bloody hard work and the DOMs you get from Plyometrics are easily the worst I have EVER felt but it was worth it. What Id say is if you can give up an hour a day then get down the gym, ignore everyone there and really push yourself. If not then eat healthier, just cut out sugary stuff and try to do 20 mins of HIIT or Plyometrics, you will be laughing. And set a measurable goal to keep you motivated, its better to have a fitness goal like great south run etc as it makes you get fit and so lose weight IMO

It certainly would not surprise me if he left, we were looking for potential in this area in the summer but no one met Lamberts valuation.
-
Your a bit strange really, you want so many of our players to fail He didnt do an aweful lot wrong against a side that were rampant. Hardly the same as making costly mistakes like Davis has done recently.

Im scared....
