  1. Considering the amount of bans flying around I would imagine the forum will run pretty smoothly now..
  2. FFS Hypo was a grade A bellend but all this banning is why I hardly post anymore Well done mods..... Its all to create a better forum experience.................
  3. Good coach, nice bloke and well respected in the wider footballing community. Shame he has to go to that place down the road though.
  4. Yes the redevelopment has begun
  5. 11kv (soon 33) senior authorised person and protection engineer in power distribution
  6. Spot on. Also people who couldn't give a f*ck for their fellow man, I do hope they themselves are not found to be in a position of pay cut or no job as that really would be a horrible place to be in. If the rubbish is piling up bad enough to really put your life in a mix get up of your ars* and do something about it. If not and you have yet to take trips to the tip then surely its not worth moaning about it, especially when we are talking about people potentially losing their jobs. That said, if the binmen really have a choice out of pay cuts or redundencies I don't think they have made the right stand.
  7. You are no Deppo GS
  8. Having watched him play, I fully comend him for his attitude and his work ethic, however this is a step up and simply work alone does not make up for his technical inadequacies. All IMO of course.
  9. I concur. Cork would be a decent signing if we were to use Schniederlin in a more advanced role such as he is accustomed with at the French under 21's etc. Otherwise we need a new CM that is capable of breaking forward aswell as defending. That of course is unless Chaplow gets back to the form we found him in during his loan spell. IMO Hammond will be out of his depth in the championship. Same could be said for many positions of course. You basically have Davis, Fonte, Lallana, Chambo, Lambert and perhaps Morgan as first choices. Hard to convince many players he will be first choice unless he is a lot better than we have, and they cost much more. That IMO is why we have seen no signings so far.
  10. Quorn ?? Yeah the missus took to eating it during her health kick. Tried it, can't say I am much of a fan.
  11. No its Danns
  12. Quorn ??? No thanks
  13. Danns would have changed the whole system that we play in order to accomodate him, and so, not so bothered.
  14. I find that hard to believe
  15. The only way Saints could drum up REGULAR crowds of up to 45k would be if we supplimented a stadium seat increase with a large amount of success and spending. Long term this is a possibility. But we are in the Championship for the first season under the Liebherr legacy, lets just wait and see what this season brings before jumping to conclusions.
  16. As long as you got your lawnmower/hoover back...........
  17. True I wonder if Tyson had already had his mind made up, he knew his contract was up and the transfer was sorted very quickly. Connolly is ok but about 78 years old, I can't see lambert having a great season TBH and Barnard will be hit or miss. Reckon Guly may do well though. No worries though, I fully expect to have Torres and Ronaldo up front next year.
  18. Not really, you are confusing people with crimes. They are not labelled you know, I mean, how do you know ?? A burglar has a swag bag and a murderer is a person, mouth frothing carrying a bloodied bread knife I suppose ? So you walk down stairs and see the swag bag, wipe your brow. SOG - "thank f*ck for that.....thought you could be a murderer" Burglar - Hahaha "You silly old sod, I just came for your DVD collection of Judge Judy mate, hope your not making a coffee, I've got your Kettle" FFS
  19. Maynard and Sharp would be the two of the three I would go for TBH, both very much proven in the league, Sharp has what appears to be a keen eye for goal and when he has been given the oppurtunity then he seems to score goals. Maynard is quick, strong and technically a good player, quite young aswell. He again would be a fantastic signing. CMS, well, I don't see the massive clamour for him, he is a hardworker, but hardly proven outside of the lower levels (MLG's pedantry aside). For me we have a player very much like him in Barnard, in the respect that he is a hard worker and scores goals. IMO he is very much overpriced. That said, we currently have Guly, Lambert and Barnard in a striking sense. I would personally like to see a quicker striker up there to mix things up. Nathan Tyson would have been superb, Maynard even better. In the other thread someone said about andy johnson, if available and looking to move down a league he would be a top signing aswell. Oh and Avenue, if you don't get the sarcasm breaking up the all too often monotonous OTT ramblings I wouldn't bother.
  20. How do you know what type of burglar it is ?
  21. Dogs are pretty easily dealt with and distracted by anyone that really wants to get in, however it does tend to put off the everyday oppurtunists.
  22. Point taken What I am saying however is that if I confront them and they run then ok, I am not going to follow them and gun them down in a callous manner, I am also not saying that I will knock them to the ground and repeatedly crack them over the head until they are dead. That is just rediculous. As far as what we are talking about in regards to the OP then how do we really know what happened ?? Perhaps the guy was in his kitchen when confronted by not one but four masked men and grabbed a knife, perhaps they started coming towards him ? What would you do ? Put the knife down and wonder what would happen in court ? In my eyes if it was that situation then he is well within his rights to act upon his instinct. It does however turn into something different if he chased them out of his home and then caught him, dragged him back in kicking and screaming and stabbed him repeatedly to death. That would be murder IMO. All I am saying is if confronted with someone in my home I will more then likely arm and protect myself/family first and foremost and ask questions after, if they flee then what I have done is justified and I will then phone the police etc, if they stay then I have to be ready to do what needs to be done, do you really think you can reason with them ? Or try and work out the statistics oif whether they are a violent burglar or not ? What I am not saying is I will take the law into my hands, but that in these situations the law should be stacked in the favour of the homeowner, because as a law abiding person I just don't know what sort of situation I am faced with until it turns ugly or not.
  23. Utter utter bullsh*t. If someone has the mentality to break into your house, whilst occupied then surely you have to take the assumption that they are more ready then you are to use force to get what they want. The fact is I am not going to hang about trying to judge whether or not they are the type to get violent as, basically, by the time I have formed the opinion of yes or no then I will probably already be left incapacitated or worse. If I confront someone who has broken in, especially with family in the house I am going to base my assumption that they are possibly armed and possibly ready to do harm, therefore they will either exit quickly by their own means or via window down stairs etc, or worse if needs be. I can't understand those that would sit back and hope for the best, as if the best is that you take a kicking and whatever happens to your family happens then what ? I would argue that 90% of people if asked, would act first and ask questions later, also, reasonable force is so hard to judge, how do you know what weapons and what intention they have in the dark ? Under a mad panic ?
