Thats a reasonable assumption to make, and TBH i would imagine it even more reasonable had the bloke been a woman.

Not overly slagging Lambert off, not at all, and don't go accusing me of being negative as that is not me. What i am being is a realist. Lambert is off the pace, i know that he is considered a god by a lot of people, but i am not going to let my admiration of him last year get in the way of my opinion that he is out of form and the signs of him lacking confidence are painfully obvious. Should we be selling him ? No. Should we drop him ? If we had the replacements yes. Of course he still does a job upfront, and that is probably the only reason he has not been dropped, but all the time that the chances are dropping to him in the box we are throwing points away. And IMO you don't just suddenly gain masses of confidence, it comes slowly, and often after a break. Anyone who has been in that state of mind of 'i need a goal' 'i am not going to score' knows that. He has the potential to score another 30 goals this season if he sorts himself out tommorrow but he won't, and that is why i have said i doubt he will score 20. I may be wrong, i hope i am but i cannot see it ATM.

No idea, i said before the start of the season our main problems (replacement wise) would not be Antonio or Papa as IMO we have more than enough wide men, or we did before we let Punch go. But would be a midfielder and backup to Rickie, we have sorted the midfield slot but now we really need to be looking at striking replacements.

He is not sh*t, as others have said before you don't just turn sh*t as a striker. He is also not playign quite as sh*t as everyone is making out. It is however, blatently obvious that he is lacking confidence, he is dropping deep in desperation, not looking to shoot and trying to play simply rather than take a chance. Our main problem is we have nobody to replace him with, you couldn't play Connolly for longer than 10 minutes without him requiring the use of a zimmer frame. For some strikers you need to put your arm around them and give them time, we have done that and there comes a point when you need to concede defeat and give him some time off. The problem is who for ?? If he scores a couple he should come good but saying that he will still get 20 this season is almost as rediculous as calling for him to be sold. Perhaps it is because he is used to playing for teams with an excuse and being the big fish, even last season we were the underdogs in the race to be promoted really (although i still feel we failed) this season is a completely different kettle of fish and people look for him to be our talisman, that is a lot to deal with.

You would also have to find a space for Antonio as he is obviously the best player of all time and we should pay atleast 99 billion for him.

Saw Paul Weller again last night, woefully dissapointed at the fact he played most of his new songs at the expense of the classics. He needs to stop trying to be current and get on with playing what he does best. PLUS i missed an encore as the missus was steaming, PLUS i tore my hamstring falling down a curb on a late night munch hunt.
