Anyone heard any more about Harlee Dean ?? I heard he was a decent young prospect and he has turned down a contract at the daggers, I looked on the daggers forum and they seem to think he is a decent prospect, only 18 to. -

Greatest hope for this season?- Champions and JPT Biggest fear?- Not being Promoted Most important player?- Schniederlin Terrace favourite?- Lambert Keep an eye out for...- Harlee Dean (if we sign him) Player you'd happily drive to his next club?- Wotton One change you'd make at your club? Kronenbourg on tap Have we got the right manager?- Probably, now he needs to prove it. What advice would you give him?- 451 works pretty well, don't ask for loads of cash and fail to make playoffs ? Which team do you most want to beat this season?- Sheffield Wednesday Opposition player you despise?- No idea Opposition player you secretly admire?- No one Where will we finish?- Top 2

Sigh Yes i did, and he will. I also said, in reference to your point, he will not play at a higher level than puncheons CCC. Puncheon is streets ahead of Antonio as far as technical ability is concered. And IMO technique, control etc needs to be trained and bedded in at a young age, at least have a decent first touch etc by 16. Antonio doesn't, he will improve, but he will never have a great first touch, will never have a perfect delivery. As for managers having to make a choice between Puncheon and Antonio than i know it wouldn't be a player that lacks a technical presence. As for fans, yes i am sure a few would choose Antonio over Punch but that goes back to the fact that not all fans have a particularly good understanding of football. Would i take Antonio back, sure i would, but not for anything over 300k. There is better, more advanced players for their age.

Pards isn't looking for someone to take the goalscoring reigns off of Lambert IMO, just someone that will fill in his position of leading the line. That said, i would love another big boy in there applying pressure, but as what has been said previously many times, Lambert style players (creative, big, strong and goalscoring) are hard to come by and won't sit behind Lambert happily. -

Nor have i really, i have read on here he isn't all that but then i read reports that he is pretty good so i don't know, i have seen highlights of him and he looks good, takes his goals well and combines with some screamers. Plus he is a 6 foot + lump. -

What about Pittman ?? I know he isn't that great but he has the Lambert mould and a cheapish fee and some SFC nurturing he could be good ?? -
He is good at this level, especially when coming on late on, no defender likes playing against strength AND pace, so you can sort of let him off the 1 in 4 crosses on target as when he is playing well he gets in the positions more often. I think he had potential, he did need a lot of work on the technical side of this though, CCC may be a bit tough for him in that respect. He was probably better than you thought nipper, but no where near the hero worship a few have for him, signing him for anything under 300k would be good, anything more a rip off. But i hated him until the last quarter of the season.

Because our whole game revolves around him, very rarely do we actually spread the ball around and play the pretty football that our players would probably be able to achieve. When he doesn't play or he gets dominated by opposition defenders we look very average. I love winning, but sometimes hate watching the hoof ball we play at times, but then, Lambert the battering ram does the job so hey ho.

No he wasn't, i didn't like him at first, then began to like him, he has pace, he has strength but he was pretty dire technically, anyone could see that. He had a good finish on him though !!

The only thing that is rediculous is the rediculous blog by RedArmyComrade, we all know where Bournmouth are in the scheme of things and so do most of their fans, it is just cringeworthy that he has rammed it down their throats, no wonder we get the label of arrogance. End of the day, Howe has done a very respectable job at a club with limited budgets and a transfer embargo so yes, he is a good up and coming manager. Pardew hasn't really done all that much, and is hardly the world class manager that RAC believes he is. As for the reply from the bournemouth fan, he is right, we are at this level, they are at this level so we can hardly write them off, are we rivals ?? No not in my eyes, but then as was said they are a lot closer than Portsmouth are.

Behave !!! We were all like that at some point Holding your hair back as you chuck up down a dodgy toilet because you had too many WKD's Though whether it was the alcohol or the heart burn from them i never knew Unfortunately some of the people i know are still the same -
OX-C will play a lot this year from the bench IMO, AP is clearly trying him out in pre-season and that speaks volumes for me, i trust AP in the fact that if he thinks Ox-C is good enough not to bring in another Waigo/Antonio than he will be good enough. It would be nice to bring in another pacy winger, long have i thought that pace is one of those attributes that gives players so much (in some ways more than technical ability) and at this level pace has so much impact. It would also be nice to have a pacy striker but in reality we don't really play that way so its not desperate.

My instinct is that Huddersfield will struggle to make the playoffs this year, god knows why as it has no basis in reality looking at their squad. My instinct is also that we will sign someone today, i doubt that would happen either. That said, we are not as bad as you are making out, we have not been severely weakened TBF, we do need a midfielder and some pace for this season, but as i said on another thread and as Chez said it does need addressing but getting the right men in is far more important and if that waits until a few games in then so be it. IMO we definately need a replacement for if Lambert gets injured, not necerssarily a goal scorer but a strong and effective target man that can set up others just to suit who we play really. I also think we will probably play 4-5-1 this season anyways.

So after all that DBP/SRS DID buy a ST ??

Working as a cleaner in the council buildings in eastliegh, wasn't bad money for a 16 year old working around my college courses but it taught me that i didn't want to go around cleaning up peoples sh*t and leftovers all my life. This job was made all the worse when every now and again you had to clean the toilets.
