I just want to put to you and Stu where i am here. I have not been a STH for 3 seasons now, which coincided with taking my new job and so taking the pay cut that went with it (sometimes you need to go backwards to go forwards). However i agree and always have that STH's should be rewarded for what is an important income at an important stage of a football clubs financial year. I do genuinely believe that NC has f*cked up with the lack of payment plan, and the club could have handled it better. I do not concede to the thought that he is intentionally trying to reduce STH's and thus p*ss off the fans. That idea is crazy, i can see where it has come from however. I do believe that there are genuine reasons why this scheme has not been used, this being that the club has been blacklisted for its administration. Also as far as the £3 booking fee is concerened, yes it is a tad excessive but fair play for being honest and saying 'this is what it is and this is why' instead of hiding it by blanket raising prices for all tickets to cover this cost which would have been done previously.

How is it stealth tax when he has told you what you are being taxed on, quite clearly ?? Lol, surely stealth tax would be applied by increasing the ticket prices, blanket type by £3 and thus insuring the admin costs are covered ?? FFS, don't get taken in by the so called Cortese tax (lol) and the fact that apparantly some credit company will do this for free. Truth is, they won't, there is no way a company will do the administration for free, and no, it is not as cheap as people are making out. Someone said earlier about the fact that the club has struggled to get sponsors etc and will probably struggle with finance as we currently have a poor credit rating, this i can believe. Cortese diliberately reducing STH's i do not, at all. I can however agree with The9 that ideally this should have been addressed before and there could have been a warning etc, but then what would that have done ?? people would not have 'saved' for it, we would just have had earlier threads like this one. Get over it, there are options out there, you can get 0% credit cards, i did before and i had no credit history and was given a 1k limit and still manage to get 0% credit cards if and when i need one. And no, we are not blindly following NC into the flames but there is a difference between that and deliberately winding people up and getting on the mans back because of things that may or may not be true.

There may be some legs in this, but nothing anywhere near as OTT that you are spouting at the minute mate. NC seems pretty cut throat businessman like and so he may have looked at the extra finances for PAYG customers, however i don't think he is naive enough to try to rid St Marys of STH's. If anything the true story will be somewhere between this and the cost of Admin, which there will be when running the installment plan. I noticed Danny posted on this thread earlier, so no doubt we will see a 'scoop' in the daily echo (should be called the SWF echo) tomorrow, hopefully at that point the club will respond and so the handbags can go away.

I do agree, NC has caused a massive balls up with the whole no installment plan and no doubt when the echo reads this post (as they probably will, we all know what a shabby rag that is) then it will be exposed to everyone that NC is talking b*llocks. This will result in one of two things. A. It is confirmed that the club have lied and so you will probably see no response from the club. B. There is decent reasoning as to why this has not been put in place, perhaps the reason someone said earlier ?? In regards to the clubs credit rating etc ?? Now, i understand the issue, but there is a clear alternative for all those not interesting in the complete bull that is NC doesn't want ST's, there is a reason that clubs welcome ST's it is because it gives a steady income and garantueed crowds. NC is not stupid, and i don't BUY in to the 'the club does not want ST holders story' Yes NC has f*cked up, but anyone that wants an ST can use a credit card and be none the wiser, in fact a 0% credit card is probably better because, yes, you still have to pay it off but you choose the installment levels, the rate of paying off and also if you have a flush or broke month you can pay it off accordingly. I do think NC is an arrogant c*nt at times however if he gets results, which he seems to be i don't care, this installment issue as it were is not as bigger issue as everyone makes out.

Lol at the conspiracy theorists on here. We are in a great position to have a fantastic few years ahead of us. There is a decent ST renewal rate this year and still people are saying the reason that the installments have been cancelled is because he doesn't want ST holders. What a ton of Sh*te, if they didn't want ST's they would make them more expensive and take away the reduced rate for renewals. Like i said, get a decent 0% credit card and hey presto you have the repayment power in your hands
