I don't think we can compare the two appointments TBF. Some managers just do not work at certain clubs, others do. I agree, at the first appointment i was excited, then reading the charlton fans experiances with him at the helm a little worried but now i believe he was the best option and still is. The man has proven he is a good manager, and also his major criticism at charlton was the players he bought in. Now though it has proven a different kettle of fish. Before the start of the season us fans were crying out for a target man, a goal scorer, a midfield general, two decent centre backs and some pace. Pardew has done exactly that and has also made sure we have new dimensions ready from the bench that i believe to be very strong. The man has done no wrong in my eyes.

I don't understand the vilification that he has recieved since sat TBH. He didn't do that badly, we all know he gets caught offside an aweful lot but he also gives us a different dimension going forward. The dons LB was clearly crapping himself whenever Papa got the ball and are we forgetting he also had a goal disallowed and almost set up lallana with a superb run and cross ?? Yes antonio did well when he came on but the game was already changing. The fickleness of some of our fans at times astounds me. One thing is for sure, their LB will be dreading meeting saints again.

The fact that nicola and markus said earlier in the season that nobody should get a free ticket has put them well up their on the respect front for me. It's not like these guys are short of a bob or two. However i completely agree with some of the sentiments. Ok Crouch made some wrong choices but at lease he put his credibility and money on the line for the good of southampton. Something a few of our rich fans have said before they would be more than willing to do and then fail to materialise. As for Lawrie, he has such history with the club and like him or not he fully deserves to still be a part of it.

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5653167,00.html Will do a good job IMO. Has walked into a fantastic oppotunity and hopefully we will get to hear some more fantastic snippets from him in the near future !!

Brilliant. Expensive w*nk though, and are you sure you could manage it staring over the fishy expanse that is the portsmouth shanty town ??

Don't think there are any plans for building, i would assume it went over to markus ?? Would it not ??

Really ?? Why ?? -
Is the Lounge more interesting than the main forum?

The main board is ok, when people actually debate with each other and it does not turn into petty name calling and people putting others into certain groups etc. Plus the one upmanship gets on my t*ts at times. The lounge is good, i enjoy the debates and often the information that gets posted is very intuitive. The muppet show, i do enjoy the muppet show, though it could be better IMO. No offence Mods but at time i think you stop the banter a little too quickly on their, IMO people know what to expect when they venture into that domain. FWIW i believe the whole place would be better without Saint_Stevo -
It is perplexing really. Not most haunted, as that is a ton of sh*te. But the paranormal world? I have read plenty of arguements for and against and some of the evidence is pretty astounding. I find myself believing in spirits etc but still, being a man of logic and from a scientific background i find it hard to justify that belief. With aliens it is easy as mathmatically it is inevitable that we are not alone in the universe, IMO anyone saying anything other shows arrogance. But spirits etc ?? how can they be scientifically justified ? I suppose that logic has it's bounds and also that there is that possibility that we have just not discovered certain sciences yet that would give the paranormal world more credence but for the moment i believe in something i just cannot understand. Unfortunately most haunted does make a mockery of the whole subject, especially the accorah days.

I forgot how much of a nob derek accora was, and how amazing TV burp is.

He seems happy here, and if he has really had a barney with the PNE management then all the more reason. The south coast is a fantastic place to live and as a young player at this level (and probably CCC) then who would be a better man to learn from then Jaidi ?? Pardew also seems to be getting the best out of players and seems a great man for the youngsters to learn and grow with. He was my MOM yesterday, very overlooked i thought as he didn't give the dons a sniff.

I do worry a little as he is really standing out. The dons players couldn't handle him on saturday, he had a shot cleared off the line more or less and also had the keeper scrabbling with a superb left footed lobbed effort. There were times when you believed there was little to no way for him to escape with the ball and low and behold he did. He really impressed me, those that understand football could always see the boy had potential, i don't know what happened last season, he clearly was low on confidence and was not being played the right ways. Technique as a player is the hardest skill to master and more often then not you are born with it, and if not it is definately something you must learn at a young age or not at all. Ad's had it, you could see, his close control is fantastic. I hope he continues to star for us this year, he weakens the left flank we can all see that but for what he gives that is forgiveable (as long as harding remains solid that is). I believe he will be here after january, but if we fail a promotion push who knows ?? Could he play at a higher level ?? Yes, IMO.
