  1. Well, that is one of my 3 essential points sorted, number 1, a solid defensive partnership, i am sure him and trottman can sure up the back, i would hope anyways. We now need 2, pace, and 3, some much needed creativity.
  2. Playing on PKR at the moment, lucky 5's all night !!!!!!!
  3. Gentlemen Only Ladies Forbidden
  4. Really ?? Thats pretty surprising, and the fact your still on your tablets. I know the patellar graft is supposed to hurt more though. At least it's on the mend
  5. Played football for years with his brother
  6. Has he signed yet ???
  7. Playing off of lambert IMO, I agree mclaggon and mills have pace, but can they deliver a telling cross ?? TBF, i know mills looked good in the preseason
  8. Think spiderman is too much of a luxury player TBH. He obviously has an aweful lot of talent and this has been spotted by the french U21's manager and some higher placed teams. I think he would do well in a team that is built around him, to interact with the way he plays the ball, a holding player to support him and a more attacking midfielder to play, a bit like the role that Xabi Alonso used to play for liverpool. We do have the squad to play this way IMO but i just think it's too much of a risk at league 1 level. Hammond is definately a good buy, i have not seen him play however from what i have heard he is a bit more of a defensive player, which means we need a player that has a bit more industry, and more attacking flair. As much as i agree with what you say Chrisobee, and myself am a positive person, i have been left disapointed with the lack of movement in the permanent transfer market, i know we are not all managers etc, but if everyone can see we lack 3 main points effectively. 1. Pace, 2. Solid partnership at the back, 3. Creativity, incisive passing and crossing. I hope we can move forward in the loan market however.
  9. **** me thats a steal.... even for a fat pirate
  10. Done deal says storrie on SSN
  11. Indeed, this cheers me up, hopefully james has gone on the quiet too, that would be good
  12. Well, i am glad i worked and was not f5ing all day. Even worse that the skates suddenly sprang into life
  13. So have we got anyone ?? At all ?? No rumours ?? Nothing, rubbish
  14. It is league 1 though, only the fans care in this league, rumours won't hold much tabloid space unfortunately.
  15. lol TBH i don't know who to play there, especially if we don't get a replacement ?? Would rather have thomas there TBH, and leave james to his CM role. I wouldn't be completely happy with WT there but, can't see who else. Anyone in the youth team that is an up and coming talent ??
  16. He will be a brilliant player, he has already become a more rounded player then when he was the raw talent in the red and white. Look what he did to the Croat's earlier in the WCQ's !! I believe Wenger and Fergie are the number 1 managers in the prem when it comes to nurturing young talent, and Wenger is probably slightly ahead tbh. If the boy can stay free from injury this year then i believe he will be a real force to be reckoned with. England in a few years could be terrifying if handled correctly, what with young, lennon and walcott all up and coming.
  17. He was born in Rio, brazil HTH
  18. Hopefully they will carry on with this mantra. It needs to be done to stamp out diving and cheating. TBF, i think if a player is found diving for a penalty, they should be banned, definately as the implications can change a game and could in certain situations result in players being sent off of the field.
  19. Yeah, but he seems to be scoring goals at this level, is young and is obviously hungry. Was just a thought, after moving so soon i can't see him coming anyways, i just meant we need a player of that mould really.
  20. Shevchenko has been told he could leave
  21. Webber Jackson Theo Robinson Tyson Beckford (won't happen) Any of the above would be nice Gradel Cambell-Ryce Moritz Volz Jonathon Fortune
  22. And both will have no place on a CV after a few years
  23. Lol, says the man who is trying to convince me that having TWO target men upfront is the way forward ?? Lambert recieves the ball, whether he flicks, holds the ball up or whatever, he is the man there to hold off the oafish defenders, but you will have more luck if you also have a man upfront that has a different dimension to his game. Ask any bigish center half, they would much prefer playing against the big players then the smaller nippy strikers. Lambert needs someone to play off of him, it is a classic partnership that many teams employ because it works well. Lallana can show the trickery and industry and the differing dimension to a big hulking Lambert. What is the point of lambert holding the ball up, passing it to another striker to hold the ball up ?? And so on exactly ?? It is not like we have pace on the wings to move up around the back ?? Don't insult me by saying i clearly have no clue when obviously your own opinion is so very flawed. Edit - I do agree that you will have to stop lallana dropping back if this is the case, ideally i would rather a new, pacey, goal hungry striker, just saying i think AL can do a job there
