Yeah, and that fee may have been achieveable at a lesser prive should we not have had to pay bournemouth
-
Its a pretty typical Glasgow alt account, same as Yuki, abiz yizaz (spelling?) and bournemouth saint
-
Technically it would have been the same. We wanted a figure, bournemouth had a definate fee. So we upped the price to ensure we got what we wanted. Without the bournemouth fee we would have realistically recieved the same, but the overall value of the transfer would likely have been less.

Ironic post of the weekend award goes to.....

Hi glasgow
-
From what Ive been told by the people that know him. For certain reasons he doesnt want to move back south. Ive no idea if that includes the london boys or not, just that early last year we made an approach abd were told he doesnt want to come south
-
Thankfully you dont pick the team either
-
Its not that its ended, I just cant see us really pushing on from here. If all of a sudden Pellè and Elia remember how to play than perhaps we can push Spurs and liverpool. But the way we are playing right now I dont think so. Windows isnt wrong, we had a real oppurtunity in january and bought in an AM we arguably didnt need instead of trying to wrestle a striker here

More than likely yes

To be fair the season is fizzling out

asset stripping, aiming for 7th, or relegation?

I stick with what I said, I got it wrong but I wouldnt of changedmy opinion pre season. Those bleating about the position we are in now cannot genuinely tell me there was not times that they worried. I certainly did. The reason that our position now is talkedabout with such enthusiasm is because of the situation we were in. And we will be foolish if we believe that particular transfer model is in any way sustainable -
He looked a lot better in the blue of italy then he does for us regularly thats for sure, though he isnt a regular italy starter either. He is out of form right now, easy to mark, lacks composure and prefers to flick then hold the ball up. Id fully expect us to improve on him if we want to make the same impact next year tbh
-
I thought the same, very poor in the air for a big lad. Why people think he is going to be the answer I just dont know. Unless he has improved a lot since his injury he isnt going to be any sort of real option. Think he needs to go out on loan personally
-
For around the millionth time... He doesnt want to come south
-
Gallagher was pretty poor last year tbh, as bad as pellè has been recently he is still a much much better option than Gallagher. Never seen anything of the lad to get excited about tbh
-
They agreed the price pre loan contract
-
Whats facepalm about that ?

Harry Redknapp was given those chances to fail due to previous successes he has shown, John Barnes has not shown any real aptitude in management regard. If he was good enough he'll get back to the top, if not he won't. There aren't enough black coaches in the game currently, and that is the real issue here. From a statistical perspective if you have a smaller pot you will naturally have less top quality picks from it. That is were football needs to look, why aren't there more black players going for their badges ?

It was no thanks last summer, no thanks in jan and no thanks now High wages and he just wont fit
-
Kane, jagielka, rooney, barkley, carrick and townsend looked good. Walcott, Delph, Jones, Clyne particularly aweful. The system was dire IMO. I understand the want to 'test' players but why change personel and the system ? Feel sorry for Bertrand
-
**** me...... Playing a CB at CM and a shocking RB at CB..... Does roy know its not april fools yet ?

Edge
-
Que 'bertrands call up confirms he will move on next year' 'henderson to tap him up' etc etc
-
Tbf only one is a lb, and Bertrand/Rose are about the same level. Shaw will be a top top player. It seems worse because he is our player. But its not as bad as everyones made out
