  1. True, your a clever chap, Im sure you knew what I meant
  2. How is that at all relevant. He was found not guilty, so regardless of anything he is innocent
  3. Something genuinely needs to be done about the genuine rape claims that go unpunished, I just do not know how to do that, being able to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt must be incredibly tough and I feel for the jury in such cases. Let alone the victims within which I would imagine a non-guilty verdict is just as crushing as the original offence. I dont however condone releasing the names of offenders who have not been found guilty, unfortunately the truth is that innocent people will still find their lives torn apart by the accusations, and I dont think as a society we can do that to innocent people.
  4. Neither from you also Its a matter of interpretation
  5. Im pretty sure thats not what he said
  6. Categorically no, as much as agree it will be good to promote more victims to come forward our whole legal system is built on innocent until proven guilty. This opens the door for peoples lives to be destroyed by accusations that may turn out to be incorrect, and I think thats fundamentally wrong personally.
  7. Arsenal and chelsea have always wanted slattery, the boys mustard. An absolute cut above anyone else that age in the academy
  8. The only really decent CB we have is Cahill. We dropped a bollock when we publically denounced Terry. I mean, the blokes an idiot but he is still exceptional. The england team is starting to look half decent in the striking department again, midfields getting a bit stronger too. Woeful in defence though, we have some excellent FBs coming through but CB is just dire.
  9. Lol at not picking Forster... Or Henderson
  10. As much as it is completely mental. And god knowshow the European nations will react. It may be quite nice to watch the world cup with a mulled cider......... But then thinking about it, no, its not going to work is it ?
  11. Mods, can you change the title please
  12. What a monumental cluster**** this has turned out to be http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/31975274
  13. Yeah I can concede that it shouldnt have been his man, the CBs got dragged across like Id explained in a previous post. But he did end up there, and he has to take a responsibility in that situation. As for Chelsea being much better, they couldnt have been much worse. I dont think it was really Davis coming off the pitch, it was a few factors. A tireing long, a chelsea with a rocket up them and Ramires on for a poor Matic are all parts. Now lets not get this confused with me calling on the end of Davis, he adds so much to this team. But he had a poor game against chelsea, thats all.
  14. Yeah, its an FA conspiracy...
  15. Really ? He has been absolutely outstanding recently
  16. Ive kept saying this for the last 3-4 years, but nobody bothers to listen. Hopefully people may start to get this situation now because you are spot on. There is also the Tom Cleverley situation, which, although he possibly wasnt as good as one or two other options around the PL he fell into a pocket of able players. And from a coaching point of view it does make sense, in the same way that keeping continuity makes sense. A coach atleast at international level has a very small amount of time to gel a squad and get a team playing the way he wants. This is made more difficult by the fact that club players are coached to a level of carrying out their club orders instinctively. And so, it helps to have groups of players already used to playing together. Its a shame that Bertrand didnt get in though. Along with Clyne and Forster you have you're group, perhaps add JWP into that after the retirement of Carrick (which should have happened in an older player cull IMO). But Steve is right, Bertrand has some stiff competition there, and Shaw is (rightly so IMO) the prodigal son there.
  17. This really
  18. *bangs head against wall*
  19. Cue the tap up ******** ad infinitum. He is good enough, just out of form. So its a strange time to call him up in a way. Not that Im overly concerned by the call up. We should be doing much more to get some youngsters big game emgland experience, and there is a bit of a surge for young english players coming through right now. That said, Forster, Clyne and Bertrand should be absolute dead certs for an england berth. Plus Ive been saying for years on here that International strategy is to call up players in 'groups' over individual form. Not that its ever listened too
  20. Well he did by his standards. Lost Costa for the goal and lost possession in good positions moving forward. I looked at a few ratings sites post match which had him at a maximum of 6 out of 10
  21. Its always horses for courses to a small extent but most teams will have a settled 11, and I include most of the top six in that, Im not a massive fan of major change and prefer consistancy. I can understand the thoughts of leaving out Davis for Elia perhaps, Burnley will be compact so a tad more pace and trickery may make sense. But generally my first 11 will bemore or less the same dependant on form and fitness
  22. Who MLG ?
  23. He managed to be completely wrong aswell, which was impressive considering there was a thread on Djuricic talking about his quotes regarding staying at saints. Isnt he an Arsenal fan anyway ?
