People support their team in different ways, any fan who took the trouble to be there yesterday should be congratulated not criticised for how they support their team.

I was there and it looked like a penalty to me, looking at the OS photographs there is contact with an arm across Barney on the first in the photo sequence and slight foot contact in the second?. If it was seen as 50/50 Barnay shouldn't have been booked, however he has been booked before for 'diving' so maybe he should go to acting lessons to be more subtle rather than fling himself to ground so dramatically !

Come on Saints you can win this.
-
If we can win tonight on a cold dark night, mid week away from home up north, on a poor pitch, against a team that's got a good home record, then it will show how we have progressed far more than recent home games. In the past this has often been the recipe for a disappointing performance, lets hope things have finally changed. COYR

It's a relief that Ricki seems to be OK with his team mates, we need him firing on all cylinders for the remainder of the season.
-
Reading his interview on the saintsfc web site he says that he was 'a bit angry with certain players (at 1 - 0 down)'. Who do you think that they were ? I know that it is natural to be annoyed with your team mates at times but being 'a bit angry' maybe shows that Ricki has some issues with some of the team and maybe contributing to his 'off' performance this season. To be fair he does go on to say 'but we picked ourselves up and got back in the game, and I think that we did that brilliantly', so maybe I'm micro analysing his comment too much but it was an interesting thing that he said probably born out of his personal frustration with his form.

There are 6 or 7 mid week opportunities between mid March and the end of the season on 7th May to fit in any more postponements, more than enough unless all our scheduled matches in January are postponed.

Walsall Weather Watch / Build-up Thread - Game called off!
M271 replied to Master Bates's topic in The Saints
Met office site now not showing snow for tomorrow (Saturday) in the West Midlands but -4c at kick off time !! Only possibility of light snow today. If the surrounding areas are not icy (crowd safety !!) and the pitch is frozen but flat the game should be on. -
Are players wearing gloves allowed to take throw ins ? Do referees check them to make sure that they're not rubber palmed etc... Could be an advantage.

Here, here. My sentiments exactly.

2 adults = £36.80, still certainly cheaper to drive as that equals about 7 gallons of fuel.
-
I've just checked on the web site 'the trainline' and its £27.60 from Wigan to Huddersfield return for 1 adult and 1 child, £15.65 if you get a Family and Friends railcard.

Can you buy away end tickets for the Saints match on Tuesday night at the Yeovil ground ?

I seem to remember Sky sources were often wrong during the take over saga last year, I hope that these sources ref Paul Hart are just as inaccurate.
-
Paul Harts win % over his managerial career is only 30.75% !!, according to Wikipedia.
-
SSN quoting that Paul Hart is high on the list to take over at St Marys !!!

The replacement of Pardew would be madness, not just because of the manager but the knock on effect to back room staff, players brought in by Pardew, morale, uncertainty etc.. How ever (potentially) good a new manager may be he will have to have time to settle and have a team in his style built up. We cannot afford another season of rebuilding. Pardew record since mid January when his current squad was finally asssembled is 13 W, 5 D and 3 L which equals 44 points from 21 matches that would be 96 points if that form was over the whole season, that to me means that he has done a good job and deserves to have at least another season with us.

When did the alledged booing of NC take place?, if it was before the match it was for Malwinney and if during the second half it was for the Carlisle supporters not keeping the Mexican Wave going. People are not always looking at the screen they can be looking at things going on in the stadium or on the pitch. No booing for NC that I heard from Block 236 (south west corner), only cheers for anyone to do with SFC.

I remember at the Dell in the 70's when they used to play the vinyl records before the match. It used to make me laugh when they rarely had the records that had been requested for example ' we'd like to say happy 7th birth to Jimmy Bloggs who would like to hear ?????? however we haven't got that so here's We are the Champions by Queen' Also often the records jumped and sounded warped, probably left in the sun or near a radiator LOL.

If you have a customer/database number and have bought online before try buying online NOW, I know 2 mates who have bought online already without being season ticket holders and got 2 tickets each as if they were season ticket holders.
-
I know of 2 other people who are similar to your situation i.e. not season ticket holders but used to have membership who have bought online before managed to order Wembley tickets online already.
-
I think that the online sales system works very well both for my previous ticket purchases and my Wembley and Tranmere tickets this week. No complaints, so far !
-
I can only see £34 and £24 tickets available online, have the more expensive seats all sold ?

This design looks really good and distinctive with the twin arches, do you know what the extra capacity would be ? Its also interesting to see an improved pedestrian railway bridge which in my opinion should be improved anyway regardless of any changes to the stadium. Also does anyone know the status of any plans for redevelopment of the surrounding area such as the Industrial Estate, Bank of the Itchen / Marine Parade (Gravel Works etc..) and Gas Works (I had heard that the Gas Works could be relocated). I've recently seen talk about a New Ice Rink and Snow Dome in the area so maybe the area is earmarked as a Leisure redevelopment area ?

Maximum ticket allocation that I have seen is 37000 for Luton in last years JPT final, Gillingham got 38000 for the play off last year. Seems to be problems with segragation by giving one club too many. Hopefully they can find a way round it this year. http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kentonline/sport/2009/may/17/gillstickets.aspx
