In my opinion we need competition for Pelle, Long does a good job up top, JRod could do the job as well (but worked better with a Lambert type player), but i just sense Pelle thinks his position is secure when he doesn't do enough for me. On a positive note the you tube vids I've seen of Clasie may just wake him up a bit.

I'm hoping RK has told him to sign another 3 year deal, stick with it for 2 years as that's what RK's contract expires, then he can move on for a sizeable fee. He can enjoy the Southampton journey with the current manager in charge (which i think has a lot to do with it) But what do i know !, even if he does go right backs are replaceable.

I used to love it when the player of the year was presented on the Dell pitch on the last home game of the season. It was always done just before kick off. I think it has happened a few times at St Mary's but only during the warm up. Anyway Jose for me, he was potentially on his way when we got promoted but has been superb ever since, especially this season.

Really proud for the boys and the club, looked solid all night, must be tiring playing on that St Mary's pitch, lots of players cramping up. Not happy with the idiots running on the pitch tho.

He was specifically talking about the Man U cup game, Higginbotham stood up after the game and said some of you in this dressing room are not putting enough effort in. Redknapp said who were they and Danny said Bernard and Camara. Fair play

Went to the game today, thoughts as follows : The Vine - good pub, nice walk to the ground along the rail track ! Burger - ok ish, luke warm, been there for a while I think before being purchased The ground - nice tight enclosed ground, felt confident we could at least get a draw. West Brom support - very good 1st half, bit like St Marys where the northam sing but not much else from the rest of the ground. Saints support - big blow when they scored so soon into the game, 2nd half good rendition of owts for a good 10 minutes Saints formation - could see the 3 at the back wasn't working, RK made the right call in taking Gardos off and reverting to 4 4 2. Saints looked very rigid, only got behind them when Long came on, West Broms tactics - time wasting tactics were shocking, the ball boys disappeared when they scored ! Typical Pulis. In summary - nice and easy away day, RK has to now earn his money and find a a way to score some goals. Not happy with the 2 mile hike back to the car. Back home in Fair oak by 7.30pm P.s - Phil Dowd needs to retire, another shocking display by him I thank you..

The Vine is a good pub, nice Indian food, good atmosphere.
