In all seriousness, Saturday day time looks okay for Southampton, with further rain likely in the evening. Tomorrow's (Thursday) is meant to be the worst day for rain.

After various injuries, Jaidi comes on from the bench on 90 minutes with the scores level at 1-1 and West Ham winning 4-0. He picks the ball up in his own half in the 96th minute and instead of punting it forward, takes it past 8 Coventry players before smashing the hardest shot ever seen against the crossbar. It bounces down onto the left post, bounces up along the line to hit the right and hits Guly in the face, going in the net to send us absolutely mental..... ...because he's offside.
-
He's a big player for us. He might not have the final product, but he's always involved and we look much more like scoring when he plays. He went off against Reading and went onto lose, same yesterday.
-
I really doubt that it'll matter that we're on the tv or not for this one. It's such a big game that all the attention will be on us either way - so it'll make no difference to the players. It shouldn't be an excuse anyhow. COYR.
-
When the team wins, nobody can moan about stuff on the pitch - so they moan about the stuff off it that doesn't matter. The Guly threads will re-appear again if we lose on Saturday.
-
They'll be well and truely down by then.
-
Officially we did yes, but the goal difference swing was so massive that it was essentially wrapped up at Plymouth, hence the non-totally-bonkers invasion v Walsall which was more a party atmosphere.
-
Last year's one against Walsall kinda felt false as everyone knew we were already up, whereas it's looking likely that this year that we may well need a result on the final day to win promotion - so no anti-climax and pure joy! It's inevitable really, so there's no point stopping it.

We have some pessimistic fans but you top them all. Let's hope none of the players read this bed-wetting drivel. I also hope that no supporter like you is at Peterborough on Tuesday. The players need support, not tension that they're going to choke, because then they actually will. Stop actually wanting us to fail. It was the same with you last season and the same again. TOGETHER AS ONE (not that you'd believe it reading this forum).

Premier League ?? We ARE having a laugh
Saint_lambden replied to SaintRichmond's topic in The Saints
Can people just calm the f*ck down and not post things in the heat of defeat? We will need 5/6 new signings if we go up. Everybody knows that. Reading took their chances tonight and pounced on 3 mistakes we made. I doubt Allardyce is laughing his balls off, pressure is on them to go and win tomorrow. 2 wins out of 3 and we're up. Take a deep breath, accept that we lost to a good team and get behind the team from now on. -
I moan about what other fans are wearing because it really puts me off the football.

Diddums.

On the TV on a Friday night or not, surely it has to sell out? Biggest game in years in the context of things.
-
Don't wet your knickers. We only need 3 (if one is over Reading) or 4 wins to get over the line. We just have to assume Hammers & Reading will win all their games not against us. Barnsley are dreadful and Leeds are so inconsistent it's untrue, with a threadbare squad and 10 men today to make it worse. Have faith.

Izale McLeod is 13th. A league 2 player, 13th

Richardson's not bad at them I hear.

Lambert. In-form and a proven goalscorer in the prime of his career. What does Carroll offer? He's unfit, a boozer, dreadful attitude and can't hit a barn door. The £35m fee means nothing.

4-1 loss at home to Pompey but win the last 5 matches?
Saint_lambden replied to Jonnyboy's topic in The Saints
a) We won't lose 4-1 to them. b) Even if we did, our confidence would be so shot that I doubt we'd go on and get promotion, let alone win the nest 5 games. -
All I could find was from 13.08 on here, the inbreds waving their arms in the air and chanting "easy! easy!": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vU6h5JP9Kjc&feature=relmfu

This is a wind up, right? The bit about selling him is too, right? RIGHT?!
-
It's something that, if we go up, the players have to get over. We'll be on the TV even more in the top league and the attention is there even more. Instead of going to parties and concerts this week, maybe the players should have a quiet week in to fully focus on the game.
-
Sounds bizarre but that result will hopefully wake the players up to realise that we're nowhere near over the line yet. Shambolic defending and no imputes to go forward at all. Hopefully Lambert and Tadanari are back for the derby. At least that will get rid of the gloating on here of us hammering the skates 5-0 etc, even if they did get pummeled today. Good ol' Saints, never doing it easy.

It's the natural Saints pessimism. Don't worry, we all have it.
