Hooiveld's block, the sending off and Coterill having a hissy fit
Saint_lambden replied to jawillwill's topic in The Saints
Cotterill always has to blame someone else for the fact he's underachieved the past two years. No progress with either Pompey or now Forest. Clear elbow on Connolly, and Tudgay went over like he'd been shot in the first 10 mins, just like Derbyshire did in the reverse fixture to try and get a penalty. Hammond didn't card wave by the looks of it, just pointed out it was an elbow. Kelvin only came running over to break up bodies too. What Hooiveld's tackle for his yellow is doing in there I have no idea, because it was a yellow and no more. -
Lambert who?

He scored 50 goals in 95 games for Sc_unthorpe.

4th Round Draw - Millwall or Dagenham Away
Saint_lambden replied to Thorpe-le-Saint's topic in The Saints
Not really sure who I want, as I'm not sure whether I want us to progress in the cup at all! Like above has said, it'll be more interesting than today's game so....anyone at home really. -
He's way too inconsistent. Reading fans get very frustrated by him. A poor man's Guly I suppose!
-
I think Dickson will probably be off this month, but Holmes and Butterfield will most likely start at Coventry Saturday if we're going to continue our Cup rotation policy.

I don't understand this language you speak. Enjoy your relegation battle/pending administration.

I bet we do better away from home in the 2nd half of the season than in the first. It'd be typical Saints.

Managed to get a few somehow, looking forward to it!

I'm hoping this is just a joke from that singer Adam Lambert being arrested for fighting...
-
A good performance really, in 2nd gear too. Palace were fairly content with trying for a point in the first half but we had to hold strong to keep them out for a bit at the start of the 2nd 45 mins. Pleased for Guly - right place, right time etc. De Ridder was great, as was Schneiderlin. Hooiveld my MOTM. What a buy.

They're called plastics. Up and down for the toilet like they had bladder problems. I heard someone behind ask if Chaplow was playing 20 minutes in

"Adam Lallana, makes Halford look REALLY REALLY REALLY sh*te"
-
A little perspective please. Yes, Guly was b0llocks ad bottled the 'header' but Fonte(?) shouldn't have let Thorne have the header back across in the first place. The beauty of Guly is that he'll probably go score in the next game and everyone will scratch their heads in confusion. Pompey were sh!t, and we'll p!iss all over them at St Mary's. They have no money to buy someone who actually knows what it's like to score a goal to replace that donkey Kitson and we're miles ahead of them at the top. Lallana was quality, as was Cork and Hooiveld. Lambert - 1 chance, 1 goal. Not sure why Fox came off, surely a knock?! Onto Palace, but 2 points dropped.

Another 5 yellows on Saturday v Boro, but it's all the refs fault I tell you!!!

Seems as if they're all growing facial hair for the club xmas do tonight.

Nigel coming out and criticising the players ahead of next weeks game isn't going to help, and he was never going to because he's a positive person. On another day we could have won that yesterday, but also could have lost it. I'll take the point and move on. The players have clearly had the Pompey game in the back of their mind for quite some time now, so hopefully they live up to the build-up. Please win lads, I can't stand having to take stick from them until April at least.

Joe Curtis scored again, Seagar and Jake Sinclair with the other goals. Ward-Prowse started on the bench because of the cup game on Monday. Spotted Cortese watching in the highlights on Player.

He's not fooling anyone with top 10 come January. What he must want deep down and I'm sure what we all want is to be top 2 by January. January's fixtures are very tough though.

Today shows why we should have signed James Beattie
Saint_lambden replied to Paul Chuckle's topic in The Saints
Yeah, we should've signed Beattie for one game. -
I'm waiting for Poyet to come out and say that he's signed for the better club and that they're like Barcelona in comparison to us, Chippenham Town.....

Playing United a week after their 5-0 defeat to Newcastle...we won 6-3

Our oponents in the prior round of the league cup
Saint_lambden replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
We'll be visiting Old Trafford every season if we focus on the league and go up, which we are doing! -
Pompey & Reading at home within a week - I cannot wait for that!
