  1. If Dyer had anything about him he would have chuckled at said knifeman then calmly informed him that he is an expert in Krav Mega and if the knife was used on him he would be forced to remove it from that person and would not hesitate in using it on them in a non lethal, yet highly effective manner. Then kick him in the balls. Then scan. Then take the money and the drugs. Then scan again. Turkish, thinking about it we should use our new skills to become international drug gang robbers, we would be the scourge of global narcotics traffickers, leaving Interpol scratching their heads as they find yet another heap of Eastern European rent a mobs in a twisted moaning tangle of body parts undone yet again by simple, non lethal yet highly aggressive and effective hand to hand combat. Anyway, back to work for me...
  2. Flights from Bournemouth to Malaga looking at about £150 return. Not far from Seville too, a City I've always fancied. ALWAYS wanted Saints abroad in the sunshine with San Miguel! Will have the credit card poised to book up the moment they confirm on twitter!
  3. I've got the articles as complete PDF's but don't think you can post them on here in that format?
  4. You epitomise everything wrong with English football. That or you are a sick weirdo with no life that gets kicks out of winding people up on an Internet forum. I genuinely pity you either way.
  5. How's your capacity you skate c##t? Close to half filling it! Disgusting part time fans only selling 5k STs eh?
  6. You don't live in the city do you? There will always be a Pompey to me, I was dragged up the hate them, my mates hated them and I'll make sure my kids hate them. Our fans from outside the city seem to think its that horrible word "banter". To me they could be 3 divisions above us or 3 divisions below us my hatred for every thing that disgusting, cheating, charity robbing, cowardly, gutless city/ club stands for will never be forgotten. Southampton born, bred, die.
  7. Wilshire is the best English player since Gascoigne IMO, huge talent. Only downside (like Gazza) is injuries. Only English midfield/ attacking player that would get near the Spanish or German teams.
  8. I remember about 10 years ago they actually only had 2731 at home to Blackburn (then a Prem side) in a League Cup 2nd leg match. That single attendance sums up their level of support for me.
  9. The club have far too much class to conduct business in a fading and failing 4* hotel slap bang in the City centre. Far more likely to use one of the many more discreet and affluent New Forest venues I'd have thought.
  10. Top lad and brilliant performer. Was at the Joiners on Friday and it was one of the best gigs I've ever seen there, he absolutely smashed it! Bought myself a "MUSH" t shirt too.
  11. But here's me thinking that this "El Zorro" kid is the next Suarez? Agree if in July we havn't got anyone super special in then he will have to change his game a bit, the others need to step up too and improve their movement, personally I think an improved J Rod can become that sort of player.
  12. This was early in the season (just before Christmas I think), but I did ask about this and the general consensus is as long as he keeps trying things others can't see him losing it my either taking on an extra man or the odd loose pass is absolutely fine. He is the one they were looking to to take risks. He is/ was held in very high regard internally and they are expecting big things from him. Nice lad too apparently, no big time charlie antics or anything, keen to learn in training, always gives 100% and loves Lallana as a "baller" (footballers love that ****ing word). Again, this is stuff from a few months back. As I say, a quality, mobile striker and attacking midfielders to make runs to support his through balls will get the best out of him.
  13. Goes along with what I heard from a 1st team player at the start of the season over a curry with the family (happily tell you who in person next time I see you) that Gaston is by a mile the most skillful player at the club (and far stronger than people expected him to be) but the only problem seems to be that his footballing brain is too quick for the others, he see's balls and plays them and the lads at the end of it just miss out and keep (almost sheepishly) putting their hands up for not seeing it too. Only player on the same wavelengh, footballing brain wise is/ was apparently Lallana? To get the best out of Gaston, and I still firmly believe his best could be one of the best players in the league, we need to spend big on a mobile striker on his wavelength.
  14. Sounds like a lot to me, recently my gearbox, off side drive shaft and clutch all blew up in spectacular fashion on my 2007 Audi A3. After getting quotes of approx £2k I found a gearbox with a year warranty and 30k miles for £500 delivered, a drive shaft for £60 brand new and delivered (was quoted £180 before) and paid £150 for the clutch. The labour was a bloke that came out to mine recommended by a pal at Silverlake, he did it all in 6 hours charging £30 an hour. From what you've described it should be no where near as complicated as what I had done so I'd suggest your friend gets a 2nd opinion.
  15. Went there on a stag do last year. I have absolutely nothing to offer you fella....
  16. Bridge was outstanding for Brighton last season tbf.
  17. I was with a mate of mine last night that has lived in London for 10 years as a trader, was about to move out to Dubai next week but he's backed out at the last minute. Personally, and I told him this last night, I think that's a good move. From what I've heard from an ex colleague (& from a bod or 2 on here actually) the streets aren't exactly paved with gold anymore, he wasn't offered any sort of relocation package so it seemed a big gamble. Now the poor lad has to spend the next 3 months looking for a new job in the smoke based in his old box bedroom round his old dears having moved out his amazing flat in Islington. Tough decision moving abroad, the people I know that have that I've gone and met basically spent my entire visit going on and on about what a great decision it was. I left thinking they were saying that to convince themselves.... Different reasons all round and seeing as your wife is from SA you'll be we'll set up there.
  18. Hedge End? I run Hedge ****ing End.
  19. Whilst its certainly clever I can't see them getting away with it. Makes a great precedent that would instantly wipe all contracts with sell on clauses worthless. Think about it, we sell Shaw to Chelsea with a 25% sell on clause, 3 years time Barca buy Shaw and some youth team no mark for a combined £100m, £99m for the degenerate, £1m for Shaw. Everyone will be at it.
  20. So that's around a 5% increase. Absolutely fine by me, pleased with that. Will renew as soon as possible.
  21. Brilliant day. Up all night the night before, me and a mate persuaded 2 other mates that didn't even support Saints (they do now weirdly enough) to drive us to Cardiff at 6am. Got to Cardiff at 7.30am and no other Saints fan there yet, until we saw a mini bus full of older lads from our local (Fountain, Hedge End) outside a Tescos Express type shop all on the Stella. We joined them and the rest of the day is a blur. Watched the game in the PoW with a good 100+ other Saints without tickets (cheapest I could find was £350). Jesus, just remembered, actually there were 5 of us, a rogue mate of mine was also with us, not seen him for years, his claim to fame was he used to also follow Millwall as he loved fighting, he was on a documentary once where a load of 'wall torched a Pompey car, at the start of the footage you see and hear him point out the Pompey badge in the car and rounded up the other lads to do it over. Right, I'm off to Facebook to look him up, top lad he was! Before I do, remember getting back to town after and it being punchy as you like with the entire City at the wrong end of an all dayer ending in defeat. Tear ups all over the place, saying that though we did head to New York New York! I was gutted with the result, although in hindsight no shame in losing to one of the great British sides, was it the following season they went unbeaten?
  22. Yep, Swiss Ramble is quality. However the skate morons still completely ignore this. I genuinely can't get my head around a group of people (and it isn't 1 or 2) that take pride in completely making stuff up. Blatant lies and completely dismiss facts sourced independently. "yeah fella, the scummas ran up a £25m loan from some dodgy f***** in the Cayman Islands and the Nazi's family are skint innit, they need to sell up like otherwise they will not sell out anova fundraising game as they don't have any fans and couldn't sell as many Season Tickets in the Prem as we already av in 2 days in League 2. Thierry Henry told me down Saaathsea Common yesterdee ffs".
  23. The bold bit cracks me up. It is in our June 2012 accounts published in March this year, £3.2m. Not even the value of Luke Shaw's left bootlace....
  24. According to previous years accounts Cortese was on £600k a year iirc. The publication of his salary from last financial year came after we had secured promotion to the Prem in the end of June 12 financials. With that in mind I assumed he earned some sort of performance related bonus, as do most exec directors upon delivering growth/ exceeding targets. I believe a lot of our players are incentivised this way too, I read in the times recently that we are leading the way with (relatively) low wages and big bonuses for performance. Something I'm completely comfortable with. Personally don't like his attitude but no one can say he hasn't been a success off the field.
