I'm sure you're all lovely people and most of the PR people I speak to are very helpful. However, a lot of the time, it would just be a lot easier if I could speak to somebody in authority direct, rather than having to go through a press officer to get a watered-down version of the truth. As it happens, I feel that working in the 4th estate is pretty noble. Aside from all the human interest stuff, which generates the sales, there is a lot of important work done to ensure various authorities are held to account and the public knows what is going on. The people who work on local papers generally work quite hard for what most people would consider low pay. The jobs are particularly low paid compared to most people who work in PR. I'm not bitter.

Indeed, hence my assertion that working in advertising, marketing and PR is working for the devil. However, one day, I will probably end up giving in and trying to move into corporate communications or PR. It's much more financially rewarding, doncha know.

I hear Satan is always on the look out for help. If you're really good, you can sell your sould for good at the end of a two week placement.

"I thought he was a bit unlucky" - my dad, in the car on the way home from the game. Lolz111!!1!11 Wikipedia says Dia graduated from Northumbria Uni in 2001. Wonder what he's doing now.

He was as good as, if not better than Neil Heaney.

Amazing. I can log off now.

Are we winning yet? FFS Why not? FFS Rickie Lambert is not 6"3. I reckon that's why he hasn't scored yet, because the song isn't right. Is anybody singing the new song? I bet it doesn't get sung at home games by the part-timers. FFS

Is it 'over six feet three' or 'nearly six feet three'? I think it needs to be clarified. Wilko 5'11

Is there a Brewers Fayre or Harvester near the ground? If not one of those, how about a Hungry Horse? You can get an awesome mixed grill and a pint of Fosters from every pub in the chain.

I'm pretty sure that if I started a thread about how everybody should join one of the mainstream political parties, it would be locked. This lot are a political organisation and a racist one. Surely it's time to lock the thread.....

10.20ish from Bristol Temple Meads is the usual service. Gets in at about midday. Our small group doesn't tend to go to many home games any more, not many games at all, now I think about it. However, I'm sure you'll see bungle getting on at Bath.

An eye for an eye and we will all be blind. State sanctioned killing is still murder, and merely lowers society to the levels of the criminal.

Not value for money IMO. Will probably stick to aways this season.

I love Matt and this won't do anything to change that. It's not like he threw a match or anything. *awaits angry responses*

Thanks for the tip, it sounds awesome.

It wins my nomination. You can't argue with 16 real ales. Having said that, it's the only one I've been to this season, so there's not much competition.

Suicidal. I may never recover. I'll probably have to go off work with stress for a week or so and I'll be lucky if I don't harm myself in some hideous way. The bird will be given the car keys and all sharp implements, as well as all my ties and belts.

You are clearly a right f'in misery guts.

Murdoch has a point. The BBC website is so dominant in the market that almost every other form of media suffers. It's website covers all the national stories as they happen, leaving the following day's national papers almost redundant. You might not see the problem with that, but you'll miss them when they're gone. This country also used to have a successful local media, which held the local authorities to account and covered news at the local level. However, the BBC website pretty much covers all the big stories now, as well as many of the smaller, local stories. It stifles the whole system. However, for somebody at the top of News Corporation to talk about independence is beyond hypocrisy. My advice: go out and buy your local paper every day to ensure the survival of democracy.

4/ The number of times he wins a header and nobody is anywhere near the knock-down is pretty shocking. 2/ We went into the Armoury after the game. No trouble at all. 3/ It's so depressing I don't even know how to express my sadness at it all. Away games used to be a laugh. These days, everybody just seems to turn up, sit down, look miserable, then go home. What's the point in travelling 300+ miles for that? Yesterday, it gave the miserable jobsworth stewards the ultimate sanction against the 100 or so people who did want to stand up. Have a word with yourselves.

We are definitely going to get relegated. Pardew out111111111
