Sorry to read this - glad your lad is ok...it is a part of the learning curve, sadly. From my own experience the only two times I got punched were when I was being a 'brave' teenager & taking the piiss after games at Chelsea & Old Trafford (late sixties/early seventies....we had won superbly both times. Experience tells me I was being a twart (albeit a very exhilarated one) & although there have been times since when I might have been involved I just grew up a bit. Doesn't sound like your boy was doing anything like this but time will teach him which side of the pavement to walk & who his mates are...like the others I wish him well & hope he doesn't let it stop his enjoyment in going.

Kudos to the 2,229 fans...was listening to Solent (when it wasn't cutting out) in the office and the noise was excellent...really wanted to be there but happy with the result!

It did for me...I don't think it's ever gone a whole game without! Today about 10-20 times (I can't keep count & listen) for about 3-4 seconds each time - is this what others with the problem experience? Really frustrating when we're attacking!

Cutting out at crucial, non-crucial & totally actionless moments...it really is not fit for purpose!

The paranoia on here is unreal Why does a five year plan need constant references? Lots of building jobs start, stop & then start again for multiple practical, contractual, planning or even just change of needs reasons...why does this have to be an issue with anything else? I'm a Saints fan so am well used to expectations not being met as hoped/expected/promised....I've also had building work frustrated for all the reasons above...let's keep some perspective here guys!

Agree with Ponty...unless the event is huge the on-site car park is usually adequate. They moved the Boat Show about 6 years ago so my information may not be up to date but there was a huge open air car park in Seagrave Road (plus some on street parking) behind the West Brompton Road Entrance. Worth Googling to see if it's still there - it used to be about a quarter of the price of the Earls Court 2 car park.

Thanks for that - I've only met him once when he was in one of the hospitality suites & spoke after the match....I still have the bits I videoed on a phone that's three replacements old. Strikes me as being genuinely easy to talk to & interested in the questions although he probably gets asked most of them hundreds of times.
