That's not THAT bad a shout to be honest!

On the way / just got home from the game thread...

Agreed, Harding got forward really well. Seemed p****d off getting subbed from what I could see (albeit a fair distance away?). Certainly one of his better games for us. -
On the basis that Fonte cost us just over £1m ( I think?), surely we can get someone of the right quality for say £2m? Was talking about this yesterday and surely there's got to be enough cash available after the Chamberlain deal to cover that?
-
You get a lot of stick on here, but I make you right. Two games on the trot he's been skinned. Not sure if Butterfield is the answer either
-
Love watching the lad play, absolute class, but I keep banging on that he often takes one touch too many, tries to beat his man for the 2nd or 3rd time, when he needs to be more direct - have that shot, put in an early cross or pass.

And I thought Fox looked excellent full stop. Ok he came on when the game was going our way, but the crosses he put over were absolutely spot on every time. -

I usually really rate your opinion and analysis of games but, Fonte and Seaborne both with an "8"? Lambert with an "8 out of 10"? Can't agree with those calls at all I'm afraid. And Richardson was so poor we had to move possibly our best player out of position when he was taken off at half time, shows you what Adkins thought of his performance. -

More of a question than an opinion, but are either of our right-backs up to being top quality Championship players? -
Still can't find where this statement was published/actually came from - link anyone?

I'm not one to have a go at refs, they get more than enough stick these days, but that was a shocking decision. I actually thought a free kick was being given, not a goal.
-
Yes we were excellent 2nd half - but we were already 3-1 down at the point (albeit a shocking decision from the ref for their third). They had the pace and power that we lack and our defence really struggled, Richardson got skinned, Fonte struggled (think he has a bit all season personally and doesn't quite deserve all the plaudits he gets). I thought Harding had an excellent game and I'm not his biggest fan. We need a top class centre back, spend £2million plus if we need to. 2nd half we were excellent. Jack Cork managed to drive us on even from the right back position and thought Fox was very good as well, how many top draw crosses did he put in? Now to moan about 3 players who have been excellent for us. Lambert - definite off day, looked slow, offered little, generally struggled. Connolly - gave the ball away at key times too often. Lallana - yes Lallana. Love the lad and have been his biggest fan for years, but he seriously needs to learn to be more direct at times, especially around the 18 yard box. Does he need that extra touch? Beat that man again after doing him twice already? Play that clever flick instead of the simple ball. I love watching him play, but he could get even better by playing the first time cross/shot/pass whatever, we're slow enough at times as it is, without constantly cutting back and over-playing. I can see us being an "arsenal of the championship" - lauded for our fluent football, but not direct enough to top the table, whereas teams with possibly less outright footballing ability such as Leicester steam to top. Hope not and I hope Adkins learnt where needs tweaking. Cracking support from ours today, good noise and numbers. Good to see Leicester's support is made up of the same old bell ends as normal, cringeworthy "poznan" and that "tune" with the drummer, thank f**k we never do that!

Where was this statement published? Can't find it in any of the obvious places, Echo, Official Site etc.
-
Partly true, but some of Adkins statements about players coming in can't have helped much. We do seem to miss a fair few off with our transfer behaviour - can't decide if that's a good thing or not though!
-
Yeah you'd never have thought Millwall might have kicked off would you, they're not really known for it and didn't give any hints with their behaviour during the game......
-
Ha ha, what a laughable statement! Good to see the club and police covering each others backs, exactly what one would expect!
-
That's quality, very decent numbers sold.
-
Where did you hear that? Thought I'd heard elsewhere we around the 2k mark?
-
Warnock really that bad? Can think of much worse people in football. Been a few of these stories now - there is a fine line between being tough to get the best deal for Saints and p****g off people you're trying to do business with or attract to the club.

There isn't a terrace there.
-
Thought that might have been the case, wouldn't particularly expect them to offer any refund, but worth checking.

Anyone know if it is possible to move Season tickets during the season? And if the move is to a cheaper part of the ground, can any kind of pro-rata saving be acheived?
-
Right, well please explain to the rest of us, why there was a massive difference in the policing for the Leeds and Millwall games, why the Northam was as under-policed as I have ever seen it, why the Northam car park wasn't closed off as it is for anyone who has remotely lively away support, why after Millwall played up in the ground were not contingent measures in place for them to do the same when they came out of the ground, why all this was the case for the visit of a club that probably has the worst reputation for football trouble ever? Tell us the reasoning behind it? As the only one I can see is a change of loads of arrests, banning orders etc in the future, figures will look impressive and help guarantee next year's funding. If it never kicked off it would be hard for police to continue to justify their vast budgets and resources.

Do you know what is happening with the SOuth East Trains enquiry, as they're not getting back to me?
-
Cheers. Guessed it might have been that.

Not sure if I've missed any mention of it on here (can't see anything), but anyone know what was up with Lallana? Definitely didn't look his usual self yesterday.
