You can get a decent seat at Fulham, as a new buyer for £379, a team playing pretty much full of internationals. Much easier and smoother process for buying them as well (have a play around on their website and you will see how embarrasingly bad ours is). This is in response to the earlier poster that suggested that those with cheap tickets didn't have "multi-million £ players" - proves that point wrong. I don't massively mind paying what we're being charged at Saints, I know it could be worse, but lets not prented we're getting any great deals here either, the problem with telling people that we have to pay for success is there'll be some unhappy people if that expected succes doesn't materialise.

Adult season tickets for the Premier League watching a team full of internationals for £379. Do I need to actually explain that in any more detail for you?
-
Some do. What about someone like Fulham? Going off on a tangent now anyway.

Insane requirements for staggered ST payments

Why do people bother replying to such posts, just ignore them. -
I'm a bit torn on this, as I realise the club need to keep some control over their ticket sales, however if you want to get around this there are some fairly easy and obvious ways, plus it really punishes those who live away from Southampton, hopefully there won't be too long a queue before the Leeds game of people trying to pick up theirs.
-
And pretty easy to get around if you want to, so what's the point? If people want to buy tickets in another age bracket, its not that hard for them to get someone else's ID to do it.

I know next to f**k all about how direct debits etc work, but how will this make too much difference in stop people ripping off the club if they so choose? -

The way our club go about doing some of the smaller/simpler things these days really does make me chuckle, f*****g odd at times. -

What I've been saying for ages on here, the club really aren't @rsed about shifting season tickets and will do the minimum to encourage them being shifted, don't know why this sort of thing surprises people anymore. -
Fans are free (within reason) to do and behave however they want at matches, they pay their money they can do what they want. However, it stirkes many fans as strange that some go to a fair bit of effort to travel to games only to show minimal amounts of excitement or passion for actually supporting their team, sitting there glum faced and emotionless, like they've only gone along because they absolutely have to. What got me hooked to going to football as a kid was the noise and atmosphere, loud support, its one of the things that makes football different to rugby or cricket etc. Doesn't mean you have to join in with every song (I think the Lallana one is stupid as well and give it a wide berth), doesn't mean you can't make an effort at getting vocally behind the team.
-
But that's the whole point - they don't "support". If you just want to watch a game of football, stay at home and watch the Prem match on sky or don't bother travelling all the way up north, just go and watch Eastleigh or Totton if you just fancy watching a game of football.

Same old argument that has been going on for probably a year now. The club aren't really bothered about shifting season tickets at all, I thought that was clear a long time ago?

What is a humorous thread in your eyes is a load of boring old cr@p to others. I'd much rather this site was "dying" and had much less posted on it, on the basis that it got rid of a lot of the pointless rubbish and kept to interesting/informative stuff that was actually worth looking at and reading properly. There are a million and one other places you can go on the net if you want banter, or to post "amusing" rubbish.

Best & Worst pubs of 10/11 season?

Was far too busy. -
London saints have a facebook page. Not sure how many (if any) really use it, but it might be worth chucking a message on there.
-
No. Are you the most boring poster on here? Well over 20,000 posts, yet you hardly go and watch Saints. You need to get a life pal.

All booked up, six night trip. St Gallen game should be good, hopefully a decent standard and they put out their first team (or close to it). Their ground looks good, makes a change to some of the places I've seen Saints play in Norway and Sweden over the years!
-
All quite correct. But the point is, why bother to increase capacity if you then have to lower ticket prices to fill it, therefore not earning so much more income after all the additional costs are taken on board.
-
As much as people like a moan about the changing demographics of football supporters, Prawn Sandwich Brigade etc, to say "its all about middle class families" is an absolute myth. Look around you in the Northam, Kingsland North, Itchen North etc, it really hasn't changed that much, certainly not at our level. The post was correct, our "catchment area" covers a lot of rural areas that can definitely not be described as footballing areas in the same way as Sunderland's can.

No-one is saying that we wouldn't necesarrily average over 30k for such a season. But the point is we need to be doing a lot more than just averaging over 30k to justify the cost and risk of major construction works to expand and/or rebuild the ground. To make it worthwhile, the club would need to be confident of averaging 40k+ and there is currently very little precedent for that ever being the case. Even the biggest games at St Marys when we were in the Prem, anyone who really wanted a ticket could get one, it was never too much hassle. Just because "noises" are coming from the club that its something they might be interested in does not mean it is actually going to happen.
-
Surprised it's as late at 1pm and they haven't moved the away game to a Sunday.
-
Of course, none of us "know", but how likely do you think it is that the bit I have highlighted will actually happen?
-
Yet another case of Saints not really bothering to communicate basic bits of information to their supporters. Strange to say the least.

Any of you geeks know when they confirm they confirm the first few months of sky games for the Championship?
