Oldham away - being part of a small band of travelling Saints support, midweek in January in a northern s***hole and seeing a performance like that. As others have stated Brighton away and MK Dons at home also well worth a mention, plus Plymouth away and Walsall at home all obvious choices.
-
One of my favourite meals going - double sausage and egg muffin, hash brown, orange juice, particularly popular either on a Saturday morning on the way to a northern away game or the early-ish hours on a Sunday coming home from a proper night out.

Not really - its costing him half of what you're paying to go London - Barnsley and there's no first class Sheffield to Barnsley!
-
No mention how Lallana played?

This. I work in Shoreditch and you'd be hard-pressed to spot a fat/badly dressed/ugly/chav bird during the week up here, nothing but stunners when I go out for my lunchtime walk/perv.

Well if not starting side, I think we can at least be fairly confident in assuming he will be involved. Could have probably guessed that anyway, bit it is "news" as oppossed to him saying "not ready yet" etc.

Looks like de Ridder will be playing according to his Twitter.

Some nice comments from the German Media!

So you're not in the process anymore and are stuck with Ecclestone long-term? -
We will finish 7th. You heard it here first!

Wow, they must be really clued up on their football, no-one else had seen that coming.
-
I don't rate their support at all (particularly at home), think if they struggle this year their crowds could really drop.

One of the best/most catchy football songs in a long time!

And he is perfectly adequate for a third choice keeper. Probably a bit over-paid for a squad player, but he's not unique on the footballing world in that respect.

Overall I am happy with the way the club is being run. However, although I'm personally not too bothered by any "marketing" or lack of it, it certainly shouldn't be the case that fans can't criticise the club or the way its run, just because we've had a touch of success on the pitch. Being happy with one's football club is a lot more than simply success on the pitch - you ask a lot of long standing Man Utd or Chelsea fans for example that have became very disenfranchised with what their clubs have now become, the way they are made to feel like nothing more than cash-cows and that their club no longer belongs to them. We're obviously still a long way off that ourselves, but I do hope that the price of success on the pitch doesn't manifest itself in the treatment of fans seen at many other successful clubs.

Exactly. It's not something I particularly lose sleep over, but we don't know who owns us and it is quite a unique situation. Who is the overall decision maker? If all league club owners were to be put through a fit and proper person test tomorrow, who would be put up for it by Saints?
-
Exactly. And what is appropriate for a lower League 2 side isn't really applicable to a team pushing towards the top of the Championship. Surely it could have been worked, so that each division voted seperately, wouldn't have been too much effort and would have made the vote a lote fairer and more relevant.
-
I think yes. If we have a nearly fully fit squad its going to take some very skillful man-management to keep players that will see themselves as first team/first choice, happy with either a place on the bench or in many cases not even making the match day squad. There are obviously much worse problems that a football club can have, but keeping a squad happy is important throughout a season and I think this might be a struggle (see Man City and similar situations).
-
Exactly. While it may be difficult to have too much sympathy with fugures such as Winehouse, no-one wakes up one morning and thinks to them themselves - "I know what would be a laugh, why don't I get hooked on alcohol, crack cocaine and heroin". I'd have a bit of sympathy for anyone who struggled so much with whatever their life may be, that they felt the need to cope with it in such a way.
-
Yeah, I've thought this. If we have a close to fully fit squad, its definitely going to cause problems.
-
Decent. Seen pics from St Marys and definitely very "Brazilian".
-
Yeah of course you haven't heard of her........................
-
Guess that makes a bit of sense and looking through the sides from today and the Switzerland games, its trying a different combination/partnership each time. Guess its still more about match fitness than anything else at the moment.

Hard to do it completely quietly.

Any one of the bright sparks on here work out the logic used by Adkins re the teams chosen for each game? Neither seems entirely the first or second choice? Just a random mix, with the team against Werder working out a bit stronger?
