I find it hilarious to be honest. Barely a week used to pass by last season without him popping up in some French media outlet telling the world how he was looking forward to his next challenge and wasn't going to be watching tv on a Wednesday night anymore (i.e. Off to Champions League). There was contact on the attacking player from the defender. You're then just down to interpretation of the vent and the referee and linesman on the spot have as good an interpretation as anyone. The fact that plenty of pundits have said it was a pen shows there is doubt, therefore the decision would stand and would take ages to deliberate over.
