  1. Burley will probably leave him on the bench for most of the season, and bring him on in a few games in the 90th minute to play at LB
  2. very good player but made of glass
  3. Which is precisely the approach you took with George Burley, when the forum was criticising his methods.
  4. I can't remember who was responsible for that hilarious quote but it's been my location for a while now
  5. Quite, I saw one the other day go past as I was walking into the office. Felt queasy for at least a couple of hours afterwards
  6. not to mention the press release just after they won the court case which stated something like "Chainrai was unsure" about buying the club
  7. Doubt it If that was the case he'd have taken them over by now and would be providing funding to strengthen the squad. The press reports that say he's apparently going to take over in a few weeks (once the transfer window is shut) speaks volumes to me if true
  8. No it doesn't because a lot of students don't do it. (Don't get me wrong there are also a lot that do) Unfortunately there are too many who **** their budget on drink and parties and get mummy and daddy to bail them out, whilst avoiding paying any tax. Besides attending a few 1-2 hr lectures each week is no substitute for work. Especially when it's on 'degrees' like Golf course design or Wine studies. You can read about certain subjects all you like, nothing is equivalent to hands-on experience. I know someone who went to a job interview recently, she said she had a degree, her interviewer said "doesn't everyone". Sums it up. as for having to do your own cleaning and getting to places on time I've had to do that before I was even a teenager.
  9. Shame you didn't get the HMRC vs Pompey case
  10. Certainly not true with a couple of blokes i know who have recently come out of college. I actually did my mate's mock A2 Psychology paper with no knowledge of psychology at all and got a B. All you had to do was remember a load of study summaries, write in a certain way and that was it.
  11. Yep it's all about one's word against the other. She's ended up with a split lip so at the end of the day he has assaulted her, even if he was provoked. Doesn't matter who started it, it's all about evidence. That's why you'll never see any straight policeman/anyone trained in self defence hit anyone back if attacked, they will merely stop their attacker from attacking. It's only extreme cases where you can get away with defending yourself by attacking someone
  12. If this is true then surely the ban should be lifted very soon
  13. No it hasn't. The sale of Boateng has merely put the figure up to around £9m, which was what The News was claiming would happen if KPB was sold Assuming The News is even correct about the transfer figure being revised from £15m, you still need to get to £12m So far you've sold KPB - 5m Belhadj - 3.5m Diop - £250,000 Am I missing something or has pfc been taking financial management lessons from Peter Storrie?
  14. Edgar Davids is rumoured to be in talks with Palace. That's great til Burley leaves him on the bench all season and brings him on occasionally to play at LB
  15. A few people have mentioned Brett Pittman According to Sky sources Blackpool have made a bid for him. .
  16. That looks nearly as bad as a Fiat Multipla
  17. So money could be made, legally or not
  18. Since leaving office, Blair has apparently been earning £5 million a year.
  19. They said they weren't going to appeal at that time, and weren't going too until they had looked at all the facts. Can someone translate the rest?
  20. why on earth would the amount be allowed to go down? and if it has then could this cause HMRC to appeal the appeal?
  21. Either this and/or printing the tribute thread out and having it put up on the St Mary's outer wall would be a great idea so long as the family approved
  22. LOL you seem to have a lot of faith in Andronikou that the CVA he produced was accurate. The fun will re-commence when Chainrai takes over in a few weeks (a few weeks because the transfer window will be over by then), keeps the club on a virtual life support machine and eventually put what's left of the parachute payments and TV money in his back pocket. You have only one owner on the horizon and he is an asset stripper. Anyone else appears to have only been around when AA has said so around the times of court cases, funnily enough. As for points deductions, Mandaric, Redknapp and Storrie haven't been cleared of cheating the taxman yet. As for The News they churn out whatever AA or Storrie have wants them to churn out, the £8m appears to be dependant on selling KPB for anywhere around £5m
  23. A pheasant
  24. Er we paid our taxes and didn't cheat charities and local schools out of thousands of pounds. Also we haven't had a bunch of money launderers and corrupt arms dealers running our club. And if you honestly think you've "got away with it" whilst your still running up unsustainable debts and the only buyer on the horizon is a vulture then I have a lot of sympathy for you
