No need for the digs son, you think Boruc is the answer? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eToC-xY9_CY Letting balls bounce in his 6 yard box? You don't think he could have done better for Spurs second? when he was caught in no man's land and got his angles so wrong that Defoe's shot didn't even head anywhere near the corner of the net? I'll repeat what I said earlier in the thread, our defence has only conceded 5 in our last 5 games since Gazza has come into the side (it was 11 in the 4 games before that) and Gazza has gifted some of those himself. Yes, he needs to eliminate those mistakes and fast. No one is saying otherwise, and if we had a reliable replacement on the bench he should be dropped, but from what we've seen we don't. But the defence looks as settled as it's ever been and I don't think bringing in someone with Boruc's personality (see his previous antics at Celtic and being the subject of an internal disciplinary investigation in only his 2nd game here) will do any good, especially when his previous 2 performances have been no better than Gazzaniga generally IMO. Boruc should be our number one easily, but I'm afraid there's a good reason why he's not even making the bench at the moment. No one knows the precise story but you don't have to have been a D.I. for 20 years to know it isn't just down to him being a few pounds overweight, and personally I'd trust NA's judgement over yours any day of the week.

Which Gazzaniga hasn't, so I don't really know what point you are trying to make. That's apart from going on and on about how rubbish you think Gazzaniga is, conveniently forgetting that our other two keepers shouldn't be anywhere near the first team either. There's a reason why Gazzaniga is our number one keeper, even with his mistakes. Davis and Boruc have so far been complete liabilities and Gazzaniga is the least poor of the 3.
-
Because he's been slow, overweight, indecisive and is rumoured to have an attitude problem. It's the last thing we need in our situation when we are battling for survival, especially when our defence has shown so much improvement in the last 5 games. In all games in October we conceded 11 goals in 4 games, this month we have conceded 5 goals in 5 games. Sure there have been other factors as well but the improvement started just after Boruc was dropped/KD had his chance in the league cup game, and Gazza became our number one. The defence has started to settle with Gazzaniga in goal, EVEN WITH Gazzaniga's mistakes directly costing us goals. Over the last month we've conceded far less goals than we have earlier in the season, and changing the goalkeeper now for either Boruc (see first sentence of this post) or Davis (been found out yet again at this level) will only cause more problems IMO. All 3 of our keepers aren't good enough at the moment, but there's only one that's showing any kind of promise.

Gazzaniga has made mistakes and he needs to learn from them and fast. I simply cannot believe how many people think that Davis will be any better, when he's already proven twice over he isn't anywhere near good enough for the PL, and has made basic errors himself. As for Boruc, unless the goalkeeping coaches can work wonders with him and he loses weight, he certainly doesn't deserve to replace Gazza either because he hasn't been any better.

Oh dear Mr Vettel might not be champion after all.

James Allen thinks that before the green light there was a marshall waving a green flag somewhere, implying Vettel will be ok. Can't see it myself though in the video http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/20531638 -
The goal against Arsenal when Gervinho waited for KD to come out and cover his near post and he never came, so he said thanks very much and slammed it in the near post, only for KD to fall backwards on to his arse. Not to mention 2 awful misses by Man U/Man City when KD created wonderful attacking opportunities for them single handedly with his awful distribution. KD is simply not good enough. He's already been dropped twice in his career for a rookie goalkeeper at PL level and there is a good reason for it. We cannot make the same mistake a third time
-
Neither should Davis or Boruc. That's the problem. Unless they can work miracles with Boruc and get him back in shape then we need another keeper in January. Currently all 3 keepers aren't good enough.

Don't forget Mayuka will almost certainly be off to the African Cup of Nations at this time. We may well need Lee as an impact sub or even a starter should Puncheon get injured.
-
Rodriguez was offside because the referee/linesman said he was. Hence why the goal was disallowed. HTH

It depends on the extent of interference, but if there was any I don't believe the chairman's office was the right place to look.

Great result and we're starting to hit some form, but a long way to go. I think 'arry will keep QPR up so we need to keep this going. We can definitely beat Norwich, especially if Ruddy is out

and if the 9k a day fees are true, according to my calculations that defeat comes just as the administrators fees hit the 2.5 million mark

I hope this takeover takes as long as possible just so long as it means Whittingham remains in charge. Especially as it seems he's been going to the Steve Cotterill school of post match interviews

It's such a huge mess. You'd have thought the Israelis would have learnt by now that even with all their airstrikes, military incursions and their routine violations of international law their not only not stopping the Palestinian rockets but the rockets are getting more advanced and more plentiful. They still don't seem to get that killing 10 militants breeds 20 more. You put a fire out with water, not petrol.

I can't believe the amount of people on here wanting KD back in goal. I'm afraid there is a very good reason why he's not once, but twice been dropped for a rookie goalkeeper at PL level in his career. (Gazzaniga for us and Alnwick at Sunderland) He always has been a very good championship level goalkeeper and at that level and below he's able to largely hide his weaknesses. Superb shot stopper but his distribution and command of his area are nowhere near good enough. The PL is ruthless and we're facing quality week in week out, and again KD's been completely found out in these departments. A couple of soft goals and KD's confidence just goes and sadly I think mentally he knows he simply isn't good enough for the PL, especially now at 36. So far our keepers have been, Gazzaniga - unconvincing but has a lot of potential Boruc - should be our number 1 but has so far been slow, overweight and gaffe prone KD - hate to say it but a complete liability at PL level IMO Gazzaniga has been the best keeper so far but it's more down to the fact that Boruc and Davis have been so poor rather than he's been so good. He's made mistakes but the lad can only learn from them. All 3 keepers have been chucked in the deep end and it's quite significant IMO that a 20 year old has coped better than 2 other keepers significantly more experienced than him.

Just from watching the MOTD highlights you can see how well we played. Puncheon was brilliant in his decisiveness and directness, he could have had a hat trick. You can tell the coaches have been working on him. Yes, Gazzaniga was in no man's land for their goal but I thought the fact that Hoilett had a free, unchallenged header with no defender within two yards was a bigger issue. Gazza also made a good save at his near post from Taarabt in the first half, but his handling was suspect. We should stick with him though, just needs a bit of work on the training pitch. Davis is sadly a lost cause at this level and Boruc hasn't been anywhere near good enough to make him a necessary change. Hansen was raving about our interplay and build up play and we got better as the game went on. Newcastle lost at home to Swansea today so can we beat them? Oh yes. We have some seriously winnable games coming up.

TBF if you put a cork in anything it's bound to stop something

problem is Boruc and Davis have been worse

He was one of the most evil men in history but he was one hell of a public speaker. You can see why the Nazis became such a powerful force.

I believe a period of administration has to be automatically approved by a court to carry on beyond a year, so the league would have to class this as the same admin otherwise it makes their rule of not being able to start a second season in admin a complete irrelevance.
