  1. Well if you do I don't think you'll find yourself in hot water
  2. I watched Mayuka play in the 2012 African cup of nations and he was absolutely brilliant for the whole tournament. He tore sides apart with his pace, was creative, he had vision, he produced an absolutely wonderful overhead kick to set up one of Zambia's goals and he could finish. He was one reason why Zambia were surprise winners of that tournament and his performances were leagues above what Puncheon has done for us this season. I was delighted when we signed him and am puzzled why he hasn't had more game time.
  3. Gazza - 6 yoshida - 6 Fonte - 7 Fox - 4 Clyne - 7 Morgan - 7 Ramirez - 6 Lallana - 4 Puncheon - 5 Lambert - 7 Davis - 5 Hooiveld - 1 Rodriguez - 6 Mayuka - 7 guly - 5 adkins - 4
  4. Ah well could have been worse, at least we didn't lose 2-0 to Bury *bursts out laughing* We do need to start picking up wins and fast. If we don't beat QPR Adkins has to go for me if we want to stay in this division this season.
  5. Yep. Having saw the newsnight report I recall that Messham wasn't pretty sure it was a top Tory, he was certain. McAlpine may well merely be a smokescreen to hide the ID of the real perpetrator but as someone who was in the police force for 30 years and worked with victims of abuse I've got no doubt Messham's been given a large sum that'll earn enough interest in a savings account to see he'll be ok for the rest of his life. In exchange he makes a public apology to the supposed victim of mistaken identity. Either it's abuser pays off victim or abuser pays off victim, and McAlpine to handle the spotlight to hide the real perpetrator. I'm generally not a believer in conspiracy theories but after having spent 30 years in the police I've come across things more devious than this. Obviously apart from the individuals themselves no-one will ever know for sure the true situation but in my experience this case has got all the hallmarks of a classic bung.
  6. We already have, and out of our 3 keepers he has performed the best thus far.
  7. Names that have already been linked to the permanent role at Fratton Park include Whittingham, Andy Awford, Lee Bradbury and Stuart Gray. If Awful got it that would bring this thread to a whole new level
  8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20252055 Michael Appleton: Portsmouth exit inevitable - Birch I bet it was
  9. Bill Pertwee who played Warden Hodges and the guy who played the Reverend are still alive
  10. Bibliography
  11. If you honestly think these two statements alone are true then you either need serious help or you cannot be any older than around 10 years old (ie. you cannot be old enough to remember Olivier Bernard)
  12. What has Mayuka got to do to get a game?
  13. You mean like when our promotion hopes from League 1 were "hanging from a thread"?
  14. I mentioned a Turkish defender called Servet Cetin in the HCDAJFU thread back in the summer. Experienced at 31, 59 caps for Turkey, 6ft 3ins and a big brute of a defender (incidentally his nickname means 'a man who could choke a bear') and would have been a free agent. Stick him alongside a defender with pace like Yoshida and there's a potential partnership. I think yoshida is our best CB in terms of quality, his problem is he's either been played out of position or been surrounded by chaos. I think a dominant CB next to him and our defence will improve.
  15. If we need a little amusement to pass the time we can always go back over some of Ho's classics and the drivel that he swallowed whole. *
  16. Personally I think it's got to the point where I don't really care. WE have to start winning games, that's the only thing that matters when it comes to our survival.
  17. With Ramirez back this is where there really is no excuse to not start picking up points
  18. Never attend any fireworks display where Mario Balotelli is present
  19. You're not making any point to anyone here, the only thing this post gives out is entertainment. But yeah I am surprised about this, I think Gazzaniga has been our best keeper. If there is a recall clause then it shouldn't be too much of a problem but I hope for NA's sake Boruc comes good. If Boruc continues to struggle and turns out to be no better than KD we must be able to recall Gazzaniga because otherwise this decision will be a monumental cock-up.
  20. After having watched him in the African cup of nations last year he's a class above Puncheon when on his game. I think he could turn out to be a key player for us as soon as he can get in the side.
  21. I think he's too much of a loose cannon IMO. As soon as him and Cortese disagree on anything there would be fireworks and it would only add to the mayhem. IF NA goes (and I hope he doesn't at the moment) then he'd go for a continental option with a track record for decent defences, I was about to suggest him poaching someone like Luciano Spalletti but he's recently renewed his contract.
  22. Described by a skate friend of mine as one of the worst LBs they have ever had.

    Lambert

Lambert has played 92 mins in the last two games. For a player who scored 4 goals in 5 and a bit games up until the Fulham game when he was subbed after 67 mins that isn't good enough. (Don't forget he came off the bench against Man City as well). Not to mention his exemplary record in League 1/Championship. If there has been a falling out I suspect Adkins is trying to send out the message that no one is indispensible. The problem is, RL is indispensible. I really do hope NA can turn it around but he's starting to lose the players and the fans now.
  24. In your last few posts you've called people "clueless", "a muppet" and told someone to shut up whilst adding nothing constructive to the debate yourself. Frankly i second Weston Saint.
  25. I'm also a bit puzzled as to why KD is on the bench and not Gazzaniga
