Adam Blackmore just tweeted Mane was dropped as he was late for the match today.

Exactly this. Never underestimate Northern Ireland's skill of losing to so called minnows. I'm so relieved we won All the home nations stand a chance of qualifying which has to be a good thing.

If you just have one FV you can bottle directly from that, just remember you don't want to let it get into contact with too much oxygen whilst bottling or transferring to another vessel, so ideally not too much pouring it between containers or anything like that. Oxidized beer tastes like cardboard, and that's considered an off-flavour. The only time where you actually want to introduce oxygen is just before pitching the yeast, for example with a whisk. That helps yeast growth, and a higher yeast cell count means a quicker and cleaner fermentation. You can store your FV wherever you want, as long as the temperature is right (ideally not over 20 degrees) and remains relatively stable over the course of the day.

My other half and I brew beer together, we do all grain as it is quite a bit cheaper than extract here in Germany. For starting out a kit is a good way to go, you can use plastic bottles but make sure you have cleaned them completely with a disinfectant of some kind (make sure it's not the type to leave a residue) as you don't want an infection starting in the bottle. We use glass beer bottles that we have saved up over time or have had friends give us and as long as you rinse them straight after using and then give a sanitising clean before bottling they are great for reusing. For the first time brewing make sure you start at a reasonable time as it might take a bit longer than you think. Make sure you clean everything really well before using it and clean up the same day as things can get a bit smelly if left over night. The only other thing is when you are cooling the wort before adding the yeast, make sure it gets to 20C before adding it as if it is too warm you will either cause weird flavours in the beer or kill the yeast and your batch won't ferment. If you decide you like brewing the best thing to invest in or make yourself is a wort chiller as it saves heaps of time, we made ours out of copper piping and food grade plastic tubing from the DIY shop and connect to the bath tap and instead of taking hours to cool it now takes 15 to 20 minutes. Other than that good luck and don't be worried if your first batch isn't great if you keep making beer you will improve quite quickly.

Berlin is pretty good, but I'm biased as I live there. I like Vienna and Barcelona, not too keen on Dublin. I've never been to Italy but I reckon one of the cities there would beat Berlin. In the UK, at least for now, I like Edinburgh and London is a great place to visit but there is no way I would want to live there.

My older sister was diagnosed with anorexia earlier this year. She is in her 40's and BTF is correct in that usually it is the person wanting to control something in their life. My sister lives in Northern Ireland and I live in Germany so I found it very difficult and felt like I wasn't being very helpful, also she was admitted to a psychiatric hospital where she wasn't allowed her mobile phone so I couldn't get in touch with her easily. She said recently that knowing we weren't judging her or trying to force her to eat plus helping her to take small steps has helped her a lot. She isn't fully recovered and it will take a lot more work on her part but hopefully she is on the mend. At the moment she is home and has an eating plan to follow every day. She sees a dietician and a counselor every week to see how she is doing. She also has blood tests done to check everything is OK. She is on anti depressants and other tablets due to what the anorexia has done to her. Your daughter's treatment maybe different to what my sister received as Northern Ireland is quite far behind in the way they treat eating disorders. I hope your daughter starts to get well soon

Deila confirmed as Celtic manager on Twitter so where is Moyes going to get his Champions league team now?

I do not want Magath. I spoke to a Bremen supporting friend about him and he said everyone at Bremen was glad to see the back of him. The players hated him and the fans thought he was an ars e, he sounds like he was Bremen's version of Branfoot.

What's the score? I decided a beer fest here in Berlin was a better way to spend my time than worry about an England friendly.

And obviously not bitter about it!

Where is the fan on the board?????? -
Usually only the early and late kick off premier league matches are shown in the pubs here. You could try the Kilkenny Irish Pub at Hackescher Markt (it is directly under the S bahn station) they have a few different rooms so show different matches in each room.

My sister is a bit like your wife, she has had to call for the police and ambulances a lot, twice she has witnessed people dying and has found it really upsetting one was a colleague who just collapsed the other was an older man who was walking with his wife through a park and he had a heart attack. She said only one other person stopped when the wife was screaming for help (this was in a park in the city centre of Southampton) and the other person didn't know first aid so couldn't help my sister with CPR but called the ambulance and looked after the wife. Good on your wife for stopping to help people, there are plenty of times that stuff happens and people will just walk past as they don't want to get involved or even worse is bring out the phone to film the drama. I'm sure the people she helps feel very lucky to have a helpful stranger there.

I was having this problem on my android tablet so installed Ad Blocker Plus and that seems to have done the trick for now. BTW you can't get it through Google Play so have to change your security settings to download it directly from the Ad Blocker Plus website. Hopefully it keeps working as I was getting fed up with the redirects and being told I had won an iPad Air.

Surely you mean caravan?

It's not safe on there yet, lots of Mopo out, Mopo to stay, nothing about the better story of the lowly few losing 5-1. Well done Pompey for cheering me up after Saints losing and Ireland getting beat in the rugby.

Cortese has left Southampton Football Club - Officially Confirmed
NI Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Can we stop quoting what Pastor what's his face says, I have him on ignore and quoting him is making me realise again that he is some neck bearded idiot sat at home getting off in his manky y-fronts by insulting others. Good luck to NC and KL, the club will still be there whatever happens, surely that lot down the road proves that much at least! -
Berlin, Germany. I stream the matches or madly refresh the match thread and BBC. Saints are never on in the pubs here unless they are playing a top 4 team or united and as long as there are no Bundesliga matches on at the same time.

Are you employed by a British company on a British contract or by a German company on a German contract? If it is a German contract do you not have a probation period (Probezeit) of 6 months which allows you to leave with only a little bit of notice period, usually 2 weeks to 1 month? If you do walk out make sure you un-register with the Bürgeramt and Krankenkasse if you have registered with them, you can do this from the UK but it can cause issues if you don't. Can I ask where in Germany you are? As someone who has lived in Germany for 3 years I can tell you it takes a while to get use to the locals and if you don't speak German and happen to be in the back ar se of nowhere then it will be very hard as an Ausländer to get by here. As for changing jobs and countries for someone you have known for 4 months well that is a lot of giving up on your behalf for something that has only just started but if you think it is worth it then go for it.

Here is the article http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/10915250.Yeovil_date_gets_Saints_midfielder_buzzing/?ref=twtrec he returned to training last week after a knee injury. It would be good if he was fit in time for the FA Cup game as I doubt he will get much more of a chance this season, barring another injury crisis, with the number of midfielders we have.

Vincent Tan tells Malky Mackay to resign - or he'll be sacked
NI Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Mackay is a good manager for a team like cardiff, Tan is the best example of everything that is wrong with having owners with no football experience or idea about the game and someone who uses a football club as his play thing. Cortese might not be everyone's cup of tea but I would take him over Tan any day. -
