not enough!

Terrific result today - the bus rolls on! Huddersfield don't know when to give up do they - I think they will by Monday at 5pm!
-
Will it be a weekend day? I'll get the bus in and have a couple of beers with you...wearing the sash?
-
You would mind if you lived closer to Hull - afternoon fellow Yorkshire based fans! Going down for Walsall - anyone else going down for the weekend?

One hell of a night at Orient and the previous Saturday at Luton. I recall the wall going after the match due to the number of people trying to get on the pitch. There was definitely no one trying to get on the pitch to chase Spurs fans off! Our coach had windows done at Luton at a brick thru the windscreen on leaving Leyton. Still that didn't matter - more time in the pub whilst a replacement coach disptached. It was the start of the glory years when Saints played football, attracted some great players and established themselves on a shoe string. Then we went public - plc and shares issues. Someone sold out and made loads of money. The rest is history. We've got a club back on the verge of something extremely exciting - back to back promotions (like Norwich) would be truly fantastic. But we have a 5-year plan - let's not spoil it!

Kelvin deserves a big shout - "Watch your near post!". But for his outstanding contribution this season Lambert is a good shout...I guess it's between 4-of them: Lambert, Davis, Fonte & Lallana My vote would be for Kelvin - clean sheets are not easy at any level...well done Kelvin one great effort!
-
Well done all - and the crowd 24,200 on a Bank Holiday Monday - tremendous! Great defence but when we have let people in we have looked unsure...Rochdale anyone?
-
We are going up I said we are going up! Fantastic weekend - results and weather... The only way is up and another clean sheet... FANTASTIC!
-
So happy - I can go out tonight relaxed and enjoy myself. Connolly is always going to make an impact - and Fonte winner just icing on the cake! Huddersfield will be gutted - just as they think they put us under pressure we pull out a result like that. Big game Monday afternoon - and hopefully another 3-points. COYS!!!

Strange how the game creates such division amongst the fans...and as far as the players go it's just another game. As for being professional I can't believe that Saints will not be out playing for the win. The Brighton players will have one eye on trying to get one over on us - however I think that will make them exposed at the back. The game plan will be to take the game by the scruff of the neck. Our passing needs to be spot on - and we must not let them have the run of the ball. As far as the fans go - it is really a joke that the place can generate any atmosphere at all. Hopefully both Managers will deliver a speech of their careers and the fans will be in for a treat. The only thing that can spoil it will be the officials! The results on Friday night will determine if the pressure gets to Saints - and how they line up. I think if Huddersfield win it might be better for us as we will go out knowing we HAVE to win. I can't understand all this business about the game in hand - let's just win the points and worry about the game in hand when it happens. Anyway for the last time from me - well done Brighton - but that home record is waiting to be broken, and we could just be the team to undo the lock!

Saints 1 V 0 Bristol Rovers, post match sighs of relief..

Well I think we got out of jail today - but that's how it goes sometimes. Just as well with the other results going the way they did! Onwards to Brighton - one game at a time. Really concerned about our mentality for next week, especially if Huddersfield and Peterborough win on Friday. I really believe it could be a make or break weekend with two critical games in 3-days... This is when the squad needs to be focussed and in the groove - prepared for anything Brighton can throw at us and deal with it... The facts are win all our games and nothing else matters - so just go there in a positive state of mind, and grind out the result! More twists and turns to come - it's ours to lose...I just hope not! -
Get the **** in!

Going for a lucky slash...let's hope it does the trick!

Strange how anyone can talk about losing in the same breath as winning - but that's football. As I see tomorrow nights game is an opportunity for us to cement our position in 2nd place - or miss out on doing so! Rochdale will fancy another home win plus they've already beaten us at SMS! There are no gimmes in this league - heart and endeavour with a big slice of luck will be required to get anything. I'm sure there will be a big away following - especially as we are in a current rich vein of form with some decent results. Maybe not the 3,200+ seen at Orient - but I would guess anything around 1,000 would be a great turn out. I've never been to Rochdale so it's a new one for me - I usually have a good record at new grounds so let's hope it is an omen! Some places just don't sit well with me Old Trafford and Tranmere are two I distinctly dislike...but it has to be done! Whatever the outcome - score, bookings/sendings off, injuries etc - remember it is only one of our games in hand! No need for suicidal posts for the next 3-days before Bristol Rovers or calling for Adkins',Barnard's or Jaidi's (insert name here) head. It's a team game and we are now acknowledged as the 12th man - so make it count. One game at a time and it's costing me more than a dime... See you mongs in the away end or The Church Inn to give them 110% BACKING TO THE END!

I have been tracking our form since the New Year...and estimated we would need an average of 2-points per game. I think we would end up on 84-points and I think that would be enough - with 7-games left and 21-points available I think we will easily achieve the avarage of 2-points and secure more than the 84-points originally estimated. Not sure we can win all our remaining games - but should be able to go undefeated until the end of the season. Although Brighton will be a tough game - we like night games in the north...Rochdale will be a tough test (just like Oldham was just across the M62). A draw would not be a disaster - neither Peterborough or Huddersfield are playing on Tuesday night... time to put some real distance between us and the pretenders!
-
What a great day - a fantastic result for the travelling faithful - see you at Rochdale to continue our march to The Championship!

I expect I could apply by e-mail - but I guess they'd suss me out "sfcyorkie@"!!!!!!!

Strange feelings about tomorrow's game. The problem is we played some nice stuff but lacked a cutting edge for the first 20-mins on Saturday but still managed to get it right in the end. I really believe if we get one early goal we will hit plenty. Charlton are no mugs - but are a team low on confidence. Sure they have BWP who will do his best to spoil the party - but he did that last time! Confident that we will amass another 3-points, continue this rich vein of form and finish the night 2-points behind Huddersfield (who aren't playing) with 2-games in hand. A draw is not a disaster but if we really want it - a draw is a poor excuse of a performance! Allowing for officials to be at their usual diabolical standard is something we can't allow for - perhaps Rickie & Barney will get a bit of joy and get a free kick or two. They seem to get kicked about week in and week out with very little protection. Saying all that an 89th minute dodgey penalty to us to win 1-0 would do me...but not sure about my nerves being able to cope with that!

Held off saying anything until now. I thought Kelvin's kicking and throwing were the best I have seen for ages. Also thought Harding and Butterfield did really well but the delivery seemed awry or there was no one there. Too many crosses too close to their keeper. Not sure about the diamond formation as Guly clearly doesn't understand what he needs to do. Lambert - sure he didn't score and some of the passing to him was a little optimistic! What does he (and Barnard) have to do to win a free-kick? Chappers doesn't seem to be able to work the diamond either - he spends too much time chasing the ball and losing the midfield to opponents. Hammonds petulence cost him a silly booking - but only after the MKDons player asked the ref to book him for kicking it out! Talking after the game - some thought Kelvin had the free kick that hit the bar covered? Personally I thought Fonte should have been penalised and they should have had a penalty before the end...and then a handball for the melay afterwards. Got to say all emotions covered - but the elation at the final whistle made the 500-mile round trip worth it again... Although it may be premature to start singing "we are going up" with 9-games left - it did feel fantsatic!
-
Held off passing more comment - but what a load of moaning minnies we have on here! Firstly Adkins acknowledged the support was fantastic again. He does dodge the questions - perhaps we need more cover temporarily but he is probably working very hard behind the scenes. The injuries will affect any side - and yes we aren't good enough in many peoples eyes. However you have chosen Saints as your team - now ****ing support them in their time of need!
-
I remember both Luton & Orient games - went o a coach out of the old Saints Supporters Social Club on both trips. Both coahes had windows put in...Luton wasn't particularly nice - but Orient was great with Tony Funnel equalising making sure we went up! Quite right a wall did collapse at the ned trying to hold back the 10,000 trying to get on the pitch. Spurs fans did a runner - and we had to spend the evening in a pub by some barracks waiting for a replacement coach - great times!
-
Coming down for MK Dons and Walsall - Rochdale away is on too! So not A SUPER FAN but every little helps!
-
Twice! A screamer from 25-yards and a tap in on 92 mins. Could he do a job for us?
-
Good win - perhaps we should look no further than the next game at Charlton. We can't do anything about Donkey's or Posh on Monday night - but come Tuesday we should go out all guns blazing - Charlton are in a woeful run of form... Let's hope we can gather 6-points from Charlton before they turn it around! Getting to the business end of the season - let's close the deal and win promotion!
-
I thought Brian Stock would be a good call?
