  1. So then are you saying that Alpine might be correct ?
  2. It would not surprise me one tiny bit that IF Mr Storrie is found guilty the FL will ignore it somehow and no points will be deducted.
  3. As some of you "hate" him and he got trashed surely it was a good match to watch ? .
  4. Happens a lot over here in NZ as well. Nearly three-quarters of drivers have had their car damaged while it was parked, but most people who cause damage don't own up to it, the AA Insurance survey said. The survey of 4336 drivers showed more than 70 percent of drivers had such damage caused, mostly during November in the lead-up to Christmas. But 91 percent of those who had their car damaged while parked found no contact details from the culprit when they returned. "This year we have received an average of 377 claims per month from customers whose cars were damaged while parked, and in most cases the person who caused the damage did not leave their details," AA Insurance deputy general manager Martin Fox said. The survey said 33 percent of such incidents happened at supermarkets, while 18 percent happened at shopping centres. 5. Yes but if he had not done so she would have taken him to Court and he would have been made to pay a lot lot more. I think that he should look at sueing his lawyer of ten years ago as it looks like they stuffed up and didn't eneter the clause "full and final settlement". If they had thise greedy woman would have got sod all, just like she deserved IMHO. Mind you over here even when both parties agree to a full and final settlement it is common for the one given the money to go back later claiming more as it was not really a full and final settlement as they think they deserve more money. It is also amazing how many upset feelings are suddenly cured by the offer of more money. Some, who know where I live, will understand straight away whom I am talking about .
  6. To me it seemed like Martinex wasn't even looking at Williams when he through that punch "The astonishing KO came during the second round of WBC middleweight championship re-match between Sergio Martinez and Paul Williams. Middleweight king Martinez unleashed a crushing left hook with such force it sent Williams reeling face first into the canvas knocked out cold with a spine tingling vacant stare as he was counted out." http://nz.sports.yahoo.com/news/article/-/8371249/knockout-year .
  7. Seems to me that a lot of his goals were scored because of slack defending. Defenders in the Championship are much better than those in that link. I think that he would struggle and isn't worth signing. Sorry.
  8. Dune, I always got the idea you were fond of history as you like to quote Winstone a lot. Have you therefore forgotten that Portugal is the UK's oldest ally. They were immence help against the dastardly Spanish and French hundreds of years ago. Save Portugal !!!
  9. Thank you to the sensible posters who replied, no I will not post my letter on here. I admit that I am not the brightest but I certainly don't consider myself stupid enough to do that Anyway it was in Italian so not everyone would understand it. Ah maybe that is why I have not had a reply then, his typist couldn't understand it and to be on the safe side she just threw it away without bothering to let Mr C read it in case it upset him. I will say again that it was very polite and in no way should it have upset him. .
  10. Has anyone ever written him a polite letter and then recieved a reply? IF you have did it take very long for his responce to arrive? Please don't hijack this thread with stupid remarks, I am not trying to get yet another debate going between those who like him and those who don't. Also please remember that as this is my 3rd post today I am unable to respond for about 12 hours, Thanks.
  11. Swindon, as a replacement for Austin who will be sold in January to a Championship team.
  12. GUANGZHOU, China (AFP) - Bikini-wearing Asian Games beach volleyball cheer squads are proving too hot for some competitors who claim the scantily-clad dancers make it impossible to concentrate. "They had an effect on how we played," Yemen beach volleyballer Adeeb Mahfoudh told the Tianfu Morning News on Wednesday. "I think they had something to do with our losing the match." http://nz.sports.yahoo.com/news/article/-/8346832/bikini-clad-girls-distract-volleyball-players

  14. http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/world/8340074/fortune-tellers-warn-will-and-kate/ Which one do you believe ? Asian fortune-tellers are divining mixed blessings for Britain's Prince William and fiancee Kate Middleton. Arun Kumar Bansal, president of the All India Federation of Astrologers' Societies, saw a mostly rosy future for the second in line to the throne and his wife-to-be, who on Tuesday announced they would marry next year. "They match quite well. Together they score 24 points out of 36 on general compatibility," he told AFP after poring over the couple's astrological birth charts, which he said showed the benign influence of the planet Mercury. "She has a softer personality than him. She will agree to his demands, and be accommodating of his needs. ( Still going to get BJ's then ) They will share a good friendship. They will not fight, in public or private -- and Kate will conduct herself well in public. OR Another Hong Kong fortune-teller was less optimistic, however, saying the royal union would likely end indivorce -- condemning the couple to the same fate as William's parents Prince Charles and Princess Diana. "There will be major problems for the couple in the decade after Prince William reaches the age of 39," said Anthony Cheng, a well-known feng shui columnist and TV personality. Cheng said the 28-year-old prince would likely either suffer a serious accident or get divorced in his 40s. "One of these will happen. And if he encounters an accident, it is likely going to be fatal," Cheng said, advising the prince to avoid travel to southern or tropical locations. He further feared that Middleton would have to be a long-suffering wife if the marriage was to last. "From a Chinese geomancy perspective, Prince William has too much 'peach blossom' luck. In other words, he will have a lot of love interests in his life. He develops feelings for other women easily." The marriage would therefore depend on Middleton's tolerance level, Cheng said, explaining that the prince is "very likely going to have an affair". "The only way their marriage will last is if this girl turns a blind eye to all this," Cheng added. Time will tell
  15. Sorry about that Deano6 I have to admit that I have now lost the link but I seem to remember that a player said something that others took offence to and he replied "just saying". I will try and find it if I can. Old age is a curse sometimes you know and as this is my 3rd post I cannot post anything else for another 24 hours - sorry. Some might say Thank Goodness !!!! Oh yes and I agree with what you said and St Landrew was also as good as Ponty, even DSM was OK as well - IMHO
  16. BUT does anyone else agree with me that these new mods don't appear to be as efficent as the old ones ? IMHO they seem to lock threads just a bit soon like the Puncheon one for example ?? "Just saying", anyone who follows the NFL will hopefully understand that quote
  17. Baj, I have read that it is actually a massive comet maybe planet size "This thing was discovered with a lead time of 6-9 years .. the longest lead time before was comet hale-bopp at 2yrs this thing is at least planet-sized maybe larger ?? It is already predicted to become 0 magnitude which is easily naked-eye visible in about 6 years or so, this is conservative prediction, it will reach the negatives and may be daylight visible object .. we need to find out it's exact size but being discovered this far away it must be massive ..
  18. NASA will hold a news conference at 12:30 p.m. EST on Monday, Nov. 15, to discuss the Chandra X-ray Observatory's discovery of an exceptional object in our cosmic neighborhood. That could be Planet X returning then as predicted by many. The Earths population is doomed I tell thee, doomed :scared:
  19. I have decided after reading and watching these links, sadly confirming rumours I had heard, no way am I ever going to visit the U.S.A. again. I used to love going there, first visit was in 1971, found the people on the most part really great and my eyes were truely opened about so much  Treating people like this is terrible and as far as I am concerned it is no longer about airline passenger safety but now it has become all about getting people used to being totally controlled. "Land of the Free" ? not anymore it's not. http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/iteam&id=7774593 "Under new stringent regulations, pilots and passengers may refuse the body scanners but then undergo more extensive hand searches, including open hands frisking genital and breast areas." http://www.abc15.com/dpp/lifestyle/travel/flight-attendants-union-upset-over-new-pat-down-procedures Would YOU really want to go through this? If you say you don't mind then to me you have already become a controlled sheeple who believes everything you are told by the govt and I have great pity for you. Finally then, Heaven help your children and grandchildren because you as sure as hell won't be able too.
  20. found extending from Milky Way The unexpected discovery suggests a colossal event in our galaxy's past, releasing energy equivalent to 100,000 exploding stars. But scientists don't yet know what that event might have been. This NASA illustration depicts the twin bubbles of high-energy gamma rays protruding from the Milky Way, which are believed to be nearly as big as the galaxy itself. (NASA / November 9, 2010) Startled astronomers said Tuesday they had discovered two massive bubbles of gamma-ray energy extending 25,000 light-years above and below the plane of the Milky Way galaxy like a squat hourglass. "They're big, they're sharp-edged and they contain a lot of energy," astrophysicist Douglas Finkbeiner of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, Mass., said in a news conference. Finkbeiner led a team that used data from NASA's 2-year-old orbiting Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope to discover the bubbles hiding behind a fog of gamma rays. 22. If only my father had not given in and taken me to The Dell all those years ago. I am sure I would have become a much more balanced person than I am now. Heck I might have been nearly normal instead of flitting between being "over the moon " or "wrist slittingly depressed " all of course depending upon how Saints did. .
  23. adapting this system to TSW. We could all name a few posters who act stupid - even after drinking as well. http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/technology/8285169/web-tool-aims-to-prevent-day-after-facebook-regrets/ WASHINGTON (AFP) - A Web security company is offering a free tool designed to prevent users of social networks from posting embarrassing drunken messages online. On the premise that "Nothing good happens after 1:00 am," the tool from Colorado-based Webroot promises to "put an end to the embarrassment that follows regrettable, late-night posts." The "Social Media Sobriety Test" is a free plug-in for Firefox Web browsers. It requires a user of Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube or Tumblr to perform a coordination test before being allowed to access the service. The tests include keeping a cursor inside a moving circle or correctly identifying a series of flashing lights. If a user fails they will be blocked from using a service. Sobriety Test users can set the hours they would like the blocking tool to be in force.
  24. Please can anyone give me some help ? I have a legal copy of Office 2007 but when I try to send an e-mail using it I keep getting asked for the product key. I type in this number from the box ( It was the number I used to activate Office 18 months ago ) but it now refuses to recognise this number. Hence I have to close down and can't send an e-mail. This has just happened again as I tried to e-mail a picture from Google Earth.
