Manchester City have offered Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic a four-year deal worth £96m - or roughly £500,000 a week. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3093647/Manchester-City-are-ready-to-make-Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-a-500000-a-week-deal.html I find this very hard to believe but if it is true well I am at a loss for words.

'Dancing' Turkish man still facing assault charges NZPA August 10, 2010, 7:02 am Police say they will not drop assault charges against a Turkish man who claims he was performing a traditional dance rather than hitting, kicking and strangling his wife. Hawera man Allaetin Can made news around the world when he was charged with assault after a passerby alerted police to what appeared to be a violent fracas with his wife, Elmas. Can claims he and his wife were performing a vigorous traditional Turkish dance, called kolbasti, outside their kebab shop after a particularly profitable lunch shift. Police said they would not withdraw the charges after watching an example of the dance on a DVD given to them by Can's lawyer, the Taranaki Daily News reported today. Police prosecutor Steve Michael said while he could not discuss details of the case or the evidence, police had used the appropriate test in deciding to continue with their prosecution. "We'll put the evidence to the judge and he'll decide." The kolbasti dance involves animated moves set to fast-paced Turkish beats, and includes mimicry of hitting, kicking and headlocks. The case will be heard at Hawera District Court on August 17. http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/top-stories/7735605/dancing-turkish-man-still-facing-assault-charges/

If you hit a cyclist and do him/her great damage you will not smile, you will feel very upset even though it might be 100% their fault.

In the days between Saints losing on Saturday and the next game someone will probably have 1 Lost someone near to them due to serious illness or accident 2 Lost their job 3 Lost their house 4 Lost all hope for a decent future 5 Gone bankrupt And all some big girls can do is moan about one loss in a football match in a season with 45 games still to play. So unless Saints loss caused you any of the above, GET A GRIP for goodness sake :x. What a bunch of girls some posters are. .

With that kind of attitude you could only be a pfc fan, perhaps in your next re-incarnation you might come back as a normal human ? Probably not though as it would take at least 2 more lives before that will happen.
-
You forgot to add the bit about shafting lots of people who can't really afford to lose 80% of the money owed to them. :x

I suspect that the car park issue will be sorted very quickly with mutual consent, as for using an unlicenced agent that has been known for a while now and what has happened so far ? Sweet F.A.

How do I protect my computer
Saint in Paradise replied to Saint in Paradise's topic in Technology Chat
Thanks for that, I think even I can manage now. All I have to do is think up a strong password. -
Sorry Wes but I feel you are giving HMRC far too much credit. IMHO they have proved that their legal team is League 1 standard rather than Premier League. Oh yes and the 2 Judges are also below the standard required for such a case, both appear to me to be mesmerised by the fact they were dealing with a football team whereas they should have treated PFC like a normal company.

I am the first to admit to being very dim with computers so please be kind to me We are having people stay and look after our house and "just in case" I want to prevent any access by them to my computers, to protect them as well as me. Please would someone using an idiot proof guide tell me how to do this, will it also stop anyone plugging into a USB (?) port and making copies from the hard disks ? One computer has VISTA and the older one has XP.

IF this judge has technically gone against the law what will his position be IF the creditors end up with nothing anyway because Pompey fail to deliver the CVA ?
-
Yes but they, HMRC, would probably stuff that up as well :x

Hi St L, I have sent a P.M. to Steve Grant for you S.I.P.

I also wonder IF HMRC will actually proceed with their actions against Mr Redknapp, Mr Storie and Mr Mandaric seeing as how they were so out-thought by PFC today. IF they do carry on lets hope they use a better lawyer and go in front of a better judge as well.
-
I just wonder if the car park issue was actually made up just to help add a bit of weight to the "poor us" plea that their lawyer used.? Probably totally wrong of me I expect ???

Brings back lots of memories watching that.

I wonder what Hull, Burnley and a few others think about Pompey getting their money in advance ? Hull could have done with money during the season and in fact could still be in serious trouble as I type. I bet there are some very annoyed people just waiting to talk.

Well after catching up with this Court thing I have to say that I am Not confident that HMRC are going to win. I feel that they seem to be scoring own goals which only help the cheats. As for the opening statement from HMRC I think he should have said "This appeal is about precise figures, as well as a principle" rather than what he actually said which was "This appeal is not about precise figures,it's about principle". Well IMHO anyway, no doubt I will be shown up to being stupid by some experts on here as usual
