  2. IF in any doubt this is what she said a few years ago about a pole shift in 2003 funny must have missed that.
  3. This is what will happen if you spend too much time on your computer. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=42d_1323108150
  4. Just watched another video of this and a couple of tyres look very bald. Not a good idea especially in rain and I wonder if their insurance will be invalidated. Serve them right if it does Even more wasted money:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIjQIO5_DX8&feature=related Could anyone just rock up and take them away seeing as they aren't wanted and have been dumped? .
  5. Well you have just blown up his strategy then by posting it on here. Only joking before someone thinks I was being serious
  6. Somehow this thread reminded me of the following:- Six men were in intensive care in a north London hospital last night after a pharmaceutical company's trial went wrong. Regulatory authorities have suspended the drug trial and are investigating in collaboration with the police. The six were healthy volunteers, paid to take part in the earliest stage of human testing of a potential new medicine for inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and leukaemia. The volunteers were needed to establish whether there were any side effects or obvious problems with the drug before it was tested on people who have the conditions. http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2006/mar/15/health.medicineandhealth2 Doesn't seem like it was nearly 6 years ago though, anyone know what finally happened to those brave men?
  7. Saw the following on a camper van and instantly thought of a poster on here:- "I used to be schizophfrenic but we are ok now" .
  8. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=f7b_1322770389
  9. A cheeky chicken advert poking fun at Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe as "the last dictator standing" who misses the company of deceased autocrats has been pulled from South African television. The advert which upset Mugabe supporters shows a cheerless look-a-like pausing to reminisce about happier times with the likes of Idi Amin and Muammar Gaddafi, after placing the dead Libyan's name card on an empty banquet table. http://money.msn.co.nz/businessnews/8383506/nandos-pulls-mugabe-chicken-advert
  10. Probably because they have a lot of moron fans at that club who don't recognise a good player?
  11. Sad to say but when I stop laughing and sit quietly and have a think ( I can think sometimes you know ) I regret to say that I have to agree with those who say that they are very good at getting away with things. I fear that somehow they will get away with it yet again and shock horror they could win on the 18th."Luck of the Devil" is a phrase my mother used to use and that sprang into my mind just now. I would really, really, really love to be wrong. .
  12. BTF, I think YOU are the one being fair ref that D Conn. Never trust a journo, IMHO
  13. Corp last logged in on 23/11/11 but I bet he has viewed this thread without logging on. Just too frightened to log on and answer questions I suspect.
  14. 1976-child, you never cease to amaze me with your posts which at times are a tad "different" This one though has opened my eyes as I wouldn't have thought you loved donkeys. My wife and me used to visit that sanctuary when we lived in the UK and also sent them money quite a few times as we were so annoyed at the state some donkeys were in when first rescued. I HATE scum who mistreat animals so thank goodness for those sanctuary folks long may they continue. Well done young man.
  15. The world's first international sex school has opened which claims to teach its students how to be better lovers. But far from being a cheap thrill, one term at the "hands on" International Sex School in Vienna will cost pupils £1,400. Swedish-born "headmistress" Ylva-Maria Thompson says anyone over the age of 16 can enrol at what she describes as "the world's first college of applied sexuality". Students live in a mixed sex dormitory block where they're expected to practise their homework. "Our core education is not theoretical, but very practical. The emphasis is on how to be a better lover", the new school head added. "Sexual positions, caressing techniques, anatomical features. And we teach people hands on." http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2011/11/29/worlds-first-sex-school-opens-vienna_n_1118304.html?ref=mostpopular .
  16. No from another forum, it was part of a letter in the Independent newspaper. Just thought I would post it to stir things up a bit. .
  17. This was asked 4 pages ago (44859) but no-one has answered it.
  18. Do you remember when teachers, ambulance staff, nurses, midwives, doctors and firemen crashed the markets, wiped out economic stability, took billions in bonuses and paid no tax? No, me neither. Yet, it is public sector pensions which are under attack.
  19. Mero, Mack and even PFC123 I do indeed have sympathy for you guys as you come on here and take the flack and you seem decent fans. I suspect though that you are only a small portion of Pompey fans who didn't want to see Saints die and for that thank you. Snag is though that lots and lots did want Saints to die and being only a human who believes in an eye for an eye I wouldn't shed any tears if this Pompey lot do go under. Having said that though IF the fans start an AFC Pompey then I genuinely wish that club all the very best and really hope you do an AFC Wimbledon and get back into the League as soon as you can. .
  20. I have been told that it is a good idea to also change the water pump at the same time. The reasons quoted are:- The amount of labour involved accessing the cambelt is only repeated if the water pump had to be replaced at a later date. Also, as the water pump is driven from the cambelt, it makes sense to do them both at the same time. The load applied to the water pump bearing can change when a new belt is fitted and it is not unheard of for an old water pump to fail not long after a new cambelt has been fitted. In fact, many repairers will only take on a cambelt replacement job if they can replace the water pump at the same time because they have been caught out in the past. Some think as a precaution 5 years is the max time interval even if less milage than average has been driven. .
  21. and go to Yorkshire http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-15933599 A large-scale clean-up operation is under way after a tanker carrying more than 20 tonnes of yeast extract overturned on the M1. The lorry, which was believed to be carrying Marmite, crashed and spilt its contents onto the carriageway at about 22:15 GMT on Monday. Police closed the motorway in both directions between junctions 32 and 33 near Sheffield following the accident. The Highways Agency said it hoped the road would reopen at about 08:00 GMT. A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said the tanker overturned after being involved in a collision with a motor caravan. The tanker driver was taken to hospital but the driver's injuries were not believed to be serious. The spokeswoman said: "We were called at 10.15pm yesterday to reports of a tanker, which was carrying 23.5 tonnes of waste yeast, overturning. "Some of the contents were spilled on the northbound carriageway and we are in the process of emptying the remaining contents of the tanker and clearing up the spillage before it can be moved and the road reopened."
  22. A lady flight attendant doesn't agree with you lot ( or me either ) From another forum I quote:- Lemain, you say that -demanding to have sex with someone and grabbing his penis and crotch area- is not invading someone´s bodily integrity, is not meting out degrading treatment, but is merely 'silly behaviour and pretty harmless'. You also say that grabbing someone´s genitals and demanding sex needs to be seen in proportion, and warrants the cutting of slack. In other words, according to you, being grabbed in the crotch is part and parcel of being a flight attendant, and a flight attendant therefore should not report it to the police. Your logic is that if a passenger gets a criminal conviction for sexual assault, and suffers the consequences of such a conviction, the blame for those consequences lies with the flight attendant and not with the person who did the grabbing. According to you, the flight attendant, after having his genitals grabbed by a passenger, has to think of the consequences for the grabber and not report. The grabber does not have to think of the consequences of her own action, and should therefore not be made suffer the legal consequences of her behaviour. Your position strikes me as neither logical nor tenable Lemain. In fact, both from a legal and moral perspective, your position is indefensible. You are just plain wrong. The Universal Declaration of Human rights applies to all humans, and that includes flight attendants of both genders. I direct your attention to articles 3, 5, 7 and 8. You may also benefit from reading the the following, an excerpt of a paper called "The human right of bodily integrity and the challenge of intercultural dialogue" written by junior Professor Sybille Kalupner: Quote: No function of the modern legal system is as familiar to the citizens of western democracies as the protection of their bodily integrity. Should we come to suffer bodily injury at the hands of someone else, we can be sure that the responsible party will be made accountable in the court of law. The physician who commits malpractice, the motorist who mistakenly takes our right of way, and the drunk who could not control his emotions: All are held responsible for the harm they cause our body to suffer and all must face the sanctions accorded to them by the gravity of their actions and the pertaining rule of law. ... On both levels of society, on the level of interaction between society members as well as on the level of the relationship between the state and its citizens, the inviolability of the person is a type of cultural premise, a key concept in the moral self-image of western democracies. The significance of the inviolability of the person in current human rights debates can be understood in much the same way. The inviolability of the person consistently ranks, along with the right to life, at the top of the list of importance in both classical and modern human rights declarations. According to a differentiation common since Georg Jellinek, the inviolability of the person is a fundamental right of the status negativus, applying even before the other negative liberty rights, including the right to freedom and political participation. In the UN Declaration of 1948, which is still the central reference text in the debate concerning the universality of human rights, the inviolability of the person is formulated in Article 3 with the words, "Everyone has the right to life, freedom and safety of person"... So, that's you lot told then
