  1. wish I could see why RH is sticking by Stephens
  2. I'm pretty sure he would have gone earlier had it not been for that terrible helicopter tragedy Leicester suffered
  3. We aren't good enough in defence to park the bus against a team like Arsenal for 90 minutes, especially if Stephens plays and decides to put his arm up to hail a fkin taxi in the penalty area !
  4. Yes to both points, what we have now isnt choice its circumstances.
  5. It would have been vital had Cardiff won Friday night. A point would see us out the bottom three, that would be a bonus.
  6. It’s a good, honest interview that. What with Forster’s situation as well it shows footballers are only human as well despite all the trappings that go with it. Not my favourite player but fair play to him and hopefully he will continue in the right mindset.
  7. It’s us or Cardiff for that 3rd spot, simple as that. We need to take one more point than Cardiff, that’s all, that’s the goal. Surely we can do that.......can’t we ?
  8. It was yes.
  9. Umm, not exactly, he's said if you get relegated you can expect to lose your job. The rest is down to interpretation IMO
  10. yep
  11. given its the Cup Final at Wembley a couple of hours later i'm surprised it isnt earlier as well to be honest.
  12. He was yeah. Pretty sure he ended up at Newcastle at some point - possibly in Keegan's days there?
  13. Oh I don’t know about that, he wasn’t that bad. He’s no Ollie Lancashire, Lee Todd, Allan Bennett.......
  14. This is assuming we stay up of course....
  15. I look forward to that starting then - would help if he communicated with the fans for a start !
  16. dont ever stop cleaning the windows of your ivory tower will you ! supporters treatment of him has been no worse, or better, than his attitude on the pitch most of the time. I’ve never ever seen a player wearing a Saints shirt who has been so quick to blame everyone but himself when he screws up. He’s having a good spell, he had one under Puel as well. But it has to last more than a couple of months
  17. its the getting past Spurs and only being 3/4 points behind Cardiff, Burnley or Brighton that concerns me most otherwise yeah fair enough.
  18. Thats true, having said that pity Stephens hadn’t gone more gung ho and launched the bloody thing instead of that almost square pass to nobody in a red and white shirt.
  19. no I don’t believe they are either
  20. For nearly three seasons now the core of this squad has by and large failed miserably in games like this. All this “cold light of day/24 hrs later” stuff about it not being that bad has been going on match after match in all that time. Bertrand, Stephens, Romeu, PEH, Ward-Prowse, Redmond, Austin, Long - they have all been in and around the starting eleven that have ****ed up home wins that would have eased our plight, but no every single time they bottle it and play like bloody snowflakes. Its not good enough and if somehow we do stay up this promised squad over haul in the summer needs to be major.
  21. Yes how to improve a ****e squad - make it smaller, dont add any players so keep it ****e.
  22. This all day long. Why some people refuse to see this point is beyond me, its basic common sense. We are playing Russian Roulette with our Prem League future....yesterday we took a bullet.
  23. Yes but as you say you didnt go and you are basing your views on less than five minutes of highlights. Redmond for example was a disgrace in the last 15 mins, all he wanted to do was argue with the officials, with his own team mates, with the crowd. Long was bloody awful the whole time he was on the pitch. The only one who emerged with any credit I thought was Valery.
  24. we will never know cos every time it looked like he might get a chance he fell over himself or the ball or just totally failed to control it. If you want to believe Long is a better option than Gabbi would have been then you are delusional
  25. To all the people who: defended the January transfer window posted know it all and condescending posts aimed towards those of us not comfortable seeing Gabbi and Cedric leave only to be replaced by absolutely nobody. To those that insisted streamlining the squad now, in January and in the middle of a relegation scrap was the right thing to do instead of waiting until the summer. To those that just would not grasp that the manager was left with limited choices in a bare bones squad and thought that was fine..... Welcome to reality ! We are bottom three, our next five/six fixtures look very awkward, even if the team play ****e the majority have to be picked the following match. But it’s ok, Ralph is a magician not a football manager and blind faith will see us through cos let’s face it, Cardiff are worse than us right? The Cardiff that have done the double over us. Let that one sink in.
