If or when we get to the financial promised land of the Premiership I am sure ML will see a healthy return on his out lay. Businessmen, especially ones who are billionaires do not plan projects that will make them money or whatever on a strict 12 month turn round. It has been much mentioned that this is a 5 year plan or project as it now seems to be getting called and I would think at the end of the 5 years ML will take stock of his financial outgoings and weigh it up against possible profit in the long term or even, God forbid, balance it against the enjoyment it has bought him personally watching a football club that was virtually dead spring to life under his ownership. The money is is the Premiership, ML will be well aware of that.

I have no problem with him in midfield, I still think he would be quite good as a right sided midfield player so he could provide cover for the right back. But at right back - he is too slow if anyone with any pace is up against him, his positional play is not all it should be, he tends to ball watch at times and he isn't very good at holding the line. Now in this league you can probably get away with it 50%, maybe more, of the time but if we intend to take this league by the scruff of the neck next season Lloyd at right back would be a very big weakness unfortunately.

Merrington on Coyle - "he's been operating on a shoe string....they have offered him a bigger shoe string" !!! WTF.....
-
If ever there was a line written for a Carry On film thats it

The Daily Mirror have looked at who else scores goals in this league, apart from Beckford, and found this chap Lambert at Southampton......Southampton ? Aren't they strapped for cash ? An innacurate 2 + 2 by London journo's me thinks !
-
Indeed, who would want to in fairness
-
I assume he can play in the JPT Southern Final then
-
A Right Back please !
-
ha ha, it appears explorer saint doesn't do that much exploring
-
Yes, although if cheap enough I would still pick him up as back-up.
-
Now come on, you need to get out of the Lowe regime mindset
-
Excellent. I assume Ward is a no go now then is he ?
-
Could you translate this into English please.
-
Yep, me too - suggested they had some software whereby you could select your own, or a specific seat for Cup ties or if buying for friends who want to sit near by etc.

I agree, we should, but his contract is up at the end of the season so he wouldn't cost us anything.

He is certainly better than Thomson. Will reserve judgement on McLaggon until he is fit again. I think its a good signing. Antonio is a typical winger - when he is good he is very good, when he is bad, oh dear ? And he is only 19.....
-
We dont have back up for Lambert, in other words another target man, therefore he is better than nothing, which is what we currently have.
-
Well from my experience pre Christmas if he avoids Basingstoke he'll be fine
-
Leeds have had 3 and a half years to build the squad they have now. We have had just under 6 months. When fit we have a better forward line than them, they have a better midfield and defence. Considering how much longer they have had to prepare for this season than we have I think we have done rather well. They are better than us, but they are not miles ahead of us by any stretch.

If he is put off by a bit of snow and ice we dont want him - big girls blouse Hopefully this will turn out to be true, he sounds just what we need. Now for a right back please Mr Pardew !

That sir, is one of the funniest lines I have ever read on here, I dont think anyone could miss the point you are making

Exactly, how a tie that we stand a chance of winning and progressing to the next round can be boring is beyond my comprehension. According to some thats 3 boring ties out of the 4 we have had in this competition. Some people want jam it seems.

I do hope AP gets a bloody right back tho........
