For the record I don't hate students and don't mind young people having fun, but there is a limit. Bedford Place/London Road most mornings is strewn with rubbish, takeaways, vomit, blood etc I know my limits when it comes to drinking, but unfortunately alot of people don't. One of the stories related to this investigation is of a woman who had just had open heart surgery being intimitated by gangs of drunken louts. The Echo article is 5 pages long with different views from the public, police and even the street cleaners..

Todays main Echo story is that of 'out of control students'. This years intake of students have been branded the worst ever when it comes to alcohol fuelled violence and antisocial behaviour. Now police and council chiefs have told pubs and bars to put the price UP on alcohol, knowing that the skint students won't be able to afford as much. Thing is, I see it as unfair to Southampton residents and feel that the students not from our fair City should just f**k off now.
