  1. Hughes will get them bang up for this. If only we'd appointed him a month or two earlier.
  2. Cheeky insurance bet just in case though? ;) Been on the golf course recently too?
  3. Oh I agree with you, but undoubtedly it would speed up the process
  4. Yeh there is another one, can't quite remember which year. I'm sure someone (MLG ) will find out for us
  5. Peter Walton did a Brighton home game in the Championship where we won 3-0 and made some truly dreadful decisions, nearly all of them in our favour. That was at the height of a bit of bad blood between the two teams, was very, very funny though. Trevor Kettle is another one who is consistently awful, but tends to do lower leagues so we haven't had him for a while.
  6. There are more positives - we can get rid of some of our overpaid "stars"
  7. More conspiracy theories - Michael Oliver, the referee, his wife is a skate fan!!!!!
  8. Cardiff's nicer than Swansea anyway
  9. It's that sort of negative approach that has got us into this mess, copied straight out of the Pellegrino handbook, a draw is as good as a win...
  10. Fans should make a point of drinking pre-match elsewhere and boycotting Swansea city centre
  11. Well that will rile us up. I'm sure the players wouldn't need motivating but this sure will. They've just done our team talk for us. Hopefully the people of Cardiff will be more accommodating
  12. Really really nervous for this one. PLEASE Saints go 2-0 or 3-0 up (maybe not 2-0 because I still remember the Middlesbrough game...) with 10 minutes left and let us relax for a bit. Lol this is Southampton, we never do things the easy way.
  13. We would have enjoyed 'perfect' performances as we sunk to the bottom of the league. 5 points from our last three games, we would've got at most two under Pellegrino. How he got the job is anyone's guess, what a cock up.
  14. The student bit of Portsmouth is quite nice actually, but it does help that it's populated by outsiders. As soon as you go towards the opposite side of Commercial Road, you see the real side of Portsmouth, and it is not pleasant.
  15. It was only speculation, but one aspect of the deal is based apparently on the University's interest in acquiring property of some sort, nobody is quite sure what that exactly means.
  16. Exactly this. They are not out of the woods yet.
  17. On the other hand, opens up the possibility that we can get something against Man City, especially as we tend to play better against the big teams.
  18. As long as we beat Swansea we'll be safe, that doesn't change anything.
  19. Annoying, but on the other hand, maybe we do have a chance of getting something against them on the final day after all...
  20. Michael Oliver is the ref, at least he's one of the better ones.
  21. Arsenal will enter at the group stages if they finish 6th. Burnley will be the ones entering the July qualifying rounds.
  22. 15 draws this season, that's where the problem lies really. Has anyone ever stayed up winning just seven games? We're on six at the moment.
  23. Or, it gives us a bit of a safety net, as if we do win on Tuesday, Huddersfield know that a draw against Arsenal wouldn't be enough. I guess it depends how you look at it, we're out of the drop zone and I'd have taken that after the Chelsea defeat. Things are still in our own hands.
  24. I was in Portland once and they were asking me all sorts of questions about Matt Le Tissier etc. I was pleasantly surprised, but they are definitely the most knowledgeable fans. Other than basketball, soccer is the number one sport there.
