I think this was the season before the one you're referring to, but I remember there was a game against Everton in December where everyone was expecting us to get smashed, we had injuries everywhere, and we somehow won 3-0 December always seems to be bad for us. Adkins did a similar thing in his last match here at Chelsea... we were losing 2-0, brought him on and we got it to 2-2. I can see the logic in doing it, especially since Austin does have injury issues. Had he scored, it would have worked wonders.
