I think only Leicester and Spurs have done better in 2016 than us. That period in November and December has really cost us. And yet, we're guaranteed a top 10 finish and it's looking likely that we'll only finish as low as 8th. Hopefully, like Leicester did, we'll start the next season as we ended the last.

We can beat the top teams but we need a performance like against Arsenal or Liverpool to pull off a victory. Personally I think it will either be a draw or a narrow away victory

Defensively he isn't good enough. He's young though and we wouldn't have signed him for the money we did if we didn't think we couldn't improve him.

That is the true Southampton Way. Always making things difficult for ourselves. Still, a win is a win, but if we defend like that against City and Spurs there will only be one outcome.

What a stupid goal to give away. I know we're 8th and we should be happy but this team is far from perfect.

Interesting that Pelle and Mané have been dropped

Europa League is just a few extra games. What entices players is playing in the Premier League. Clasie, Van Dijk etc. didn't come here because we were playing Vitesse and Midtjylland. It was the opportunity to compete against Man Utd, City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.
