  1. Any word about his assistants? At Nice, they were Frédéric Gioria, Guy Mengual and Alexandre Dellal, but it seems to me that they are still employed at Nice (if wikipedia is reliable), so no idea if they would necessarily move with him. Gioria was at Nice before Puel arrived so not necessarily him. Guy Mengual was in charge of the U19 team and played with Puel at Monaco, so he could possibly come with him. Alexandre Dellal was the physical coach, and also worked with Puel at Lyon. With Jan Kluitenberg going, it is a role that needs filling. So if I was to hazard a guess, I'd say Guy Mengual and Alexandre Dellal will come with him.
  2. Yes, Prost left Lyon in 2010 and Puel was there from 2008-11. Another man he worked with was Remi Garde, the director of the training complex, who ended up succeeded him after he was sacked.
  3. Puel fell out with the board at Lyon, due to an unspecified reason
  4. He's right though. Sky are very rarely the first for any breaking news.
  5. Of course, a manager who got a team to the semi finals of the Champions League is no good for us
  6. Terrific news, he was my number 1 choice. He will be brilliant for us
  7. Some of these jokes about Puel are rather cruel
  8. Je suis Claude Puel
  9. It isn't true until Jack Schitt confirms it
  10. If our home kit is red/white and the away kit is black, what kit will we wear at Bournemouth?
  11. Slowly, yes poo-el but maybe a bit like pwel as well. If you say it quickly it sounds like pwel. It rhymes with the first part of Cruella
  12. To be fair, Villa were a dreadful team. Not sure you can really judge Garde based on that.
  13. Callum Slattery?
  14. This is old news from a few days ago. All it says is that Puel met with the club and held talks, which we already knew
  15. The only criticism of him would be his lack of experience outside of France. On the other hand, Koeman had no experience of the Premier League, likewise Pochetinno, and it worked out quite well...
  16. He got a rather average and normally midtable Nice side to 4th place. He's clearly not just an average manager, he'll be brilliant for us.
  17. I don't see it happening. He's already said he won't stand as prime minister in 2020 so it doesn't really make any sense. The Conservatives are more divided than ever; they need to focus on unifying again in the coming weeks.
  18. Great news! I wanted him as soon as K Billy confirmed he was the mystery man and Garcia was no longer interested. Claude Puel's Red and White Army (We hate Pompey) Claude Puel's Red and White Army (We hate Pompey) *clap clap clap* *clap clap* repeat ad infinitum
  19. Britain Elects ‏@britainelects 53s53 seconds ago EU referendum 'on the day' poll: Remain: 52% Leave: 48%
  20. YouGov are doing one. Apparently it's similar to the one they did for the Scottish referendum, and they got to within 1% of the actual result.
  21. As per Guan's previous info, the board haven't changed their mind on Pellegrini and the fact that he wouldn't be suitable for our system.
  22. Vive Claude Puel
  23. Adam Blackmore ‏@bigadamsport 57s57 seconds ago It's my understanding that neither Manuel Pellegrini nor Jurgen Klinsmann are being pursued by #saintsfc to be their new manager I'm hoping for Claude Puel!
  24. I'm saying nothing...
  25. I agree, there are so many people involved that literally everyone in the room would have to be in on it.
