I really really really hope West Ham get relegated

Abysmal draw. Especially as we have Sheff Utd away the following midweek. I'll be watching on the telly.

Ghee-la-vog-ghee

On the face of it, it's the type of signing Watford would make. He'll probably be alright as long as it's not the only winger we bring in.

Style of play - likes to play short passes Weaknesses - passing

Their results have been a defeat at Charlton, a narrow win against a clearly utter shit QPR and a draw at Swansea. Really we should win this game. We seem to have found our shooting boots, it would be madness to bring in Armstrong and drop one of Stewart/Archer. You'll assume JRob will come back in.

Well after tonight's performance we don't need any signings. Save the money for next season I reckon. One winger in Fraser is all we need.
-
Fine by me if it strengthens a team who won't be our rivals, he can't play against us anyway.
-
I'm not too concerned about lack of rumours. None of the players we've been linked with, apart from Spertsyan which obviously isn't going to happen, fill me with much confidence. Azaz maybe but not at the price Boro want. I trust Will Still when he says we will definitely be bringing in new wingers/10 so hopefully things are moving quietly behind the scenes.
-
The fact he can't get in the team, even when none of our forwards can score says it all. Edozie and Aribo outgoing news has gone quiet.

Yes all the games are on Now TV. Go to the EFL section in Sports, all the League Cup games are there. Coverage starts from 7.30pm.

https://www.whoscored.com/regions/252/tournaments/7/seasons/10784/stages/24580/playerstatistics/england-championship-2025-2026 Filtering it by goalkeepers, 25 have played in the league so far and Bazunu is ranked 19th

https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/transfers/wettbewerb/GB2 Ipswich and Leicester ahead as it stands but think the Dibling fee will take us beyond both of them.
-
Any two of those would be an immediate upgrade on what we have. Hopefully by now there are a few Premier League players who have been sidelined and have realised they won't be getting the game time unless they drop down a division so fingers crossed we'll start getting calls from their agents.
-
I'll wait until we lose 4 in a row including a 5-0 defeat before writing off Still and wanting Martin back. Oh hang on, that actually did happen in the Championship under Martin. And we still went up... He had a far better squad. We need a complete overhaul on the playing side. That's the issue.
-
Having watched the highlights, we definitely should've been 1-0 up before they scored. Robinson hitting the post twice but Downes... how did he miss?
-
Yup exactly. Hopefully the Roerslev signing is an indicator of us signing a few more proven players before the window closes.
-
3 games into the season and our best and only winger available is Ryan Fraser. That cannot be our only creative option. How has that happened?
-
Bad in both boxes. We need some new signings but can't say I'm optimistic we'll get them right. The two we signed early on are both on the bench! If they can't get ahead of this shower of shit, what was the point of signing them? Money wasted. We need quality, sort it out Spors, it's your job.

Ticket releases for August and Portsmouth games?
Pamplemousse replied to Ekimr's topic in The Saints
I see the blue few are up in the arms about the ticket price, but it's the same price for home fans as well... we'll be charging all Category A away teams the same Calling MLG to Twitter to dispel some Portsmyths... @Matthew Le God -

Enjoyed this from the FAQs on their website Can I bring a musical instrument to the game? Southampton will not permit musical instruments within the stadium. -
Referee is Josh Smith, who has a bit of Prem experience as he was in the middle when we lost at Brentford last season. He was also the ref who was kind enough to add on enough stoppage time when Flynn Downes scored against Watford a couple of seasons ago. He can't be any worse than the three duds we've had so far this season

Just the 4 cruise ships in town on Saturday, all of them scheduled to depart in the afternoon/late evening so yes it will be packed. Pride festival is based in Guildhall Square Saturday and Sunday., it's usually well attended. The march is at 11am, starts from the bottom of the high street heading up to the Guildhall.

Our pressing off the ball yesterday, particularly in the first half, was the best I've seen us do that since the Ralph days. Still things to work on for sure but we'll definitely get better.

They've played two relegation candidate teams. We will beat them quite easily. We definitely had improved this week from Wrexham; a full week of training, maybe a new signing or two, we're only going to get better. 2-0 routine home win.
